I’ll throw my 2 cents in here, though it is a repeat of what I’ve said all along …
I disagree that McCanns are caring parents. I think they are utter fakes, frauds, and actors, performing only for cameras or when strangers are watching.
People who don’t use child minders have something to hide.
Three year olds left alone can burn to death, start fires killing others, destroy property, cause injury, as easy as turning on a hob. TheyMcCanns had a death wish for their children, and didn’t care if that extended to other guests in the apartment villa. They knew on some level that something bad would happen, it was only a matter of time.
I agree that the McCanns have something to hide, and have always had something to hide.
I think they are not the people their mothers and fathers and acquaintances assume them to be. How many parents out there really know their children as well as they think?
It is very interesting to see the case gradually coming to light through the actions of the police who obviously have more than DNA evidence–but also impartial witness testimony, and cell phone records as well.
There is nothing that will convince me that the parents are innocent and naive, try though they might to form that impression. They are simply liars and fakes.

Do you think it is POSSIBLE that the McCanns did not do any of the following :
murder their child OR
kill her accidentally OR
sedate her OR
hide her body OR
have it hidden by someone else OR
dispose of her body on May 3rd OR
confess their “crime” to a priest OR
move her body weeks later in a hire car OR
rebury her body, possibly on the way to Huelva or Fatima

Is it, in your minds, even a possibility that Kate returned at 10.00pm and simply found her daughter gone?
Is it, in your minds, even a possibility that they don’t know what has happened to Madeleine?
I ask because I’d like to know if you have absolutely made up your mind about their guilt (apart from the guilt of leaving the children alone…….we know for certain they did that) or if you have an open mind on the evidence. (Obviously nobody could assume that because they left the kids alone for 20 - 30 minutes at a time, they would therefore do any of the things in my list above.)
The police seem to think there is, as yet, no sure evidence against them.
The situation could, of course, change at any time. They could either be charged or be relieved of their arguido status.
Just interested in your views.

I bid you well on this solemn All Saints Day and although I jest and joust I will light a candle for Madeleine and other missing children. And also candles for the good hearted but misguided Stig (both the “big” and the “real”), coolandcalm (misnomers are always trouble), Garth (such beautiful eyes I cry myself to sleep each night thinking about those eyes attached to that brain), dora (shall we never mention this name again) and other kindred spirits supporting the ‘good’ doctors.

I wanted to help search for Lacey but Pitty told me not to bother. She said Lacey was not around their home, not anyplace near it.
Besides the girlfriend, Scott used to take trips to the bay where he dumped Lacey’s body and watch the water….wonder what he was looking for?
The point Pitty was making - how sincere is the effort and how long does this effort last etc etc……I was shocked to hear that Kate didn’t look the first week. I’m real curious to know how much G. looked that first week - did he break a sweat?
But Pitty says it they weren’t going nuts looking that anything less doesn’t cut the mustard if you get my drift!

Jolie, I haven’t read through the the whole Hitchens’ incident yet but did find your post and it was perfectly reasonable. Then I read one of his responses where he and others start on that because someone posted as ‘anon’ that it is you or a friend in cahoots with your original comment.
I used to read his blog but then noticed I was being pulled along and saw how brutually critical he could be of anyone who didn’t agree with him 100%. I also became suspicious because his entire blog is a tease - just like the English press - it is salacious and not investigative but he often makes it sound as if he is an investigative journo but he is not a journalist of any kind from what his blog bio says:

Unless this is a fancy euphemism for journalist or reporter I don’t believe he is involved with any news agency or publishing company unless those little recipe and horoscope booklets at the market checkout count.
He’s a troubled little man - bald ugly man I should point out - and his responses to you were completely uncalled for even if it is his personal blog. One thing I admire about Paulo Reiss and Transfattyacid is that they permit even the unkind comments. I don’t trust Hitchens at all and think he is a liar and have for some time but never said it publicly before. If you notice over the weekend when you or someone else posted that Hitchens had vital info about Madeleine I groaned, “Why doesn’t he just come out with it then?” Because I knew his deal by September with his salacious comments but nothing to back them up.
Well sorry he attacked you like that and permitted others to tag team you. It’s a good lesson though. A lot of these so called journalists and reporters are nothing short of grifters and snakeoil sellinig conmen. (and a few women too!)

MISSING CHILDREN AND MONEY……MTV awards. One thing that sickens me is the celebrities attending tonights awards will each receive a goody bag worth in excess of £7,000. Diddy received a bit of bling watch worth £35,000. Why pander to these celebrities with said goody bags? They do not need these goody bags to get them to attend. They need to atend to keep them in the public eye. Why have these people who organise such events not got the scruples and awareness of the plight of the less fortunate in the world and decide to forego the goody bags and the watch and donate the money to much more worthy causes such asthe link below.

Except he’s not interested in your opinion. Frankly, if he knew anything he’d have let it out by now? I don’t put a lot of faith in anyone who claims to know more than anyone else but who never actually publishes their claims. It’s pretty much always just a ‘power play’ by someone desperate for attention (knowledge is power.. so you keep going back in case the tell you what they claim to know) and/or someone who is a bully.
I’ve happened across a few of these one person blogs and most are so skewed towards whatever agenda the writer happens to be on. At least in here you can call someone a ‘parrot faced scrawny wassock’ and someone will usually agree with you!
I thought I had read somewhere that Mike Hitchen had some ‘issues’ with the UK and/or the media in the UK?

1183 - Tell PItty that the McCanns have done a much, much better job of covering up their crime than Scott Peterson. Scott Peterson was obviously guilty from Day 1 and hardly bothered to cover it up, for goodness sakes. He was out with his new girlfriend a week later. Which is not the same as going for a jog the next week.

Pitty kept bugging me about that Scot Peterson case and Lacey and the amount of time Scott did not spend looking, and how he just wasn’t that involved….and then she started reciting other cases where the guilty party didn’t go out and beat the bushes, so to speak, and told me to check it out with the Mc’s………………
