Think how many little 4-year-old brunette-headed little girls die in Iraq every day. Think how many of their fathers do, and how many of their mothers die every damn day. Think of the little 4-year-old girls with cancer in the USA and in the UK and in France and in Poland. And– let us not mention! — the little black-haired 4-year-old girls in China who are going to die this year or next because their waters are polluted and filty and filled with chemicals and crap.

But the tumult that has resulted from her disappearance no longer has anything to do with the Madeleine who giggled and played in the creche. THat person is probably dead. So the rest of this has moved very much away from Madeleine. Whatever is going on here– the accusations and theories and pontificating and fighting and weird news stories and rebuttals– doesnt’ have much to do with Madeleine herself, wouldn’t you agree?

I got labeled that (stupid crazy American chick) and so that is how people responded, no matter how reasonable I was. There was someone else posting under my name for a while who was a bit more nasty than me, but it was not during Normal Business Hours, and it wasn’t all that unreasonable. But then they started accusing me of being Karalyn, and Shantily, and this person , and that person, so pretty soon everything posted by these other people were as good as posts by Krissie, and it was totally nuts. yes, it is all about Madeleine. This is a small girl who giggled with her friends, and had fun with her friends. Sat in the pool, played in the creche, and hoped to have a happy holiday,how you can satirise it is beyond me.No matter what your agenda with her parents, she deserves better.
