Madeleine McCann: A Titanic Struggle With The Germans And Slavery In Morocco
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “IS MADELEINE A CHILD SLAVE IN MOROCCO?”
“Madeleine McCann may have been condemned to a life of slavery working as a ‘little maid’ for a rich Arab family…” Or not
Page 5: “’Madeleine will be used as a little maid’” – so suggests Inspector Hicham Alaoui of the Moroccan Police in El Hajeb near Fez
Little maids, notes the paper, are “collected by rich families as ‘curiosities’ as well as servants. A woman from a group called Ecpatuk says such children are “vulnerable to abuse”. The Express sys the girls are abused “physically, emotionally and sexually”. Can Madeleine McCann be among them? Maybe…
“Sacked detective called in to help with the probe” – Chief Inspector Goncalo Amaral is talking with new chief Paulo Rebelo
“Fury over magazine ‘sick’ ads” – German magazine titanic has lampooned the case, using Madeleine’s image in spoof supermarket adverts. Gerry and Kate McCann call it “sick” and “very hurtful”. The magazine says Madeleine McCann is “getting a bit much for many people”
DAILY MIRROR front page: “Clear us… you have no case”
Says a friend of Kate and Gerry McCann: “They are adamant they should now be cleared”, as are many suspects in ongoing investigations
Page 7: “McCann ‘clear us’ demand’” – Says Clarence Mitchell: “If the reports are true clearly it would indicate the police absolutely, and quite rightly, have no case against Kate and Gerry”
DAILY MAIL front page: “Oh. Come off it, Heather, how dare you compare your ordeal to Kate McCann’s?” Heather Mills is on the telly
Page 7: “Police pursuit of McCanns ‘is running out of steam’” – The public prosecutor in Portugal says Kate and Gerry McCann will not face further police interviews “unless detectives can produce stronger evidence against them”
Mark Williams-Thomas, a former detective with Surrey Police, says the McCann’s private detectives could be on the wrong trail in Morocco. Or not
THE SUN page 24: “GERMAN MAG’S SICK JOKES ABOUT MADDIE – McCanns’ horror as spoof ad pokes fun at lost girl”
Ad advert in satirical Titantic magazine promises the kitchen cleaner will “remove all traces at the home” even DNA traces. The adverts warn that just because Madeleine’s face is on the product it does not mean they can be taken for free. The Sun is disgusted. It reproduces the images and the words to allow its readers to share in its disgust
A march on the German embassy is not yet in the planning
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE SICK NEW TWIST – Horror at German abuse of missing tot”
The Germans have her. A German paedo!
Page 7: “TOTALLY SICK – A full reproduction of the spoof adverts. “McCann’s agony as rag mocks hunt for Maddie.” Thanks to the Star and Sun, the McCanns now know that an obscure German magazines has made jokes about their case
Says Clarence Mitchell: “It shows Madeleine herself no respect… The magazine did not seek permission to use Madeleine’s image to be used on this so-called joke. It they had it would almost certainly not have been given”
So much for doing anything to keep Madeleine in the news
THE INDEPENDENT page 5: “Mills: I am treated as badly as Kate McCann and Diana.” More on Lady Mucca
THE TELEGRAPH page 9: “Madeleine police ‘consult sacked head of inquiry’” – chief inspector Goncalo Amaral is on the case. Sort of
The paper says detectives are “no closer to solving the case”. And the campaign to find Madeleine goes on…

I see the fund had gone up since I last looked. Surely now they can close it, isnt over a million enough? can they not have any further donations directed straight to ’save the children’?

I’m having trouble getting my post to appear so here’s a very abbreviated version of my message.
Today I read Mike Hitchen’s blog (i on global trends) and the comments, to which I added my own to. The responses from Mike Hitchen’s to those comments of mine and others was a real eye-opener. I thought you should read today’s post (The McCanns: Why?) and the comments in particular. Please post your opinions about them afterward. I would appreciate hearing your views.
I will post a link separately, in case that is the problem with my post going through.

When I first posted on this site a couple of weeks ago, I was willing to believe in the possibility of the McCann’s innocence in this affair, EXCEPT regarding what I saw as the incredibly apparently foolish (rather than heartless) act of leaving their children alone. Once they fled Portugal I was tending to smell a rat, but still willing to believe they could be innocent of Madeleine’s actual disappearance. With only the media events of these past few weeks to go by, I’m convinced that these are very strange people indeed. Now I’m not sure what would convince me that they aren’t hiding the truth.

Stevo 358- And now you’ve got the laptop you can monitor daily the interest being accrued in the Fund, don’t go too mad with the money though it’s got to last if you’re not going back to work.

Not only that, but Clarence Mitchell says the German stories “show Madeleine herself no respect.”
But that’s not true–the German articles show THE MCCANNS “no respect.” Especially the kitchen cleaner part–that removes DNA traces. Shows more and more a mainstream view that the PJ have public support for suspecting the McCanns. This is NOT what Clarence and company want to see happening. This is what they get the big bucks to prevent.
That jabber about things being “hurtful” is just a prelude to lawyer talk. But as this increasing public view gains control, things could well change out there for the McCanns.

RTP tomorrow shows special news article on Madeleine case the RTP goes to transmit in the friday, day 2 of November, a special news article on the disappearance of Madelein McCann, reconstituting the decisive moments of the case and separating the facts of the speculation. The work, of journalist Sandra Felgueiras and with image of Carlos Pinota, intends to be “a guide” for, six months after the disappearance, recentrar the public opinion on what it knows of the inquiry and that doubts it is still necessary to clarify. Long of last the six months world-wide public opinion it attended a succession of information, speculations and emotions on the disappearance of the British child, the 3 of May, of the apartment where it passed vacation with the family in the Beach of the Light, in the Algarve. In a first phase the police inquiries had been guided in the direction of the abduction. Later, with the intervention of some specialists and two English dogs ADN vestiges had been discovered that, pparently, had inverted the route of the inquiry. The parents of Maddie, who had led an intense and unknown mediática campaign to the global scale in search of the son, had been constituted arguidos and had returned to the Joined Kingdom, starting to constitute plus one of the parts of gigantic puzzle, that still nobody obtained to mount.

Have you read Mike Hitchen’s blog ‘i on global trends’ ? He’s been blogging frequently about the Madeleine McCann case. His post today is entitled: “The McCanns: Why?”
http://ionglobaltrends.blogspot.com/2007/11/mccanns-why.html
Someone posted a comment anonymously (8:59) that they thought this post was a marked departure from his recent ones that led people to believe he had inside information about the McCanns’ past (some deep, dark secret from the 90’s) that is the reason they are so sheltered by higher-ups and government types. He also has hinted recently that he knew behind-the-scenes activities that were close to bringing the McCanns to justice. Anonymous was attacked for this simple observation, which I agreed with. I stood up to support him/her and was quickly painted with the same brush of being a supporter of the McCanns, which I denied. After the insults, I made a final post, which I’d like you to read:

Don’t worry, Mike, I won’t be staying or returning to your blog. I was waiting for your response to my post before going, though.
You’re so full of yourself, aren’t you? I can’t believe I was taken in by your previous posts and had actually posted links to your blog on Anorak because I thought you had something interesting to say. I will definitely give those folks a heads-up to read this posts and the comments, though, so they can assess for themselves what kind of a person you are. The regulars there know me and know I am a reasonable and fair poster and will be interested in learning what I have discovered.
All you had to do was ask reasonable questions of me or anonymous 8:59 and respond with respect to have a real conversation but you chose to belittle and ridicule us. That doesn’t speak well for you.
I will leave you and your sycophants alone in your ‘harmonious,’ conspiratorial world. It’s obvious that you aren’t looking for debate or differences of opinion here.

By Jolie. And thanks for including the word “sycophants” as has been used so many times by others of your persuasion.
So has obvious that you aren’t looking for degbate or differences of opinion here.
But then originality is not your strong point is it?
I am sure we will meet again when you appear once more with the same pattern, same words, same phrases.
Feel free to start your own blog by the way, I am sure I would be a welcome visitor.

I thought people who might be ‘believers’ of Mike Hitchen’s blog would be interested in reading today’s blog post and, particularly, the comments that follow it. They were a real eye-opener for me.
And please respond here with your comments on this subject. I’d like to hear your honest opinions.
THANKS!

Can I argue against including Gordon Broon (I fancy him!). No, wasn’t his support pre aguido/a status? one bereaved dad to another? one hoping to become PM and the other with wider agenda ambitions? before it went wrong for McCannasal

That picture has Kate and Gerry, along with Uncle Brian Kennedy, showing off a Madeleine T-shirt. Kennedy used to be quoted often in the press as “a family spokesman” but he dropped out of sight after the OTHER Brian Kennedy, wealthy magnate, also (quietly) joined the Search Fund Committee.

Funnily enough I heard Gerry on Radio news this morning.:
” I am returning to work to bring life back to normality as much as possible. It is time as WE have done absolutely everything we can to find Madeline ourselves and can do nothing more now, and it is time to return to work. ”
Unreal.!!!!!

im starting to believe they are innocent,no parents could have left 3 kids under 4 alone ,unless they were completly sure NOTHING could happen to them in half an hour,no parents would travel half of europe meeting people unless they were looking for missing child,no one would be able to set up fund ,raise so much money unless they were 100 percent ,focusing on finding daughter, and NO.ONE but no.one would hire best extradition lawyers unless they were only intent on looking for daughter with nothing to hide, thats it they have me convinced

300 bianchigirl - no no no - I live in the UK, and trust me, I dont know anyone that condones child neglect. It isnt a British thing to neglect our children. I think the vast majority are very family orientated. Nobody I know personally thinks that the McCanns have acted responsibly. Please dont think that of the UK.

How about Gordie Broon for the list? He seems to like having long chats with gerrykins. Seems like he’s gone quiet now though. Trouble with the opinion polls I think.
Kirsty Wark has done her bit I think - not exactly famous though

One of Kate’s relatives, Michael Wright, provided an insight into the feelings driving the family’s determination not to allow Madeleine’s case to slip from public view.
After thanking the British and Portuguese press for their coverage he told reporters on Thursday afternoon: ‘Kate and Gerry are the leaders of the whole campaign. Their ability to remain positive and focus on what we can do rather than go to the dark places - that they perhaps visited in the early days - is where our focus is, and it drives us all on.’

Kissed all the boys and settled for the pugnacious little shit, Gerry McCann? Why? Seriously, why? She could’ve surely found a more attractive med man than medman McCann? Love the link you suggested. Still doesn’t look like a nurturing type, though. Face as cold as ice. Cold as ice/sacrifice? The songs won’t leave me alone!

I’ve seen that photo before and it makes me so mad the way they all seem to be promoting the t-shirt more than the search for the missing daughter. Anyone looking at that photo would not be able to deduce it was two grieving parents.

Thanks for making sense of my post 170. I’m glad you got the gist of what I was trying to say.
It seems to me too that they are celebrating the fact that their deceit has not yet been fully uncovered.
Both of them are far too self confident in my opinion and I’ve never liked the 100% conviction of each other’s innocence comments they’ve made in the past. I was horrified by the find the body comment too.
I still don’t understand why the media love them so much. Gerry has become far too political in his addresses to the great British public, and the little girl lost act of Kate does not stand up well to her status as a doctor. She appears to be totally unfeeling towards anyone but herself.
This “Campaign” has been mainly about Gerry and Kate and how they are the victims, whilst the real victim, Madeleine, has been secondary. They are to obsessed with not being called to book over their blatant child neglect, which is, in my humble opinion, the real cause of this tragedy.
Like all of us who post on here I truly hope that Madeleine is found, alive and well, but with people who genuinely love and care for her.
The rest of the family members seem also to have vanished. Aunty Phil is long gone and now Mr and Mrs Healy have vanished too. Cuddle Cat must be back in Portugal, looking for the little blonde girl who was his constant companion - or so we’re led to believe. Or is he in the washing machine again? What else did Kate wash ?
And what happened at Huelva? Someone please tell me. Is that where the pet crematorium was?
