No I don’t know just like yourself but I am entitled to my opinions so go bug someone else. And yes people have made comparisons between the McCanns and serial killers I have seen it in previous discussions and commented on it. Like I said search past archives I am sure you will find it. Why would that be so hard to believe anyway, after all some of the posters on Anorak make all kinds of far-fetched claims.

in 541 remigius mentions GM being “afraid”. If he knows something about important players his minders may really be his warders - watching him closely to ensure he doesn’t blab. Of course, “suicides” can be arranged (Dr David Kelly’s name springs to mind, Robin Cook…).

Yes, isn’t it all kind of strange?
Death threats alone don’t get you a security cop at taxpayer expense. Not normally. Salman Rushdie got a guard because of the public security aspect re: terrorism, Islamic fundamentalism, free speech issues, etc.
But most people named as suspects in crimes abroad don’t get guarded at home.
So we must focus on the rich and powerful who pull these strings….

Yep I think this ruse has been considered. They need a fresh injection of sympathy right now. The mortgage pay-offs from the slush fund did them a lot of harm I think. GM returning to work has not done them much good either.
I agree pregnancy is good for PR and staying out of jail. As I have posted before, I’m still waiting for KM to stage a “collapse” that puts her in hospital - good photo material.
I hope she gets a good dose of MRSA

Actually, the Lizzie Borden case is relevant to this one. Her defence was that an intruder did it, even though he wouldn’t really have had the time. She was found not guilty because no one thought a nice, religious, well-brought up girl could do such a terrible thing, but posterity thinks she did it.
I grew up singing the rhyme before I knew it was a real crime.
Lizzie Borden took an axe
Gave her mother forty whacks
When she saw what she had done
She gave her father forty-one
I wonder what Kate and Gerry’s rhyme will be?
