Madeleine McCann: Mafia, A Bag Of Clothes And Missing Children
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
NEWS OF THE WORLD: “Maddie DNA clue in airport bag”
A bag of clothes containing “DNA linked to Madeleine McCann” has been found dumped by a road in Portugal.” It is a white carrier bag. It was in a layby two weeks ago near Faro airport.
“The bag contained a blue fleece jacket and a pair of adult jeans with traces of DNA that contained ‘moderate’ links to Madeleine”. And: “There was also a SHOWER CURTAIN inside.” And a white flannel, a green elastic band, a light green child’s T-shirt with a green flower on the front and a pink and blue pencil case with a pink heart motif
“Godfather in Madeleine hunt… Crime godfathers in Morocco—where there have been several alleged sightings of Maddie - have been told cops will scale back drug busts if they do”
SUNDAY MIRROR front page: “MY LITTLE MADDY” - a picture of Madeleine McCann on a pony with Kate McCann by her side
• “McCanns heartache as Cops say: “Case closes in 7 weeks
• Police to leave cloud of suspicion over Kate and Gerry”
SUNDAY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE MYSTERY – McCANN FRIENDS TO BE NAMED AS SUSPECTS”
“Dr Russell O’Brien and his partner Jane Tanner, Matthew Oldfield and Dr David Payne were last night forced to bring in their own lawyers after increasing fears that Portuguese police were preparing to implicate them in the case of the vanished four-year-old girl”
So will they be named as suspects or not? The Express say yes and then prevaricates
DAILY STAR ON SUNDAY front page: “MADDIE SIX MONTHS ON – 15 NEW CLUES”
That picture of Madeleine McCann on a horse. A clue?
SUNDAY PEOPLE: “ANSWER OUR PRAYERS - ON THE SIX-MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF LOSING MADDIE Kate weeps at church service for Maddie as parents suffer crushing blow”
“The devout couple first took two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie for ‘a few moments of solitude’ at their village church to remember missing Maddie”
A solitude watched by person who told the press? No need with Clarence Mitchell to fill in the gaps, Says he: “Kate and Gerry wanted a few moments of solitude praying for Madeleine with the twins”
Inside the church: “A collage of pictures of a happy Maddie - including the one…of her sitting on a black Shetland pony - took pride of place near the altar. Six snaps of the youngster next to smiling faces of other missing children were pinned onto a green notice board. Supporters were encouraged to look at the pictures before praying”
And they pray for…
The People looks at “respected” Portuguese daily Publico, which tells: “Six months on from Madeleine’s disappearance, the police theory remains the same. That the child died by accident in her room - and her parents committed the crime of hiding her body”
DAILY MAIL: “Madeleine’s parents hold prayer vigil six months to the minute after she disappeared”
There are about 200 people at the “700-year-old church” near Rothley, Leicestershire
The McCanns are suspects
“Other missing children - including British toddler Ben Needham, who disappeared while on holiday in Greece in 1991, were also remembered at the service”
Did Ben Needham’s family ask for this? Want it?
Says the Rev Rob Gladstone: “Comfort and liberate all those, especially young children who have been taken from their families against their will, give courage to their grieving families”
A board says “Pray for all missing children.” How were the faces on the board selected? Many children are missing
THE INDEPENDENT: “Six months after Madeleine, another 600 are still missing”
Missing persons charities yesterday released figures “showing that more than 600 children have been missing in the UK for as long as Madeleine McCann, and are still unaccounted for”
Many are foreign. Many are teenagers. Not all are blonde
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Prayers for Madeleine McCann, six months on”
“The 3,500-strong population of Rothley - its trees decked in yellow ribbons and messages of support - came to a near standstill as Kate and Gerry arrived from their nearby home”
Locals can’t move for the press?
Rothley is an “affluent Midlands enclave”. This is McCann Land – the enclave - a small territory culturally and ethnically different form the surrounding lands
Says Gerry in his blog: “We have no idea whether she is suffering, but we have to hope and pray that she is being treated like a princess, as she deserves”
THE GUARDIAN: “Madeleine book notes the ‘contradictions’”
More on Maddie 129, a book by Hernani Carvalho and Luis Maia
“The message is that the case just doesn’t add up,” says a representative of the book’s publishers
THE SCOTSMAN: “Six months on, McCanns in new Maddie plea”
The picture of Madeleine on a Shetland pony was taken on a day out at the Hatton Country World park in Warwickshire on April 13 – “less than three weeks before she went missing”
THE TIMES: “Gerry McCann: ‘our princess prayer for Madeleine’”
Gerry McCann’s blog: “It is so painful for us simply being separated, but all the more distressing when we have to speculate about the situation Madeleine finds herself [in]. We have no idea whether she is suffering but we have to hope and pray that she is being treated like a princess, as she deserves”

Crack cocaine is smoked using a crack pipe. The high is incredibly intense and instant, but lasts only minutes, within 20 minutes the user is seeking another high. The addictive nature of this particular form of cocaine is underestimated at the users peril.

Of course, the awful Dunblane tragedy was caused by a senior copper, aware of, or sctively involved in, the Scottish high level paedophile ring, which involved top Scottish politicians, judges and police officers, overruling a junior Fire Certificate copper who thougt that Thomas Hamilton (who killed the children) was most unsuitable to continue to hold a firearms certificate.
No wonder the documents in that case won’t be released for another 100 years…

Mention of ” Moroccan Mafia” has raised the spectacle, possible that they took the accidentally dead Madeline to order of McCann Tappas 9 .?Are they waiting payment for services rendered.? Maybe Tappas 10 was Mafia Don !!! Really .How gullible are we.?
Oh my how the imagination wanders………..
Whatever the case in end ( if there BE an end) these have to be the MOST bizarre parents ever.
Sending “demands” into a police investigation.Sending balloons into skies.Blogging about “princess”, and jogging, and picnics . Trotting to churches/ Pope despite Kate’s mother saying with some amazement, they have never been really religious.Having Clarence and Branson and Sky/Murdoch on board.Threats to sue everyone.(.probably why papers are so sympathetic) Playing many rounds of golf .(Life goes on ? )
Extraordinary case. No wonder they are suspects. Bags of clothes, and shower curtains..oh dear do come on. Numerous sighting in Morocco all unfounded. Every parent of every blonde child from Spain to Morocco suspect. As IF . “Because you are worth it” will be doing a roaring trade in brown hair dye at this rate.
I am fed up and bored with these people. “‘Fess up or shut up.”

230. It’s funny, well some of it, but you posted this list before. It’s redundant. Who minds a good sense of humour? I don’t. Please do continue but remember timing, variety and spontaneity are what make good comedy. Since you’ve shared this great comedic list with us before it lessens its efficacy.

here’s a good’un about “an unhinged woman” who started off using the media and is now complaining when the media turn against her…
ring any bells? no it’s not scouser bagabones from Rothley - this one’s got tits and a warm personality - well relatively speaking in the latter but no question about the former.
what exquisite fun…
she even goes on about media attention affecting her health and “suicide”
has lady bagabones topped herself yer?

A PORTUGUESE COMMENT
A chap/chappess from Portugal has just posted this, which offers an interesting insight, on another Forum:
QUOTE
I take this opportunity to say on Nov. 2 and 3 we in Portiugal were literally overloaded with McCann features on TV. Besides the “Anatomia de Um Mistério” and “Sociedade Civil” programs, we had a big debate on SIC simultaneously with Sandra Felgueira’s program (which I recorded but haven’t managed to see yet), we had a very confident Moita Flores on SIC’s evening news yesterday, we had Paulo Sargento and his 3D video reenactment… people are talking freely about the case again, and expressing a acomplete consensus that Maddie is dead and the parents are envolved in hiding the body.
But even more than that, people are talking about the political implications, which had practically never been addressed before. Even when the Sandra Felgueiras program was announced in Telejornal on Nov. 2, it was underlined that it would address the political implications. This is very significant because RTP is the state channel, and they couldn’t do this unless they were cleared from above on the subject. Also because of this I’d say the information contained in the program is as trustworthy as it gets — the reenactments were surely made with direct assistance from the PJ (the detail about blood having been found under a parquet tile of the apt., for instance, was surely not invented).

Actually the ‘whole point’ of crack is to stimulate dopamine receptors. Some crack addicts will inject - not usually but it is not uncommon.

Tony Bennett Says:
“REPLY: Here I part company from you. What evidence is there for that? The only thing that I think might be possible here is that some of the ‘Tapas 9′ were snorting crack cocaine (maybe a very pure sample) or similar on or after the evening of 2 May and something went hideously wrong, as it often does with crack cocaine users…violence, high sexual drive and excitement, paranoia etc.”
Yes, Tony, but then “What evidence is there for that?” That is equally just speculation.
Actually, it is quite possible that the pedophiles who were abusing the children were also using drugs, and it could be that both speculations have some truth to it. Even if a pedophile had killed Madeleine, it does seem that this was an accident.
In a more direct answer to your “”What evidence is there for that?”, I would say that (as m.e. pointed out) there are various indications that the McCanns (and others of Tapas9) were willing to allow their childrend to be sexually abused by pedophiles.
Have you ever had any socializing or conversation with pedophiles? Probably you have, without ever knowing that they were pedophiles. But I doubt you have discussed with pedophiles how they go about obtaining permission for access to children, what they are willing to pay for this, etc.
Sure, I’d agree that to take a case to court, or to get a conviction, a lot of evidence is necessary. However, there is not much evidence necessary to pursue a logical direction, and this can have benefits even if no charges can be made. For example, the police may be able to obtain evidence (for other charges, such as illegal disposal of body, obstruction of justice, etc) by pursuing their pedophile leads. At the very least, they add to their database, which will help in future cases. Chances are, they suspect the McCanns of links to pedophiles as a result of compiling information from past cases.

Not sure about that Tony B unless the drug is used differently in the UK than here in the States. But ‘crack’ cocaine is typically if not always smoked. Powdered cocaine is usually snorted or sometimes injected. If smoked it is mixed with baking soda but most powder cocaine users snort to ingest.
Due to their affluence, if the McCanns were into drugs, my guess is it would be the powdered variety. Here in the States only the poorest or most desperate drug users are addicted to crack.

whole point of crack cocaine is to smoke it

Afternoon, all, long time no see. I’d kind of made a pact with myself not to speculate anymore until there was something positive on the “PJ to interrogate Tapas 7″ story. At first sight I was heartened by the Sunday Express front page today, but it hasn’t really appeared anywhere else and I fear it could be a rehash of the same story from a couple of weeks ago.
At post 72 Bishop Brennan asked:
QUOTE
“I worry about motive… the level of motive required for the Tapas 7 to assist / collude with the abduction scenario (knowing the seriousness of the crime - covering up a death) is enormous. It’s hard to think of a scenario where there would be sufficient motivation.”
UNQUOTE
I think in the recent Spanish TV interview Gerry said something like the Tapas 7 “have nothng to be scared of” which sounds a little loaded - i.e. so long as they don’t spill the beans. Motives I guess could include real fear that they will come to physical harm if they split ranks, or a realisation that they are also involved in serious crimes and therefore everyone must sink or swim together. Just theories, of course.
Rachel Oldfield hasn’t been mentioned lately - apparently she is in recruitment now but she is a qualified solicitor and worked in legal practice in the 90s. So she should know full well the dangers in playing a constant game of “double or quits” with the authorities.
