Madeleine McCann: Mafia, A Bag Of Clothes And Missing Children
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
NEWS OF THE WORLD: “Maddie DNA clue in airport bag”
A bag of clothes containing “DNA linked to Madeleine McCann” has been found dumped by a road in Portugal.” It is a white carrier bag. It was in a layby two weeks ago near Faro airport.
“The bag contained a blue fleece jacket and a pair of adult jeans with traces of DNA that contained ‘moderate’ links to Madeleine”. And: “There was also a SHOWER CURTAIN inside.” And a white flannel, a green elastic band, a light green child’s T-shirt with a green flower on the front and a pink and blue pencil case with a pink heart motif
“Godfather in Madeleine hunt… Crime godfathers in Morocco—where there have been several alleged sightings of Maddie - have been told cops will scale back drug busts if they do”
SUNDAY MIRROR front page: “MY LITTLE MADDY” - a picture of Madeleine McCann on a pony with Kate McCann by her side
• “McCanns heartache as Cops say: “Case closes in 7 weeks
• Police to leave cloud of suspicion over Kate and Gerry”
SUNDAY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE MYSTERY – McCANN FRIENDS TO BE NAMED AS SUSPECTS”
“Dr Russell O’Brien and his partner Jane Tanner, Matthew Oldfield and Dr David Payne were last night forced to bring in their own lawyers after increasing fears that Portuguese police were preparing to implicate them in the case of the vanished four-year-old girl”
So will they be named as suspects or not? The Express say yes and then prevaricates
DAILY STAR ON SUNDAY front page: “MADDIE SIX MONTHS ON – 15 NEW CLUES”
That picture of Madeleine McCann on a horse. A clue?
SUNDAY PEOPLE: “ANSWER OUR PRAYERS - ON THE SIX-MONTH ANNIVERSARY OF LOSING MADDIE Kate weeps at church service for Maddie as parents suffer crushing blow”
“The devout couple first took two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie for ‘a few moments of solitude’ at their village church to remember missing Maddie”
A solitude watched by person who told the press? No need with Clarence Mitchell to fill in the gaps, Says he: “Kate and Gerry wanted a few moments of solitude praying for Madeleine with the twins”
Inside the church: “A collage of pictures of a happy Maddie - including the one…of her sitting on a black Shetland pony - took pride of place near the altar. Six snaps of the youngster next to smiling faces of other missing children were pinned onto a green notice board. Supporters were encouraged to look at the pictures before praying”
And they pray for…
The People looks at “respected” Portuguese daily Publico, which tells: “Six months on from Madeleine’s disappearance, the police theory remains the same. That the child died by accident in her room - and her parents committed the crime of hiding her body”
DAILY MAIL: “Madeleine’s parents hold prayer vigil six months to the minute after she disappeared”
There are about 200 people at the “700-year-old church” near Rothley, Leicestershire
The McCanns are suspects
“Other missing children - including British toddler Ben Needham, who disappeared while on holiday in Greece in 1991, were also remembered at the service”
Did Ben Needham’s family ask for this? Want it?
Says the Rev Rob Gladstone: “Comfort and liberate all those, especially young children who have been taken from their families against their will, give courage to their grieving families”
A board says “Pray for all missing children.” How were the faces on the board selected? Many children are missing
THE INDEPENDENT: “Six months after Madeleine, another 600 are still missing”
Missing persons charities yesterday released figures “showing that more than 600 children have been missing in the UK for as long as Madeleine McCann, and are still unaccounted for”
Many are foreign. Many are teenagers. Not all are blonde
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Prayers for Madeleine McCann, six months on”
“The 3,500-strong population of Rothley - its trees decked in yellow ribbons and messages of support - came to a near standstill as Kate and Gerry arrived from their nearby home”
Locals can’t move for the press?
Rothley is an “affluent Midlands enclave”. This is McCann Land – the enclave - a small territory culturally and ethnically different form the surrounding lands
Says Gerry in his blog: “We have no idea whether she is suffering, but we have to hope and pray that she is being treated like a princess, as she deserves”
THE GUARDIAN: “Madeleine book notes the ‘contradictions’”
More on Maddie 129, a book by Hernani Carvalho and Luis Maia
“The message is that the case just doesn’t add up,” says a representative of the book’s publishers
THE SCOTSMAN: “Six months on, McCanns in new Maddie plea”
The picture of Madeleine on a Shetland pony was taken on a day out at the Hatton Country World park in Warwickshire on April 13 – “less than three weeks before she went missing”
THE TIMES: “Gerry McCann: ‘our princess prayer for Madeleine’”
Gerry McCann’s blog: “It is so painful for us simply being separated, but all the more distressing when we have to speculate about the situation Madeleine finds herself [in]. We have no idea whether she is suffering but we have to hope and pray that she is being treated like a princess, as she deserves”

Thanks for comment…..no point trying to remark on the rubbish printed in the Press, best to stick to what we DO know for a fact. Very little sadly and only hoping the Portugese Police
are not as dumb as everyone seems to think and have far more info than we give them credit
for. I read somewhere that an “aguido” can be suspect for eight, months before being formally charged hope they succeed in making their evidence watertight.

Indeed perhaps.
But it is not unquestionable proof
that it was due to the PJ.
Ther are very very few reliable “sources”
of genuine information in the whole affair.

You posted your “source”.
It showed your comment as being inaccurate.

Yes, it says “the press.” But likely the press got that info from the PJ.
A friend of mine who was adopted discovered he had a “forged” birth certificate, and that it was condoned by a court, so that there would never be any kind of paternity dispute.
It isn’t just that Gerry is a doctor. Apparently, in some legal circumstances, the court will order a birth certificate to “read” a certain way.”
In the end, it’s all just about the DNA. That will tell us so much about this case.

then i suggest you google the local media for what they said instead of rubbishing my claim.

286/287 Reaction of the Catholic church to the 6-month Church Service
Interesting points and backs up my suggestion a couple of days ago that I bet the Pope would not be very impressed by the McConns deciding to use the ANGLICAN church for their “ecumenical” service!!
What is that saying? Be careful not to stand on people when moving up the ladder, you just might need them on the way down.

Ah….
The Daily Express a reliable source.
But nevertheless….
The paragraph regarding : Forged birth certificate”
“Local media has even claimed Gerry was not Madeleine’s real father and had used his position as a doctor to alter details on her birth certificate illegally. This is said to have caused the couple particular hurt because all three of their children were conceived by IVF”
Absolutely no mention of your claim that “The PJ” said that there.

Dr Watson … the reason I’m desperately trying to find that particular photo is that, at the time, a few things struck me when I saw it.
1. It wasn’t a photo that I’d seen before
2. I only saw it on ONE webpage that I was reading a newspaper article on.
3. Madeleine’s hair was considerably longer in the photo (very noticeable in fact)
4. She looked AT LEAST 6 months older than the Madeleine in the by-now famous photograph next to Amelie and daddy by the pool.
However, what I find very strange now, is that although I’ve spent numerous hours yesterday and today hunting for this particular photograph, it is NOWHERE to be found! I’ve even googled IMAGES and gone through thousands, but the photograph I’m looking for is just not there!

Next time you dream about Madeleine, ask her very loudy and directly where she is.
I am not kidding.
Any psychiatrist would advise you the same. Perhaps your subconscious has picked a little something up….

One might say that this is why nature, in its wisdom, requires a male and female to create a child. If one needs to stay home to tend to the children, the other can take off for Morocco.
Unless the parents don’t trust each other to do a good job at either thing.
Then, they stay home, locked in a cycle that must be increasingly stressful.
But if one or the other goes off on their own, starts speaking beyond Clarence’s control, well, they just might blurt out something.

being on trial for murder and having t bennet as your lawyer maybe?
November 4th, 2007 at 2:00 pm
another one for tony bennett.
i’m not going to go into why on here, but i suppose you’ve already noticed that the mc canns could drive a horse and cart through the case law that was posted yesterday.
however, i’m not going to hold the whip by telling them how.

Well if I had over £1,000,000 quid in a Find My Child
Kitty….I certainly wouldn’t be “trying” to lead a “normal”
life. I’d be out there looking.
Alternatately….If I “KNEW” my “missing” child wasn’t
there…..That would allow me stay at home.

Lilith and others,
Spaces between milk teeth - my children had something like that, but I agree that it is unusual. And the length of the hair - this could be why limited photos are shown. Is the photograph with dark T-shirt showing long hair?
I try to not guess too much about B.G. because DNA will soon show the answer. But the resemblance is indeed striking.
If it is her - imagine the legal implications: USA - can they want the case of hiding the body to be heard in their court?

I don’t know but I have a friend, Wikipedia and she can give you the answer you seek. First see my friend Google and he’ll bring you to Wiki.

Children’s hair sometimes does that, true.
But some mothers do bleach their children’s hair.
Funny, I didn’t ever see a bunch of bottle-bleached blonde kids when I went to Morocco a while back (and you know how inestimably valuable blonde children are over there!). But I’ve seen them in Europe and America. Usually, the mother is a bleacher, and wants her daughter to look like her. And I knew a family with fraternal twin boys–one was a complete towhead, the other a brunette, and the bleached the brunette’s hair so he would look more “twinny.”
JonBenet’s mother Patsy Ramsey bleached her daughter’s hair.
Had Diana bleached Harry’s hair, there might have been less controversy over his paternity.
November 4th, 2007 at 1:54 pm
Calling all parents on this forum - if your child was missing and there was a strong chance she was in Morocco, would you be at home right now? Or would you be in the Rif mountains calling your childs name? And as for the excuse that the McCanns don’t want to leave the twins - well it never bothered them before.

Anyone remember how long it took Jon Benet Ramsey’s Mum to die of Ovarian Cancer?

284. Dr. Watson, I don’t know if you read my reply to your having caught soothsayer’s mistake? I outed him last week as it was obvious he was using seveal nome de plumes. I think he/she just likes to sound important and as if they have insider information. This is why when someone who is legit in law enforcement contributes on the McCann blogs, like Pat Brown criminal profiler, certain people here, like soothsayer, become very angry. These online personalities are all ego without any substabce.
Soothsayer has been responding to him/her self from the moment I started posting here which was about 3 weeks ago. I also think soothsayer posted something today using one of his/her other user names. You can usually tell because the post is grammaticallay odd, all lower case letters, lacking in proper spacing between punctuation and of course very favourable of soothsayer’s soothings.

snorting crack would defeat the whole purpose of turning cocaine into crack in the first place.
it is more commonly smoked, hence the saying ‘crack pipe’.
hope the rest is as accurate.

151 Clare and 265 Dr. Watson,
The last article I saw here in the U.S. said that they think it’s unlikely that Baby Grace is Madeleine, but that possibility has not been completely ruled out. The physical description doesn’t really fit, as it appears that this child was younger, both from dental evidence and height. Also the hair is substantially longer and wavy. It also sounds as though the child died recently. No, we probably have a really sick tragedy of our own here.

Can’t help you with your specific queries re birth certificate etc., but must agree wholeheartedly with this comment of yours: “I think you will agree that there has been quite a blend of fact and fiction in this case for some time…”
It is a similar concept as ‘the twilight zone’ which some have also applied to this case.
I hadn’t been aware of the ginger hair of Maddie until someone else kindly posted this photo earlier. This tends to stir up significant queries re Maddie’s true parentage.
Nothing is clear in this case.
Fact mixed with fiction.
The truth concealed.
Hence it becomes a puzzle, as absorbing in its own way as others find absorption in, for example, doing a Sudoku, playing chess…or reading Agatha Christie…

Strange that the Vatican has scrubbed McCann
stuff from their website.
The Catholic Church don’t like being used.
And to take God’s name in vain…is a very
bad mistake by Dr’s K and Dr’s G McCann.
God don’t like it.

A couple of facts you won’t get from Team McCann:
1. The Catholic Church banned Team McCann from using the Church of the Sacred Bleeding Heart for yesterday’s publicity stunt. (Despite the fact that it’s quite big enough to handle the tens of people who turned up.)
2. The stunt was boycotted by the Catholic clergy (sorry - I meant “they forgot to turn up”).
