The New Fascism? An almost 1500 year old religion?
It is sad watching the left support Islamic fundamentalists out of their desperate need to have a large enough violent opposition to American capitalism - and that’s the reason opposition to militant Islam is muted, the allegiances are confused.
The American right still sees Islamists as preferable to Marxists even though we’ve invaded Iraq… The left can’t possibly approve of the opinions of Islamists at home but they agree with their hatred of the West…
When the lines are clearly drawn - if they ever are - then we’ll get the heroes and villains praised and damned in the press.
