Madeleine McCann: Tea With Sympathy, Bosnia And ‘A Sinister Higher Force’
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS page 7: “Little Bosnian girl they thought was Madeleine”
They? It was one man from Ireland, on a visit to a Catholic shrine in Bosnia, who saw Madeleine in a car crying for her daddy
A police spokesman says: “The car and occupants were just as described by the Irish pilgrim, except the little girl was not Madeleine McCann.”
But she was crying for her daddy. Not her mummy. Sure it’s not Madeleine?
Police go on: “The owner confirmed the car we lent to his son, who was with his daughter, who is very much like Madeleine”
Says Alan Dedic of his daughter Tea (blonde): “My daughter Tea was a bit out of control and I had to push her into the car… I wouldn’t dream I would create such a fuss”
“McCanns: New police snub” – The Portuguese public prosecutor will not let the McCanns see the files on them. Senior judges pay heed to the “special complexity” of this case. Robert Murat is not allowed to see his police files either
Says Clarence Mitchell: “All they have seen is so-called evidence that has been leaked to the Portuguese press and they don’t know what, if any, of that is true”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE – TRAGIC NEW THEORY”
Come, come. Don’t worry about how it is received. Tragic or magic, let’s have it…
A solicitor, London-based and reportedly working for one of the McCanns’ “holiday pals”, tells El Mundo newspaper, Spain: “I’m afraid these interventions have been prejudicial not only to my client, but also for determining the truth”
The Star says Gerry McCann is a “key Government medical advisor”. The Star’s theory is that “a sinister higher force” has stopped the truth from coming out
“Alert was sparked by ‘hyper’ lookaliake” – “It’s “hyerpactive lookalike” Tea Dedic
THE SUN page 7: “Balkans girl is not Maddie”
Says Mr Dedic of Tea: “She is hyperactive and I had to push her into the car” – Do social services know?
DAILY MIRROR page 9: “Despair at Maddy file secret”
Kate McCann is in “despair”. She cannot see the police files on her. “It has dashed their hopes,” says Clarence Mitchell. And the little girl on Bosnia? Not Madeleine…
DAILY MAIL page 49: “Yet another little girl who turned out not to be Maddie”
How many more? Can there be any more?
Slavko Dedic, Tea’s father – not be confused with the Express’ Alan Dedic – says his daughter was throwing a tantrum. And that his daughter cannot speak English
And for finding Tea we have the Daily Mail to thank. Says a police source: “After being given the car registration plate by the Daily Mail, Bosnian police went within the hour to an address in Ljubuski – and found the VW Golf”
But not Madeleine…
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 17: “Girl in Bosnia is no Madeleine”
“Strikingly similar,” says the caption beneath a shot of Tea Dedic, who is blonde and aged four
THE INDEPEDNT, THE GUARDIAN and THE TIMES: “No Madeleine news today

Is Gerry McCann being paid a fee for his appearance on CBS?
If so, how much?
If so, does the Find Madeleine Fund get a cut?
How can we find out?

94 Snake - I think thats spot on, watch them leave the UK and set up new lives in the US (or like that Maclaren racing driver who realsied how much tax he’d have to pay in the UK!).
Still, we have to put up with preaching from Bono and other arseholes like that failed politician going on about ‘global warming’.

REPLY: We have maybe Madelein’s DNA. Madeleine’s blood. Cadaverine. Sniffer dogs. Blood spatters on the floor, wall, curtains and steps. All basically forensic stuff.
Really no idea what ‘the other serious elements’ might be, apart that is from the parents’ own defensive, unbelievabe and incriminatory responses to the leaks of the forensic discoveries -which only placed them under deeper suspicion

91 Tony Bennet.
Its a pro-mcann advert - didnt you see the trailer posted yesterday? Sick making. Gerry once agains says that its ‘not being there at the time Maddie was taken’ they regret, not pissing off for the whole period, just that bit!
When they say ‘video shot after Maddie was abducted’ they dont mean, ‘that night’ - video shot today would be shot ‘after’. Once again they claim abdcution yet Clarence says ’so-called evidence’ about DNA!!! Im getting close to the point of extracting myself from any discussions about this case until the Portuguese and UK authorties remove the politics - probably never.

Does anyone know about extradition arrangements from the US to the UK/Portugal? I seem to remember it was easy for the US to extradite some Brit bankers a couple of years ago, but I don’t think it worked the other way. If a couple of people were to travel to the US to investigate a sighting, how easy would it be to extradite them?

Your talk of the US market being promising and media appearances is depressing. So now Madeleine is just a product? We’ve joked before about Madeleine dolls and Madeleine clothing range etc but it seems horribly likely. Yup, I think they’d ertainly like a slice of the American market. Stepping into the shoes of Heather Mills, Sarah Ferguson and other assorted scumbags. The talk shows beckon. Sickening.

Where did this new idea that Gerry is a government advisor come from?
So Tanner and O’brien pointed the finger at Murat?
Tanner changed her description significantly then, the cartoon man is nothing like Murat.
So if Murat was made suspect because of Tanner and O’Brian, yet they now could be alleged to have told porkies, the question must be, why would they do that? Error? Not likely is it!
So we go back to O’Brian shifting the body for Kate? Maybe Gerry is ‘innocent’ (of disposing of Maddie)? Maybe he really does think Kate is innocent and Maddie was abducted? Maybe Kate O’Brian and Tanner are the guilty ones?
This gets more like Cluedo everyday!

CBS will air exclusive footage tracking the McCann family following Maddie’s disappearance from their rented apartment.
The video was shot by a family friend, according to CBS website.
It will be broadcasted this Saturday, 17, in a special report that includes an interview with Gerry McCann.
The father of Madeleine told CBS that he and his wife “will always live with the fact that Kate and I were not in the apartment when it happened.”
***A source from Polícia Judiciária told that they have no information about the existence of a video shot after Madeleine disappeared***.

Are you sure that GM is an advisor to the government on the effects to human health of nuclear exposure ? I thought he was a cardiologist?
Someone said just before that some family connection of Gerry worked for EDF?
Would this not be eerhhnh, a slight conflict of interests? Or in other words, would the British Government follow the recommendations of medic whose family members seem to be closely associated with an energy company with interests in the nuclear sector?

I don’t think we’ll ever obtain a conclusive statement from the FSS or police saying that they have now concluded all the analysis. We’ll know that when the case is closed or charges are put forward.
I do remember sometime ago - the PJ spokesperson said that evidence to suggest Madeleine’s death was not exclusively dependent on DNA analysis in B’Ham. He mentioned at the time that DNA evidence could support that theory, but that there were other serious elements that confirm that Madeleine died in the apartment.
Any idea what these elements may be?

How the fuck did this insane woman get a job?
She thinks the mc canns “This couple had…clearly made a responsible assessment of the risks and decided that they were minimal. They could not have predicted the possibility of abduction.” —-
yet in comparrison she says also
Scenario 3:You have three children aged 10, 8 and 6. You go out for dinner, leaving them in bed at home. You tell the eldest to ring you on your mobile if there are any problems.
This would be a real matter for concern. If the parents were out for dinner, they might easily be gone for a few hours. Even if this was for lunch and not for dinner (so in the middle of the day) it would still be highly undesirable.
If they were very close by and checking on the children often, the situation would be different – but leaving three children of that age alone for several hours would still be extremely unadvisable, as the potential risks are simply too great unless you can come back and check on them often.
Even if the eldest child could be relied on to use the phone, if the parent could not get back within 15 minutes there is a possibility that he or she might be charged with abandonment.
If a neighbour was there in case of emergency it would certainly be better, but because of the length of time involved it would still be very ill-advised.
—————————————————–
obviously she is more concerned with the legal implications of parents not children!!
How can leaving children of 10, 8 and 6 be worse than 3 under 4?

REPLY: Or how about: “Well, no-one could have predicted the possiblility of the children waking up distressed, wondering where their Mummy and Daddy had got to, nobody could have predicted that they might fall down and hurt themselves or have some other kind of accident, nobody could have predicted that a fire might have broken out and engulfed them all in flames, nobody could have predicted that they might try to open the door and find out where their Mummy and Daddy had gone to…”

GM is a “key Government medical advisor” on the effects of nuclear power stations on humans. He is on the side of the argument that says there are no detrimental effects. Therefore, he’s probably got the backing of those on high because the government want to build many more power stations. Perhaps there aren’t many medical people who hold the same views, or perhaps he’s threatened to change his findings, if he isn’t supported over Madeleine! Judging by the misinformation he’s produced about his daughter’s disappearance, can anybody trust his views about nuclear power or anything???

Any ideas why are they releasing this video on CBS?
One suggestion is that they want to increase the number of sightings of Madeleine and have already identified a strong correlation between media appearances and automatic increase in reported sightings. This is only to be expected - the more Madeleine is on the news, the more people will think they’ve seen her.
The fact that they chose the US is because they have realised that the UK particualarly, and most other European media markets are saturated with Madeleine and the McCanns. Therefore, any further media appearances in these markets would not have such a high return (of sightings) and could at worst become counter-productive.
Like any product, the US market is very promissing (it has been so since the beginning). It’s got a large English speaking population, prone to emotional messages particularly on missing children, spread / travel across the world and always open to a fair bit of cheesy good show-biz tv.
Like with any product, before you enter a market you seek your prime media channels. That’s what happened with CBS.
Unfortunately for the McCanns Madeleine is only “a product” designed to protect them from criminal convictions.

A ‘PHONE CALL TO THE FORENSIC SCIENCE SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM
Today I ‘phoned the Forensic Science Service in Birmingham, Tel: 0121 329 5200.
When I got through, I asked to speak to their press office.
A friendly girl called Laura answered the ‘phone.
The conversation went as follows:
“Can you please tell me whether you’ve yet completed all the DNA and other foresnic investigations you’ve been asked to carry out in the Madeleine McCann case?”
“I’m sorry, we can’t discuss the progress of an ongoing investigation; the only people we would discuss that with is the police”.
“Are you still carrying out further investigations - or have you completed all you’ve been asked to research by the police? Have the results been sent off to the Portuguese police yet?”
“As I say, we can’t discuss these investigations at all, only with the police”.
“O.K., Thanks”.
Still bothers me that it is all taking so long to clarify all the forensics. I asked the question because of persistent reports, apparently emanating from the Portuguese police, that they have not yet had all the DNA and forensic results back yet.
If you go to the Forensic Science Service website, the first thing you see is this:
Introduction: The Forensic Science Service® is a trading name of Forensic Science Service Ltd., which is a UK Government owned company (GovCo).

acording to a paper today, kate is upset that she cannot see the evidence against her.come on everyone AHHHHHHH my heart bleeds for her!! she needs to get her act together& tell what happened(inocent people have nothing to hide) as for all the so called sightings, how much morecrap from people shouting we have seen her ,next place could be thailand!!!!.this child can never be seen again.if she was taken for an adoption, people would reconise her, if she was taken by for abuse, she can never be seen. the thought of the reward would see to that.that means an opportunist taking her she will be DEAD as they would risk letting her go. alledged accident in appartment body disposed off (maybe) either way not good for maddie

Slyfox 73 - the article says:
- One week before Murat was made arguido, the PJ got Tapas 9 + Murat on the same room.
- Jane Tanner and Russel O’Brien were the two that confirmed that Murat was seen carrying a child outside the apartment.
- This witness statement by Tanner and O’Brien led to Murat being made an Arguido
- Jane Tanner and Russel O’Brien are the two Tapas that contacted (through their lawyers) the prosecution services, wanting to change their witness statements
Murat’s lawyer says that he did not have access to the files that made his client arguido, and will possibly only have access to those file is May 2008.
Nothing very new really.

CHILD WATCH
‘Times’, 6 May
Quote
Child watch
British law does not set out the minimum age when parents can leave children alone, but it does stipulate that it is an offence if doing so might put them at risk, writes Jonathan Leake.
Experts are divided on just what this means in practice. The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children believes that babies and toddlers should never be left alone, whether asleep or awake, even for a few minutes.
Madeleine McCann, the three-year-old apparently snatched from her bed, was in an apartment in a Portuguese holiday complex while her parents dined and checked on her at least every half hour.
“It doesn’t take long for unsupervised young children or babies to injure themselves,” said Chris Cloke, head of child protection awareness at the charity. “Put simply, it is too risky to leave them alone at all at such a young age.”
Other experts take a more flexible view. “It’s the context that is important,” said Professor Carolyn Hamilton, who runs the Children’s Legal Centre, a charity concerned with law and policy. “This couple had…clearly made a responsible assessment of the risks and decided that they were minimal. They could not have predicted the possibility of abduction.”

Prosecuting the McCs for being neglectful parents seems so justified but when it was muted before, somebody said it would interfere or detract for any prosecution regarding the true reason for Madeleine’s disappearance. Have just read The Common Purpose organisation is behind the barrier to free flow of information…
How can the public prosecutor not let police ask the McCs the 100 questions without new evidence being found when there is clearly interference with the Birmingham DNA results being released?
