Madeleine McCann: Tea With Sympathy, Bosnia And ‘A Sinister Higher Force’
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS page 7: “Little Bosnian girl they thought was Madeleine”
They? It was one man from Ireland, on a visit to a Catholic shrine in Bosnia, who saw Madeleine in a car crying for her daddy
A police spokesman says: “The car and occupants were just as described by the Irish pilgrim, except the little girl was not Madeleine McCann.”
But she was crying for her daddy. Not her mummy. Sure it’s not Madeleine?
Police go on: “The owner confirmed the car we lent to his son, who was with his daughter, who is very much like Madeleine”
Says Alan Dedic of his daughter Tea (blonde): “My daughter Tea was a bit out of control and I had to push her into the car… I wouldn’t dream I would create such a fuss”
“McCanns: New police snub” – The Portuguese public prosecutor will not let the McCanns see the files on them. Senior judges pay heed to the “special complexity” of this case. Robert Murat is not allowed to see his police files either
Says Clarence Mitchell: “All they have seen is so-called evidence that has been leaked to the Portuguese press and they don’t know what, if any, of that is true”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE – TRAGIC NEW THEORY”
Come, come. Don’t worry about how it is received. Tragic or magic, let’s have it…
A solicitor, London-based and reportedly working for one of the McCanns’ “holiday pals”, tells El Mundo newspaper, Spain: “I’m afraid these interventions have been prejudicial not only to my client, but also for determining the truth”
The Star says Gerry McCann is a “key Government medical advisor”. The Star’s theory is that “a sinister higher force” has stopped the truth from coming out
“Alert was sparked by ‘hyper’ lookaliake” – “It’s “hyerpactive lookalike” Tea Dedic
THE SUN page 7: “Balkans girl is not Maddie”
Says Mr Dedic of Tea: “She is hyperactive and I had to push her into the car” – Do social services know?
DAILY MIRROR page 9: “Despair at Maddy file secret”
Kate McCann is in “despair”. She cannot see the police files on her. “It has dashed their hopes,” says Clarence Mitchell. And the little girl on Bosnia? Not Madeleine…
DAILY MAIL page 49: “Yet another little girl who turned out not to be Maddie”
How many more? Can there be any more?
Slavko Dedic, Tea’s father – not be confused with the Express’ Alan Dedic – says his daughter was throwing a tantrum. And that his daughter cannot speak English
And for finding Tea we have the Daily Mail to thank. Says a police source: “After being given the car registration plate by the Daily Mail, Bosnian police went within the hour to an address in Ljubuski – and found the VW Golf”
But not Madeleine…
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 17: “Girl in Bosnia is no Madeleine”
“Strikingly similar,” says the caption beneath a shot of Tea Dedic, who is blonde and aged four
THE INDEPEDNT, THE GUARDIAN and THE TIMES: “No Madeleine news today

CULTURAL DIFFERENCES ON CHILD CARE
Quote
[The Portuguese Ambassador] dismissed suggestions, hyped up by British newspapers, that the surviving adults could face criminal prosecution in Portugal.
“Some people always like to explore the negatives. I’m not informed about that, but I don’t think the Portuguese police will do something like that.”
And suddenly he added: “Regarding Madeleine McCann, even in this country I think that there could have been some judicial procedure against the parents because they left the children alone. According to British law, as far as I know, such an initiative could have been taken.”
His point is that the authorities are sensible enough to gauge when “for human reasons” prosecution would be inappropriate – and he did immediately add that the McCann parents were dining “so near by”.
There were, Mr Santana Carlos said, cultural differences that made the behaviour of the parents hard to justify to the Portuguese. It is far less common there for children to be left behind while parents go out.
“As Latins, we have the concept of the nuclear family – that the family lives all together. I think the children in this country are more independent than they are in Latin countries. That was a cultural problem. Normally, the kids are always surrounded by the parents, by the family. This is a different pattern.”
Did the Portuguese find it difficult to understand why the McCanns left the children alone? “For some people, yes. For those people, in particular, that live in the countryside who have that concept of the nuclear family.”

I was a a touch sarcastic and shouldn’t have been.
You can get your eyes off my Waterford ships decanter right this minute - don’t even think of it
I would suggest Italy, Ireland or Switzerland.
I likewise didn’t have a mobile phone until about 4 years ago when It became practical to replace a seldom used land line with a concomitant huge saving in line rental.
I admit to having an iPod, it has replaced my CD player and does wonders in the car, which it is not possible to do without.

So Louise, if karma works as you claim it does - could you please explain what Madeleine, Baby Grace and other abused and exploited children have done to have such bad karma?

@Tony Bennett:
Tony, I’m not a lawyer, but GM is on record as saying that he took legal advice over the question of neglect charges in the UK, and has been assured by ‘the UK authorities’ that there is no question of charges being brought.
If the CPS has ruled out charging the McCanns, is there any chance that a private prosecution would be allowed?
November 15th, 2007 at 1:20 pm
110. But the father is innocent until proven guilty right? I wonder why the authorities, press and its viewership are permitted to speculate who set the fire? This is disturbing and is libellous. Such speculation does nothing but ruin this man’s reputation.

America’s most wanted is going to London to look for new evidence in the Maddie Mccann dissapearance. The special episode of the fox will be broadcast from London on 17 November and will include a report from correspondant John Turchin in Pra da Luz.

I don’t have much hopes AMW will succeed in finding any new evidence of what you have reported is correct.
Unless I missed something, AMW likee Metodo 3, are headed for the wrong country.

What sort of sick friend is going to film you after your daughter’s disappearance? Unless of course you asked him to. In which case…
What sort of sick couple asks their friends to film them after their daughter’s disappearance?
Answer (all together now) : The McCanns!!!!!!
+++++++++++++++
The really sad thing is that this post made me laugh out loud!
Whichever way round you look at this, it’s pretty sick. You have two people who are suspects in their own daughters disappearance being allowed to broadcast something which is possibly seriously biased. Before anyone jumps on my case, yes, I know the McCann’s are not the filmmakers, their friends are. However, you can bet the broadcast has the McCann’s blessing.
I’ve always been ‘suspicious’ that for some reasons the McCann’s want to get to the USA? Larger market? More ‘career’ options?

How odd, you dont seem to have grasped the idea…I guess you preferto attack the messenger?
It doesnt take an expert to realise that children under certain ages could be at risk - not from abductors (as the Mccanns would have use believe ‘oh we didnt expect ABDUCTORS’) - but from hurting each other or themselves accidentally, they completely (and you comepletely) forget that its the fact that these kids of 2 and three (nearly 4) were at risk by beingleft alone.
So, in summary, why do we need experts?

I wasn’t referring to the extracts you quoted. I was just amazed that a ‘newspaper’ had actually mentioned that the McCanns were being protected - don’t care who said it, as long as it’s in print and rightly brought to the general public’s attention.
As in :
“And the reason is that politicians have stopped the truth coming out…. the police inquiry has been hampered by “political interventions’’……… Kate and Gerry both 39, have received “far beyond normal’’ help from the UK Government, including calls from PM Gordon Brown, since Maddie vanished from their Praia da Luz apartment on May 3. “

156 Stig,
Thanks for the apology but I’m not sure what it refers to? Are we divorced now? If so, take your damn dog and that hideous clock…please.
No worshipping Queen Mamon for us. Although I do collect fine china and crystal and vintage clothing. My husband is a collector too. Our house is old and cosie. We don’t have a car! That really angers a lot of Americans! LOL. It’s worse than being a paedophile. People run away in horror!
We are thinking about moving but we are not sure where yet. My husband is Asian and we’ve lived in Indonesia, Phillipines, Taiwan, Hong Kong and I think he just got tired of moving so much that we got stuck here.
We’ve definitely agreed we do not want our son to grow up here much longer.
Oh, I don’t have an Ipod and I lived without a mobile phone for 3 years. But we grew the most delicicous heirloom tomatos, basil, summer squash and Chinese aubergine. So that kind of illustrates where our heads are at.
Sadly, most of my affluent family disapproves of my bohemian lifestyle and only my brother is like me.
To be honest. Last time I was in England I felt Queen Mamon very intensely. It was imo worse than here but disguised better.

Gerry, Gerry, Gerry - you and your big mouth! It will get you in trouble one day.
————————————————————————
Not only Gerry’s big mouth; Clarence Mitchell’s willingness to say anything at all if he thinks it’s good for his clients may backfire on him one day. The Liverpool Daily Post had an unusually frank report on Clarence’s press release:
‘Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ family spokesman, said last night: “He was 99.9% sure this girl did not belong to this couple.
“She was in distress and he went over because he wasn’t happy with the way they were treating her. Then he heard the little girl say, ‘I want my daddy’.
“This chilled him to the bone – but he had the presence of mind to get down the number plate.
“He told the local police but there was a problem with translation and nothing really happened.
“So when he got home to Northern Ireland, he told the police there and rang our helpline.”
Mr Mitchell also confirmed that a Spanish private detective agency searching the world for Madeleine was currently focusing on the Middle East.’
So every single word can be traced back to Clarence, who instead of dispatching investigators to check on the alleged sighting, put out a press release.

Tony Bennet - your posts are always very informative.
I’m uncertain about the photo discussion: Would it be possible to tamper / manipulate the photo as was suggested without having the appropriate software and technical knowledge? Edit…
+++++++++++++++++
There is no evidence in the public domain to suggest that the ‘last photo’ is in anyway ‘faked/staged’. However, if I ‘claimed’ that the ‘last photo’ was taken on the 1st or 2nd of May, could you disprove my claims? I have no evidence to support that claim, I’ve just made it up.
Just because someone tells us what date and time they allege a picture was taken that is not in itself any real evidence that they are telling the truth. i.e. It is potentially easier to lie about the date a photograph was taken rather than fabricate the contents of a photograph.
That said, Stevo did demonstrate what is feasible in terms of fabrication to someone with the skills, time and appropriate software. That ‘last photo’ was released three weeks after Madeleine disappeared, so I guess that would be sufficient time for someone to fabricate it.
One hopes the PJ have corroborating evidence to support the validity of that ‘last photo’, we in the public domain don’t.

I read it, thanks to you. It has been allowed to happen for the reasons given in the document. People have been diverted for 30 or more years now with trash on the TV and by allowing themselves to be divided by propaganda and lies. This document, and what it says about Britain, is the reason I became interested in the McCann case because it is itself a demonstration of all that is rotten here perpetrated by gutless, greedy people in power. Look at the latest news - “Fortress Britain” - as I said, the prison doors are closing.’No2ID’ (campaigning against ID cards) are worth supporting. They have been pledged £10 by ll,000 people in order to hire lawyers to support those people who have pledged not to give their details (should they be arrested & charged). Some of the people are very high profile indeed. No2ID are now drawing in their pledges. I shall post the website address later, I’ve got a terrible headache now. We must fight!

BBC One is also running a sympathetic documentary, having spend our license fees on sending an entire crew with “experts” to PdL. This coming week., I spotted in Radio Times..ho him.
Well I think they will all get away with whatever their roles were and then G and K will implode get divorced, and maybe kill themselves out of conscience, eventually Unless G is intending to run for Deputy PM soon.????
I have sort of lost interest since nobody but us the public care about the child..it is all politics and PR and legal shenanigans now.
Doubt she will be found.
Doubt the PJ will ever get FSS co -operation .Doubt they will get witness or McCann cooperation.
Dead in the water..literally and metaphorically.
