Madeleine McCann: Michaela Walczuch At The Door, JonBenet Ramsey And Metodo 3 ‘A Pup’
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
SUNDAY MIRROR: “Did they want my girl?”
Karen Sixsmith is in conversation with the Mirror. It is an “EXCLUSIVE”. She is in an apartment at the Ocean Club, Praia da Luz. It is a month before Madeleine McCann went missing
A woman knocks at her door. She claims to be a Jehovah’s Witness. “German-born” Michaela Walczuch is a Jehovah’s Witness, or has been. The “mysterious woman” at the door is with a man.
Says Sixsmith: “It was a blonde woman, 35 to 40 years old, English-speaking. She had a pamphlet and I knew straight away that she was a Jehovah’s Witness. She asked if she could come into the apartment to talk about her faith. I took the pamphlet from her and closed the door. I now think it may have been Murat and his girlfriend”
Michaela Walczuch is 34
Karen has a daughter called Kate – “Kate is strikingly similar to Madeleine…Kate would have stood out a mile with her blonde hair and blue eyes - just like Madeleine”
Says the Mirror: “Her testimony - given to the Sunday Mirror so we could pass it on to the McCanns’ private investigators Metodo 3 in Barcelona”
NEWS OF THE WORLD: “Snatch bid last year at Maddie flat”
“A man tried to kidnap a child at the same apartment Madeleine McCann vanished from SIX MONTHS before she went missing,” says a British nanny who “caught the pervert trying to climb in through the ground floor window while a baby slept inside”
DAILY EXPRESS: “BABYSITTER SAW WINDOW MAN”
A source says “A babysitter has given detectives a statement in which she claims she caught a man trying to climb in through a window of apartment 5A – the apartment later occupied by the McCanns”
THE PEOPLE: “SICKENING SMEAR CAMPAIGN - FAMILY’S EMOTIONAL PLEA FOR MISSING DAUGHTER’S RETURN”
“Cops spent days investigating a theory the couple did it because they were desperate for cash”
It is a “sickening smear” making headlines in Portuguese paper 24 Horas
“NO QUIZ FOR MURAT LOVE” - Tuck Price, “a pal of German born Walczuch”, reveala: “I know for sure she’s been going to her Jehovah’s meetings and I know for sure the police haven’t contacted her. If this was true I’m sure the police would have been on to her”
“Find Maddie and give us a miracle for Christmas..” - “Maddie’s grandfather Brian Healy revealed how the family are convinced that she is alive and how they are now hoping for the ultimate Christmas miracle.” Says he: “We will all buy her a Christmas present and they will be under the tree waiting for her when she comes home”
GLASGOW SUNDAY MAIL: “Fury Over ‘Maddie Sold’ Slur”
An “outrageous slur”
A source says: “For several days the judicial police team investigated the possibility that the child had been sold by her own parents because of financial difficulties”
DAILY STAR: “MADDIE: 10 NEW SUSPECTS”
“Spanish investigators hunting for Madeleine McCann have narrowed their search to a hit list of ten paedophiles, we can reveal. Detectives working for the Metodo 3 agency are blitzing locations in Europe and Africa to find the known sex offenders”
Why this ten? Why ten?
Says Clarence Mitchell: “We have every confidence in Metodo 3. They can get to places faster and work quicker than anyone else and have the capacity to work worldwide”
BURNLEY EXPRESS: “Girls’ symbolic silence for Madeleine McCann”
Chelsea Gallagher and Gemma Lee, both 13, raised £450 for the Madeleine McCann Fund with a sponsored cuff-and-silence.
“For an entire school day, Chelsea and Gemma, 13, were handcuffed together and remained silent.” Says Chelsea: “The handcuffs symbolised the people who will be caught, and the silence because we haven’t heard anything about Madeleine”
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Madeleine McCann: is there no hope left?”
“Bristling with bravado before the television cameras last week, Francisco Marco, the portly boss of the Spanish-based detective agency Metodo 3, sneeringly dismissed the Portuguese police investigation into the disappearance of the couple’s daughter, Madeleine, as ”bumbling”, and boasted: ‘’We know who the kidnappers are and we are very, very close to catching them.’ Off camera, he admitted: ‘No, I can’t disclose any more yet. But I will be proved right.’”
Marco will get his man. A PI always does. Sign the contract. Pay the fee…
A source “close to” the McCanns says: ”The harsh fact is that they were pinning their remaining hopes on Marco’s outfit when they hired them on a six-month contract in September. But, in the past few weeks, they have conceded that they might have been sold a pup. There’s no doubt they’ve worked round the clock, but they don’t have a lot of experience with this type of investigation”
But there are for months left on the contract…
THE GUARDIAN: “Panorama walk-out over McCann film”
“Why did TV journalist David Mills, the producer of a Panorama film on the McCann affair, quit the project before it was transmitted last week? The Observer’s David Rose reveals the inside story of the latest row to hit the BBC’s flagship show”
Sensationalism? Tabloid journalism? Crime as entertainment?
Mills wrote a script. It was not used. “His original film would have compared Madeleine to the JonBenet Ramsey case in Colorado, about which Mills has made three previous documentaries. After the body of JonBenet, a child beauty pageant winner aged six, was found in her parents’ Boulder home, they were vilified by the police and media, despite their continued insistence that they had nothing to do with her death. They claimed she had been killed by an intruder…Years later DNA evidence proved beyond doubt that JonBenet had been killed by an intruder. John Ramsey told Panorama: ‘It’s a life-time damage. No question about it.’”

284 Carmen - I love being called ‘lad’!
Sadly I am a ‘mature’ and part time student (my wife would definately argue against the ‘mature’ and would support the ‘part time’)!
Studying law, but working full time. As to the distraction bit, thank goodness Im on a break until the New Year when I hope to goodness someone solves this bloody case.

Perhaps…..but I tend to the belief that M3 is becoming much too much
of an embarrassment for Team McCann. Nobody in their right mind
would choose an outfit like M3.

What about that strange gesture by Kate on Panorama when she uses her right hand in a kind of “whoosh” movement when describing Madeleine being taken? Kate is not right. An American teenager saw the Panorama show on the Internet yesterday and his first words were “why isn’t she crying or upset?”

Stevo
Hi there Stevo. You know that you’re rocking the boat with your site, and I for one will row with you to keep that boat afloat for as long as it takes to get to the truth. There’s a little girl who needs justice for the memory of her name! And if it takes total strangers to get it for her, then so be it. Carry on …. I’m always behind you!
(Hi there Carmen)

278 Matt. I did wonder about that, but this too seems to fit the pattern. My reasoning is as follows: If Clarence distances his team from Motodo 3, then it leaves them looking clean when Motodo start creating sightings of Maddie with the Murat Trio (already begun). They can blame Motodo for ‘bad work’ and outrageous headlines whilst rejoicing in the headlines and the distraction. It’s a classic tactic - pay someone else to do the dirty work for you, and provide a series of ‘tsk tsks’ from the sidelines.

Well…thay had 6 months of Contractural Wheels from Team McCann…
…but it would seem that that even is going to be severely curtailed.

Interesting - clearly the Healys have had very little to do with their grandchild and are reflecting their own likes onto her.
She also had pink as a favourite colour and had a barbie last christmas. Not stereotyping or anything are they.
When my kiddies were 4, I dont recall them having such sophistication (Harry Potter and Doctor Who level). But the two year olds also have excellent sentence structuring and vocabulary. Must be all the time they spend in nurseries and anywhere away from their ‘lovely parents’.

I’ve just plugged in again today.
Photo ID is governed by proper rules.
Minimum of 12 photos must be used, on each sheet.
photos must be the same size
They must show people of broadly similar appearance, (race, approximate age, facial hair, no outstanding characteristics, unless of course the suspect has them)
and so on.
Just showing one photo is utterly useless, and amounts to gross negligence, for which a British Police officer would be severely censured and very probably disciplined. What came out of such a showing would not even be classed as evidence. It could never even be submitted to the Crown Prosecution service, CPS, (another of our favourite TLAs) except to alert them to a fact of which the defence should be made aware.
And a statement under oath ?
Accused persons’ “voluntary” statements are made under caution
Witness statements are simply made. The witness signs a formula at the top stating that they have been aware of the rules relating to perjury, but “under oath”?
The mind simply boggles. Who is actually alleged to have done this ? Surely not Metodo3 ?
Even if it is simply sloppy journalism someone ought to get grip.
Or as someone once said, “What looks at first sight like sloppy use of language may in fact be very precise use of language to describe sloppy thinking.”
(Sorry I don’t know the reference.)

I don’t think they ever had “wheels”. I thought they were traveling by alien spaceship. Even their name “Metodo” sounds like something off Star Wars.

Thanks for emailing the other day. I’d like to have been able to reply but you didn’t leave an address.
I think the PJ are close to rounding this circus up. I don’t disagree with your analysis of what M3 are doing but I genuinely think this is closer to some convictions than we think.

“You absolutely hate and bemoan the state of the UK . . .the McCanns have come to engender and symbolise all that you dislike about the UK today.”
Aha! I wondered how long it would take before a McCann supporter played the “patriotism” card. Who was it who said that patriotism is the last refuge of the desperate?”

Thank you Sad Git. And who was it that said “The broad mass of a nation will more easily fall victim to a big lie than a small one”? Why, none other than Herr Hitler himself.

The only single flaw in your esteemed proposal…is that the Wheels
seem to be falling off the M3 Wagon…pretty rapidly.

I’ve had some weird emails to my site. One came from Glasgow yesterday and after some research, I found a McCann and a link to Strathclyde University. The person in question was almost furious with some aspects of my site. It is not beyond the bounds of belief to think that the McCanns or their family and friends do look at this and other sites.
I’ve sent emails to the McCanns from email addresses at my domain and had no reply. If I was some cuckoo people finding agency able to spend a few hundred grand of that fund money, perhaps I’d get a response.
November 25th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
PREDICTION. Anticipate significant news releases all about Murat / his g/f and her new bloke to emerge regularly over the next month or so. This is the primary goal of Motodo 3 - to seek out newsworthy stories and ‘irrelevent but murky background info’ about these 3.
Clearly, looking for Maddie is a waste of money, but spending the fund money to generate a long campaign of smears is very well spent. It has the double benefit of a) keeping the focus on someone else, and b) fueling the myth of the abduction theory. And they can claim all along that they are looking for her. Genius!
Remember where you heard it first readers!

Maria. Yes, I get it. Perfect description. Stig, maybe you arent as daft as you seem.
‘…..they have come to engender and symbolise all that you dislike about the UK today.’
You are shooting accurately today Stig, money and politics do indeed engender our society and the MCanns do indeed contrast the ugliness of both against justice and the rights of those who only have their parents to protect them.
Although you come to conclusions which are diametrically opposed to my own, you isolate the basic character of the issues adeptly and accurately. I see why Stevo wanted you to post on his site - it would have been intellectually very stimulating and informative to dismantle and reconstruct your arguments.

The Catholics committed the first real documented act of genocide in Europe…perhaps the world in 1209AD in the town of Beziers. I visit there regularly and if you want to check out their instruments of torture in the name of Catholicism, visit the torture museums in the Languedoc.
They have certainly been a law upon themselves for centuries and a haven for some of the worst people in society.

That was me…. I’m still planning it, but keep thinking of health and safely obstacles. It’s okay though, I’ve got it all worked out…..
I’m going to board up the stairs, that should prevent falls……

Hands up who thinks that any of the altruistic benefactors shelling out for GM / KMs enormously expensive legal team, will be just as keen to help protect Murat and his g/f? Anyone, anyone…? And if not, why not? Surely the protection of the innocent until proved guilty includes them? Or does the ‘dodgy eye’ count him out and make him fair game?”

I think the short answer to this last question is “Yes”, and add two other factors (1) living with his mother, and (2) being without his daughter as a shield.

Anniversary ideas. I liked the one from a poster the other day. A ‘leave your kid at home while you go out on the piss’ day. Most appropriate. Perhaps Private Eye might like to sponsor it?

So, Maddie’s favourites are Dr Who and Harry Potter are they? Well, according to Brian Healy they are.
This child was 3 years old when last seen! As well as having a mature way of speaking, she also watched programmes/films that would reduce my 6 yr old to a frightened blob. Why do all her family need to project such a grown up image of her. Is it to reassure themselves that the was quite capable of babysitting her toddler siblings?

I have Gerry’s Forensic book on order and it will be here in a couple of days. No doubt there may be some clues in there. Amazon are selling it for 1 cent plus $3.99 P&P.

Of course I accept that a catholic priest may not reveal the secrets of the confessional but you do not have any real evidence that the McCanns confessed to him that they had murdered Madeleine or accidentally killed her and were covering up the action. You have implied previously that they went to him to confess and/or for the last rites or a funeral or, as you put it, “whatever the mumbo-jumbo” is.
It is not personal abuse to say that you are anti-catholic, Tony, because you have said so in other writings of yours and speak slightingly of catholic practices, as in the case just quoted. And it IS sticking to the facts if I think that a personal set of beliefs is influencing you.
You can have no possible evidence that that priest heard a sinister confession, kept it secret from the police but told the Vatican and then continued to pray for and with the McCanns for months on end, even giving them the key to the church in which to pray. I have to wonder if he would be likely to have kept up the charade of praying for her safe return, praying with her family etc. if he had heard a confession of infanticide or similar? Why would he? Why then was he (reportedly) so shocked when they were made arguidos?
You do not know what my personal beliefs, or lack of beliefs, may be and I can assure you that I care nothing for what any bishop or clergyman, of any church, may say, in that capacity!!! The bishop was probably wrong. Bishops often are. I am, however, interested in what the priest’s anglican colleague (Hubbard?) said, just as a man who knew them, which was that he “commended” the catholic priest for having given them the key to the church where they might pray in peace and privacy.
Of course I haven’t answered every single thing in your earlier post. But you haven’t answered my question either!
Do you think that you can be so sure that your assessment of the McCanns whom you have never met (I think?) is likely to be more accurate than that of the anglican priest who spent so much time with them, talking, praying etc. since Madeleine disappeared? Please answer that one. He is not a catholic and he has a wife who also got to know them well.
I apologise again for anything out of turn. I thought you were actually proud to be anti-catholic! I withdraw unreservedly the comment about being being homophobic if it is not true; unreservedly.
I actually support a number of the causes you espouse (though not all), and admire your courage in speaking out. In this particular case, I’m sorry, but I do believe I have seen signs of anti-catholicism swaying you and I believe you have been ready to give credence on this forum (even by just giving them air time, as it were) to theories for which there is absolutely no foundation beyond rumour eg. that the McCanns are swingers, or that they “went out on the town” leaving their kids. I don’t believe it is right to do that, whether or not it turns out the McCanns are guilty of something very sinister.
Other people’s reputations are in our hands and should be treated carefully. If I departed from that principle in your case in my earlier post, I apologise completely.

Maria,
Speaking as an ex RC I do recall too that the Confessional was also anonymous, and its only the pentitent can reveal whether they have confessed or not. Everyone else: projected confessions are not confession, Fr Pachero may not be burdened by anything.
