She asked if she could come into the apartment to talk about her faith. I took the pamphlet from her and closed the door. I now think it may have been Murat and his girlfriend”

Well, you may be eloquent, and TB somewhat ‘biased’ (although good reading), but perhaps you should’ve said “this man, NOT a ROMAN catholic” and do some insidious reading-up on the Anglican church - or moreso ‘Anglican communion’.
Think about why such two priests could ’share’ a church?

Have written to my MP requesting that he raise in the House that Robert Murat, far from being hounded, should be protected, as were/are the McCanns, in accordance with a statement in my letter from 10 Downing St that “consular officials will continue to follow Madeleine’s case closely and provide on-going assistance to her family. as we would for any British national in these circumstances.”
I have also written to the Express, enclosing copies of letters I have written to my MP, his reply and that fom Downing St.
Robert Murat appears to have been hounded with far less incriminating evidence against him than there is against the McCanns.

Who Might Be Innocent?
OK.. Don’t laugh (too much) at the back!
I was wondering about a remark I “thought” I had heard Gerry say, can’t recollect where though. Can anyone help? He said something like:
“I believe in Kate’s innocence, and she believes in mine.” Or possibly, “I know Kate is innocent, and Kate knows I’m innocent”.
Anyway, if I’ve recollected it correctly it’s been wandering around in my head as a consequence of a discussion we were having yesterday/this morning re the possibility that Kate and Gerry were innocent, initially, and that maybe members of the Tapas 9 are in fact the guilty parties in Madeleine’s disappearance. In order for it to work the rest of the group had to be up to their necks in activities they wouldn’t want made public.
Anyway, point of this post… Is it feasible that on May 3rd only one of Kate or Gerry actually knew what had actually happened?
I ask because the sentence structure above, talking of each others innocence separately, seems ‘odd’. Almost as if there is some ‘point’ that needs to be made?

You mention the ‘dignity and fairness’ with which the McCanns treat Robert Murat, and I have to agree with you on that point.
However, as these qualities have been notably absent in their behaviour in every other respect, I’m afraid their benign attitude towards Murat makes me think that there must be something to hide.
I don’t know what. Maybe something relatively unimportant or coincidental.
