George Bush Should Try Reality
Bernard Weiner writes on George Bush:
“But Bush’s show-event is in line with how he governs: not aligned with reality. His actions mostly involve denial and fantasy, both of which require stage-settings and lots of spin. He did it with the deceptive use of the term “compassionate conservative” in his initial campaign for president.
“He did it in 2003 on an aircraft carrier under a banner “Mission Accomplished,” declaring that the U.S. had “prevailed” in Iraq. He did it with the plastic turkey he carried around for the cameras at a Thanksgiving dinner for the troops in Iraq. He did it standing in front of a stage-set in New Orleans, when he promised post-Katrina help that never came, or came too-little-too-late to do most locals much good. Etc., etc.”

Pitty thinks GWB is out to lunch most of the time, if not all of it. Katrina - he went in front of the Media and looked so smug saying FEMA had it all in control…..he doesn’t watch networks news or CNN, he only listens to his advisor’s…..so he’s shooting blind….
And the worst part of Katrina still lives on with the thousands of thousands of pets caked with mud and sores, to this day, even to this day, starving and in misery and a handful of dedicated angels try to rescue them ……
It is worse than tragic it is shameful on the entire U.S.ofA. and why Pitty still gives money to help these sad and forgotten animals.

…But don’t you remember one of the Boy Emperor’s henchmen who could string a few dictionary-based words together, once deriding old-fashioned ‘reality-based’ critics as ‘out of touch’? ‘We don’t try to adjust to other people’s reality, we create a new reality’.
Bit like Marx’s ‘Philosophers so far have only tried to understand the world. The point is, to change it’.
And even more like Hitler’s chief official ideologist, Alfred Rosenberg, saying that there are only myths, and only weak people believe in the myth of objective truth (a postmodernist before his time).
In all seriousness, America and the World under Bush is the nearest thing to the Fourth Reich since 1945. And maybe the Marxists were wrong about Hitler being a front for world Capitalism… but Bush and the neocons have certainly been a front for Cheney and his pals.
