The mayor of Paria da Luz is called Manuel Domingues Borba. We had not heard his name mentioned in the British press, until now. Can he inject some newsworthiness into the story?
Says Senor Borba: “I would never leave my children sleeping alone and go to dinner in a foreign country – especially as there are babysitters for that very purpose…I consider the parents guilty of negligence at the very least. There was a total abuse of trust and extreme negligence”
Mr Borba is 71. The ages of his children are not given.
Says he: “I think the majority of locals, Portuguese and British too, all believe that the parents created this situation”

Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ media voice, says: “We’re not going to dignify this sort of nonsense with much comment”. But he will comment. “This man is not a police officer and has no access to any details of the case”
Indeed. The media have no access either to the police files, nor the people who listen to Clarence Mitchell’s daily comments. But you can still form an impression
And we hear from Jenny Murat, Robert Murat’s mother. “We did nothing wrong and we have been penalised for their mistake. It is really upsetting. I cannot tell you what has been going on here. It has just been horrendous,” says she.
She goes on: “Metodo [the McCanns private detectives] were getting people to change their statements, following everybody everywhere. They were certainly following me. If they [Metodo 3] have anybody who saw Robert, they are paying them to lie. They were following me everywhere. Why? I don’t know. It’s pretty scary, I can tell you.”
Says Clarence Mitchell: “It is a ridiculous suggestion to claim M3 are paying witnesses to change their story. That is entirely untrue and M3 are acting completely within the law in what they are doing… We are not going to get into a row and she is entitled to her own opinion, but Kate and Gerry felt they had done everything possible for their children on May 3 and that they were perfectly safe”

here in the UK we have a very bland approach to all religions, bland as totally indifferent as churchgoers -just hatching , matching and despatching. The C of E is losing bums on seats hand over fist mainly due to untheological reasons, the RC lot shot themselves in the foot with the paedo priests ( I am very ex RC, convent educated and brainwashed til I left the church) There are numerous other Christian chapels who practice in their way too, and people abandoning those in droves, Welsh chapel goers in particular .
It used to be in days gone by that one bathed 3 times in ones life, these days its attending Church
But do write a piece or even an intro and put it in the forums for debate, (we’ll even try to stay on topic)! All manner of atheists ,agnostics, Pagans and maybe the odd practising Christian

As to Hideki’s claims, I am speechless. I have posted here for around 3 months and have never once supported the McCanns. I have written to my MP, the PM, Foreign Office etc. What an elaborate cover up I am pursuing! I can’t remember Judith, Chenier and the others accused ever supporting the McCann’s either. And Peter O is our leader? Well, someone forgot to tell me! So this is official, then? Anyone who dares to question a particular poster is pro McCann? That is very convenient, is it not?

Thank you so much for your words. At least someone believes me. Doc Watson (I wonder…) says that normal, decent people have no reason to hide and would be proud to use their real name. I did exactly that (but has he?) when I emailed someone’e website to offer support. You are ‘on the other side’ to me but I respect your views far more than his. I also note that anyone who questions his rule over this site, is ridiculed with childish accusatiuons such as ‘drunk, neurotic, cry baby, idiot, crank’, the list goes on. I am no troll. Methodo3 acts strange, the parents and friends act strange, the media ARE strange [remember the fuss when lady Diana got killed in Paris, and the accusations by the tabloids?], the ‘leaks’ from the [former?] PJ….. It all doesn’t make sense. But hey, who says people should act as I’d liked them to? People react different on things.

I’ve disagree with Stevo several times. The only consequence was that Stevo explained his point of view.
Even now I disagree about the short-hair long-hair photos (two versions of the same shot). I think the examination of the pair PROVES that the long-hair has been photoshopped into the photo.
I’ve read the posts above and I do think it is an error of judgement to even mention the existence of any information about posters obtained elsewhere — because that mention is then used maliciously by the pro-McSum crowd to claim that threats have been made even when clearly they have not. Previously, another poster (not Kris) was going looney over Stevo mentioning an email from an (unidentified) poster. IMO Stevo falls into a troll trap by doing this.
Kris, Patch, Chenier, Judith and others are camouflaged Team McCann trolls IMO. (In my judgement, their posts seem to be the posts of Team McCann people — naturally I have no idea if they really are).
Their intent is to limit the effectiveness of this forum in analyzing the McCann case, and in making people aware of the McCanns’ guilt.
Another troll trap is to pretend agreement for a short time, and then offer to establish email correspondence. In this way the pro-McScams can gather information about the people who want to see the McCanns thrown in jail.
I think it was realized that negative comments about the McCanns were overwhelming on the Internet, and strategies were formed to dampen this criticism. It’s interesting to watch this strategy in action.
It’s a little surprising that there are SO MANY trolls in here, so I’d guess that a list showing which names are coming from the same computer would show that in reality there are just a few very clever ones.
