Guns, what a nasty affair, well actually it is people with guns that break laws that is nasty….
Or the teenager at my front door, yes he is on video tape, with what looks like a 45 colt jammed down the back of his baggy pants covered by his over sized shirt, exposed when he bent down to pick up his B&E tools - perish the thought if I would have been home. The alarm didn’t deter him, it was the sign on my wrought iron gate that said “Dog Crossing” that made him pause with a picture of three big dogs.
Oh, these hoods do like to carry guns. A man turning into my street at the corner, had his window shot out in his SUV, right at the corner of my house, for no good reason - but it was fun to do I suppose, a wonder the driver wasn’t killed. So one never knows what will happen at a stop light.
They also were car jacking cars by two fellows on each side of the car, pointing guns at the driver, and demanding the keys. The solution according to our fine police, well leave plenty of room in front of you when you stop at a light to make a quick get-away.
As to the video of the gun toting wannbe burglar, the police didn’t want the tape, even though the perp could be seen clearly, they just said, what’s your beef, he didn’t get in so go away will ya!
After an attempted kidnapping, the police told me to always, and I mean always, travel with two big dogs and never be outside without two, (not one) but two big ones at all times. Nice way to live uh? Welcome to the U.S.of A.
