Because no one has been charged with any crime?
Or: “NOBODY will EVER stand trial over missing Madeleine McCann because cops made so many vital blunders,” says the Sun. And so too says Jose Anes, 62: “Mistakes in the early hours demolished the entire case”
The ex-director of Lisbon’s police lab is “Portugal’s top forensic expert”, a billing the lab’s current director may dispute
Mr Anes says: “If the scene is not preserved in the first hours, all the hours of effort that follow are useless. I am utterly convinced — unless some new, concrete evidence suddenly emerges — the case will never reach trial”
But what of the evidence gathered so far, like the DNA samples found in the McCanns’ hire car?
“Maddie sniffer dog ‘was rigged’” - Gerry McCann is “FURIOUS” – as often he is. He “believes sniffer dogs used to find Maddie clues in the family’s hire car were MANIPULATED by cops”
Says a “source close to the couple”: “Gerry says a dog went up to the Scenic, sniffed around and went to head off. He watched the dog being brought back to the vehicle. Finally, it reacts around the boot area. Gerry was open-mouthed at that, he feels the dog was manoeuvred into a position where it could react”
And smell
“Murat pals ’saw him near flat’” – “SUSPECT Robert Murat was PALS with British holiday nannies who say they saw him the night Maddie vanished, it has emerged”
Good friends? “And at least two of the girls knew him well enough to be on first name terms”
That’s close, eh
“A source confirmed yesterday that he did befriend several girls, adding: ‘A lot are attractive and he made a beeline for them. When they were asked who was near the apartment that night, several mentioned Murat”
DAILY MAIL: “Madeleine: Forensics expert says inquiry is ‘complete waste’ because of police blunders at apartment”
Says Jose Manuel Anes: “Huge amounts of money were spent but if, in the first hours, the due precautions for the preservation of the crime scene were not taken, all this hard work goes down the drain. We can spend rivers of money which will all go down the drain if the crime scene is not properly isolated”
The McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell says: “It is alarming to hear that Mr Anes has this view. All we want, and have done throughout, is to ensure the operational police side of this has been done in an effective and efficient manner as possible”
And why is Mr Anes – “the 62-year-old” - speaking out now? Because he’s making his comments known in a book called The McCanns’ Guilt – not that the case will ever, come to trial, you understand

He tells the Mirror, and everyone else: “I fear the case will never reach trial” - and even if it did, no jury would be able to convict anyone.

454 Stevo, sorry to be pedantic but Tanner said 9:15 - so that had to be the end of the ‘window of opportunity’.
If you recall there was talk of someone breaking ranks and then just after, the Panorama with Tanner providing the 9:15 time - I believe that the McCanns team realised the danger of this cut off - hence the Clarence ‘rattle’.
For some reason Tanner scotched them with that cut off. SOmeone posted earlier that the carrying of ‘Jes’s’ kiddie in the blanket was a ploy. I think that too, its going to be aliferaft for Tanner and for the McCanns as it will destroy the 5 minute window of opportunity and extend it to allow a much safer abduction period.
However, I agree that whatever did happen to Madeleine very likely happened before ’showtime’ 3rd May.

TB - sometimes it is right for little men to bleat: - take for example those in the ANC backing Jacob Zuma and his brave campaign to liberate South African from its current regime.
But there is liberation struggles and the fight from freedom from injustice on the one hand, and plain envy of a successful doctor and his attractive wife (also a doctor in her own right) on the other hand.

Sorry….I was out for a while and reading the last 100 posts. I missed that.
Ok, if you want to verify whether something was pasted in, the easiest way to go about proving it is to recreate the scene. So, the pool photo would be easy - put actors in the places and see what comes out. I know the sun’s position will differ but if you know the azimuth and elevation on May 3, you can replicate the azimuth perfectly and the only difference will be the sun’s altitude (if you did this on another date).
But I think this is simpler than we think. Think of it another way. The McCanns had a digital camera by their own admission. Therefore, you’d expect there to be dozens of contemporary images. If they have none, that’s a red flag. If they have some, that will be a simple test - do you have photos of all 3 kids together or not? If not why? Like I keep saying, pictures really do tell a thousand words.

Ann, as I’ve mentioned before on this forum to you and to others who care to read it, the people who know the least about a subject, especially one as subtle as the paranormal, always have the most to say. Their minds are closed and whatever you say, or even prove to them, they will deny, largely, I think, because they are frightened of the inevitable and try to keep it at bay by being patronising and faintly abusive You are right to dismiss them. One day they will find out the truth but by then they will probably over there and having to come to terms with their narrow minds.
As for the ’still water’ that Madeleine may be found in. I too predicted this back in September and specifically mentioned a dam. I wrote to the PJ with quite a lot of other information as well, but sadly had no reply, but then I didn’t expect one as they must have received thousands of letters from people trying to help their investigation.

They wanted us to believe in a timeline/window of opportunity from 9:10pm-ish to 10pm. Jes Wilkins put that up the swanny river with his untimely interception of the other “ges” - Gerry.
Even thinking of a 40-50 minute window of opportunity, that’s still way too small for people to swallow an accidental death/cover up scenario.
So, answering your question leads to the obvious fact that Madeleine disappeared a long time before that and May 3 has got nothing to do with anything other than it was the “official” day she went missing.

I dont know about Tony, but I’m now as convinced as I can be without a better version of the playground photo (drawn a blank!). I wondered why the McCann lawyers were said to be discussing the possibility of digital photographs not being good evidence as they could be modified. It made no sense - I thought that it was the McCanns who had something to gain from that fact of digital photographic manipulation not being made too explicit. But the penny dropped a post or two ago (you didnt respond). What if the PJ have suggested the photos were modified and had the Maddie removed from them both? The McCann argument would be that THEY (the PJ) were the ones altering photographs and trying to get them rejected as admissable evidence? Did you send your photograph without Maddie to anyone?
Is there any way to date different pixels in a digital photgraph - I dont really know why I asked that, I know there isnt - but then I’m no expert and its always worth asking!

may be there is a hint in the discription of the ‘abductor’.
When I first saw a filled in face not sure where, my first thought was of Frankensteine’s monster. He killed a small child- carried her off and buried her- if I remember corretly. I think he suffocated her.
I do not want to believe the parents did kill her. But I do suspect that on the 3rd of May, Madeleine died between 9-10pm, accidently vomiting and too sedated to move thus choked. She was removed by one of the friends. Kate was told something had happened to Madeleine just before ten. She ran back to the appartment but found they had taken her- thus her first reaction of hysterics and calling they have taken her.
The other theories after much speculation I do not believe as the parents may be cold etc. but imo a premeditated murder just makes this site a complete mockery and laughing stock and therefore unbelievable by an average thinking person. Maybe that is the plan of those that spout outlandish views!
In view of this I think the theories of some are put forward simply to do that- make it all so rediculous that you may as well just believe in an abductor- which also imo is not totally impossible either.
But I forgot it is a satire site and your all just taking the piss……..

By not answering the PJ’s questions even though they are 100% innocent and desperate to do all in their power to get their daughter back.
By not protecting the crime scene themselves - from all their friends. By not insisting no one touch CuddleCat until she had been forensically examined (because THEY knew the abductor had moved it).
By not accepting any responsibility whatsoever.
You are right this forum is about us. But I disagree. It is also about Madeleine. I feel completely impotent. I do not live in the UK. I cannot badget my MP about why there was been such cossetting of suspects. I hate the fact that people closest to Madeleine have turned her disappearance into a profitable crusade. I will continue to hope that she will receive justice.
The only way I can do that is by talking to other people on this forum who are not blinded by the sanctimonious cant of the McConns.

What happened :
OPTION 1 : accidental death early on in the holiday - resulting from possible sedation, use of illicit substances and fear of charges for neglect. LAter disposed of the body with the help of some friends.
OPTION 2: or handed over to someone known of the McCanns to be kept for a few months whilst the McCanns led the investigation into the abduction possibility and gathered a few millions. Went wrong when people started questionning the abduction and are now beyond the point of return without being charged.

Both hypotheses are possible, and Mrs. M’s scream of “They’ve taken her!” and her remark “It wasn’t supposed to be like this” (reported very early on but since denied) bear out the latter . But if so, how does this reconcile with the Portuguese police’s insistence that Madeleine died in the flat? Or do people think that this assertion is simply part of their long game to flush out the truth?

I read somewhere that the kids in the club didn’t speak much because there were foreign kids who didn’t speak English. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility that the McCann twins didn’t speak much either. And in any case, some proponents of the theory that Madeleine wasn’t there are suggesting a substitute. We know from the playground photo that Gerry is playing with Madeleine, Sean and another girl. Even the papers have wrongly said it was Amelie when it isn’t.

* In Novemer, a SKY NEWS polll terminated after over 27,000 had voted and 63% said they thought public opinion was turning against the McCanns.

walked back again to the club to fetch our sleeping daughter. Jes carried her home in a blanket. The next night we stayed in. It was Thursday, May 3.
