So where is Christian? Well, he left Praia da Luz a few years ago. His mother says she has not seen him for two years. Says the girl’s mother: “I went in to see them just before Madeleine disappeared and they confirmed they’re still looking for him. ‘No one knows where he is, but he could have been back to this area”

In the Spanish article in Pepe’s link, the writer states categorically that the McCanns requested the status of “arguido”. Am I getting confused or is this untrue? I have always understood that they were made arguidos by the PJ (or, if they did, in fact, request it, that no news in this respect has ever transpired).

Bearing in mind that they then exited via the window etc etc. He then may have recalled (again bearing in mind that the events of tht night were more about finding Madeleien) that the twins appeared to sleep through all the mayhem of that night, thus he made his claim that they could have beeen sedated.
