So where is Christian? Well, he left Praia da Luz a few years ago. His mother says she has not seen him for two years. Stevo, that Joan is a nasty character imo. She never exchanged views with Maria, however she spits dirt at her. I don’t like that. Maria always stayed nice and not abusive, as far as I recall. People like Joan who don’t contribute to a debate, but abuse, is what makes this forum sometimes unbearable.
And you must be fair and admit that Maria rejects news in the papers from unnamed sources, or unnamed friends or sources close to. This is a named and quoted source. So no problem with that, seems to me.

I know that this site isn’t mainly political and if we all wanted to discuss the Bhutto assassination we could go somewhere else, but if you just click Anorak News (as we all know, there are always so many other topics by this time of night) and I always bother to see what else has been put up by Anorak for discussion. I am just amazed that as usual the main keyboard work is on this thread, interesting as it is every day, but still only Anorak, June, Gloria and veritable have parked their vox-pox-box briefly in the 10-min parking zone of Pakistan. Shame.

Snooping around.
If someone was stalking the apartment, which is a story I still don’t believe, they would have heard M crying for a long time when left alone. If they watched her during the day, they would have seen she was hyperactive and a little fractious in the evenings.
That would not be a child you’d be likely to abduct. You’d be worried about the parents coming along to check on her. You’d take one of the babies–or even both of them—because you wouldn’t have muc time.
Added to that, the Pros have to go with a drug or death scenario, because M did not struggle to get away from her abductor on the street. He had to get out of the sliding glass door, or have a key, because there is no moss disturbed under the bedroom window.
And about drugs being related to this story. I’ve noticed the media, at least here in the US, does not like to connect drugs to a story. It’s as if they feel the related family members already have to deal with the shame of the crime. Why rub their noses even deeper and shame them with truth about addictions and such.

Found it. Google the words “mccann planning application rothley”
In the results you’ll find a link to the Mirror Forum with this text “Kate and Gerry McCann, pictured outside their house in Rothley. … 4-year-old Madeleine McCann said Saturday it was planning a 80000 pound (US$160000, …”
If you click the link you’ll find that the Mirror deleted that forum. But…click “cached pages” and you can find the forum. The story appeared after the McCanns met at the plush hotel near Leicester.
