Madeleine McCann: 4650 Articles, Christian Ridout Was Here And Lawless Morocco
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann.
DAILY EXPRESS front page: Poster blitz in Morocco”
“More than 11,000 letters and posters have been distributed in remote parts of the North African country to jog the memory of someone who may have seen the little girl”
A spokesman says: “E-mail is great within larger towns and cities, but there are still a lot of people who do not have Madeleine’s picture or the phone contact details to report sightings or information”
Do you have Madeleine’s picture? Do you know the phone number?
DAILY MAIL: “Letter blitz on remote Moroccan mountain villages that Madeleine McCann campaign cannot reach”
“Agents [of Metodo 3] have distributed photographs of the little girl with an appeal in French and Arabic to call with information about her whereabouts. But it has proved difficult to reach all of the isolated communities where a child could have been taken, many of which are in lawless, mountainous regions”
Those lawless Moroccans…
“Madeleine: Private detectives hunt for British barman known as DJ Shifty, accused of grooming an under-age girl for sex”
“Part-time barman and disc jockey Christian Ridout, 32, allegedly sent the British girl obscene text messages when he worked in an expats’ pub 200 yards from where Madeleine disappeared. When the 12-year-old’s mother discovered the explicit messages, Ridout - also known as DJ Shifty - left Portugal in a hurry”
A suspect?
Says the paper: “By coincidence, the Ridout family were next-door neighbours of the family of Robert Murat, the chief suspect in the Madeleine hunt, when the Murats lived in the nearby village of Almadena. The night after Madeleine went missing, a British expat walked into the Plough and Harrow pub in Praia da Luz, still owned by his parents Tony, 57, and Jill, 58, and asked: ‘Where’s Christian then?’ Locals have disparagingly nicknamed the pub ‘The Plough and Paedophile‘ and the missing man is widely disliked in the tight-knit community”
So where is Christian? Well, he left Praia da Luz a few years ago. His mother says she has not seen him for two years. Says the girl’s mother: “I went in to see them just before Madeleine disappeared and they confirmed they’re still looking for him. ‘No one knows where he is, but he could have been back to this area”
Or not…
THE SUN front page: “Publicity blitz for Maddie in Africa”
“Many still don’t recognise her”
Help make Madeleine McCann the world’s most recognisable face
“Despite a massive campaign highlighting the seven-month search for their daughter, experts believe many in the north African country still lack the crucial information they need to help trace her”
Many?
“Now a silent army of volunteers from the Helping To Find Madeleine campaign have given their time over the festive period to flood businesses across the nation with 11,500 letters and posters”
Not so silent
“The initiative comes after the McCanns’ Spanish detective agency pin-pointed Morocco as the most likely place little Maddie may have been taken”
Can you pinpoint a “likely place” to an entire nation? Is this detective work or guesswork?
Kate and Gerry McCann are “doctors”. Fact
Kate pins on badge of hope: “ANGUISHED Kate McCann returned to church yesterday – with a badge of hope bearing a picture of missing Madeleine pinned close to her heart”
A new merchandise push?
One “worshipper” at Kate’s church says: “Every mother wants to cuddle her children at Christmas – it’s heartbreaking that Kate has been denied that. The badge is a symbol of hope that could help focus new eyes on the hunt for Madeleine”
“347 new Maddie calls combed” - The McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell says: “We are pleased with the calls and they are continuing to come in. Every single call is much appreciated and we are going through them with a fine-tooth comb. Any that need to be acted upon swiftly are being acted upon swiftly. We don’t go into detail because if there is any significant information”
DAILY STAR: “TECS: MADDIE BEING HELD IN MOROCCO”
“More than 11,500 posters appealing for information about the youngster have been sent out to the furthest reaches of the north African country”
Francisco Marco, the PI hired by the McCanns, says: “Morocco is the perfect place to hide a kidnapped girl”. He has said this before. Is Morocco the perfect place? Why not Algeria? Or Malta?
DAILY RECORD: “Maddie Poster Blitz In Morocco”
“Schools, supermarkets and medical centres are being blitzed with thousands of photos of the missing four-year-old. And letters written in French and Arabic are being sent to towns and villages in the most remote parts of the country”
Madeleine in Morocco. Or not. Again… Isabel Gonzalez saw her. Mari Pollard saw her
Clarence Mitchell says: “Anyone who puts effort into assisting us in any way, we are incredibly grateful for, and it sounds like they have done a fantastic job. I have no doubt that it is this kind of effort and initiatives that will lead us to finding Madeleine”
Gerry and Kate McCann are “doctors”
THE GUARDIAN: “From Mr Bean to Shambo the bull, the media obsessions of 2007”
A review: “Almost nine months after she vanished, we know a lot about Madeleine McCann and her family. We know the legal implications of being named an official suspect in a Portuguese criminal investigation. What we do not know is who took her, if she is alive and whether any trace of her will ever be found again. A total of 4,650 articles have appeared in British newspapers since she disappeared on May 3”
THE SCOTSMAN: “Madness, badness, hate and heroism - Robert McNeil continues his unique take on the events of 2007 with a look back at the second three months of the year…”
“Hell also visited the parents of three-year-old Madeleine McCann on 3 May when the toddler disappeared from their holiday apartment in the Algarve. In the ensuing months, Kate and Gerry McCann used the media to keep the case in the public eye. The Portuguese police did the same, but their efforts were directed more at casting doubts on the McCanns and their friends. Supposed sightings of Madeleine were reported periodically, but each time hopes were dashed”
THE TIMES: “Hundreds ring hotline after Madeleine plea”
Yesterday in the latest entry on his internet diary, Mr McCann wrote: “Madeleine should not be spending Christmas away from her loving family. The person who took her has it in their power to end our suffering and will be able to appease their conscience that they have done the right thing – especially at this time of year. Kate and I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to write to us and let us know Madeleine and our family are still in their thoughts and prayers. We still have at least one hundred cards to open! As always, every single one will be read and the support expressed helps renew our determination to find Madeleine”
The story, speculation and sensation…

I’ve just thought - in connection with the sentence “Home in a van” that I heard Mr. McScam say in reverse speech — thinking of the possibility that we talked of earlier of transporting the body back to the UK — “Home in a van”!! — makes you think!

Why dont you give it a rest eh? You are nothing but an irritant. If you’ve got something worthwhile about anything to do with this case then by all means say it, but expect to get challenged at some point (even though i know its hard for you to swallow - or not
)
And remember luvvy , your posts today have been nothing other than about me. Which even I find bleedin boring. So move on or clock out!

The reverse speech you quote is from David Oates’s own interpretation of McCann recordings, is it? I’ve known about reverse speech for quite a long time - I think David Oates was the one who actually discovered it by dropping his tape recorder into a bowl of water by mistake and then finding when he switched it on that the tape was playing in reverse. This might be an apocryphal story, but it’s a nice one anyway! He was quoted as giving the reverse of a number of speeches by important people - Clinton was one at the time of the Monica Lewinsky affaire — I can’t remember exactly what he was supposed to have said (in reality, in reverse) but something quite damning to himself.
What you’ve posted above from him and the McCanns in reverse is quite substantial and, in my own experience of reversing speech, perhaps a little improbable as basically only a few words here and there appear — to me, at any rate and I have hearing above and below most people’s ranges, I had it tested. When I reversed some of the McCann videos I heard a number of words which related to locations, and some quite short sentences two of which said: “We’re smarter than them” (this was Mr.McScam) and “Home in a van” (also him). I also heard, as a matter of interest, the word “Tiara”. I was quite surprised when, during the Baby Grace incident, this word “Tiara” was mentioned in connection with her (Baby Grace’s) shoes. This was odd.
I sent all the information I had received to the PJ but, not unexpectedly, heard nothing from them.

Judith, it’s a movie and there’s nothing disturbing visually. What’s disturbing is how the big scale corporate America is dominating this whole medical scenario for financial gain. People are brought up here in a culture of reliance on a drug to fix a problem. The US is also heavily into cosmetic surgery - another “medical” reliance.
If you ever visit Mexico - in particular, Tijuana - it’s a popular daytrip destination for Americans in southern California. What I remember from there is the dozens of chemist shops (pharmacy’s) that line the streets as you cross the border and enter Mexico. The reason? Easy…you can walk in those shops and buy prescription drugs without prescription - and at a fraction of the cost too. After you walk past the chemist’s, there’s dozens of off-licenses (liquor stores). It’s pretty shocking. In the UK, people go to French hypermarkets to stock up on food and booze. The Americans in San Diego go to Tijuana to stock up on anti-depressants, Viagra, Ritalin, et al.

You aren’t thick at all, Garth. Thank goodness for you and all of the others like you who are prepared to take a more rational view of the mystery srrounding Madeleine’s disappearance.
I can understand why you swear at times when there is so much deliberate provocation aimed at you, I’m tempted to swear on here myself sometimes.

A good example of reprobate kids who didn’t need Ritalin were the killers of James Bulger. They took him on a Friday when they should have been at school. The parents of Messrs Venables and (forget the other one’s name) should have made sure the kids were at school and then little Jamie may still be alive today. A friend of mine is a prison officer in Warrington. He said those boys were the embodiment of evil and should never have been let out of jail. Ritalin wouldn’t have fixed those b***ards. It was years and years of bad parenting that turned those kids into the end product.

Reversed Speech
There’s an Australian gent named David Oates who give talks on reverse speech. His theory is that if we listen to speech backwards we’ll hear interesting patterns that give clues to personality.
He crops up on various radio programs that I listen to while working.
Anyway, the article I read about the McCanns reverse speech had Kate worrying about M’s hair a lot. Then Jane Tanner did the same.
I saved the transcripts, but they are a little long for one post.
But let me know if you want part of the transcript.
Here’s a little of it:
Kate Fwd1 : She is so special, please don’t hurt her, please don’t scare her, please, please tell us where to find her.
Kate Reverse1: ( Her hair…….same colour please, her hair, repeat her hair, have it plaid please.)
Kate Fwd2 : We need our Madeleine, Shaun and Amilie need Madeleine and Madeleine needs us.
Kate Reverse2 : ( But we know how much the Campaign…..no harm our demude.)
NOTE : {Denude….meaning= The uncovering of something, especially land.
To remove a valuable possession or quality}
Kate Fwd 3 : Please give our little girl back…..{she then repeats that in Portuguese}
Kate Reverse 3 : (Of all this homelessness, ah….with the long hair plaid)
Kate Fwd 4 : Nearly choked on ma full English because of that.
{she’s referring to a text she got from Trish when Gerry took Trish and her man to the airport, Gerry nearly lost it over that tiny tears and this is what Trish was texting to Kate.}
Kate Reverse 4 : (Have a look at the children you love, you must rescue them)
Kate Fwd 5 : Ah…a mean it’s very harsh to say that, coz a mean, you know, he’s…he’s, Gerry’s always been a very focused person, he’s enthusiastic.
Kate Reverse 5 : (If you have any fury….sailors, speak your name…..we’re tired and shattered.)
Kate Fwd 6 : Speaking in public, not dealing with the media.
{she’s referring to Gerry here}
Kate Reverse 6 : (Honest there’s two of them in the ****) {or it could be SHIP}{couldn’t make that last letter out}
Kate Fwd 7 : We were just doing absolutely everything we can do.
Kate Reverse 7 : (Where would we be partying if partner is in jail)
[this was eerily clear sounding]
Kate Fwd 8 : That Gerry had just been into the apartment and then…..em you…..you’re right there’s a useful window of opportunity but…you know.
Kate Reverse 8 : (Panic….oh me…foolish..having no fear of fury and that’s when the awful-ish minutes pushed me right back.
Kate Fwd 9 : And there isn’t a day that goes by but I’m kinda thinking to myself, why did I think that was okay, was I wrong in thinking that was okay and you know all I can say to myself is, I know how much I love my children.
Kate Reverse 9 : (Now relation can pull I’ve shown ya, when you’re out there partying…..Kate who?….hello…..hello again, I’m not Annie, I’m all about Kate, Holy edmund’s waiting on ye.)

I wonder whether I would have the nerve (for want of a better word) to read ‘Sicko’ as I can imagine it is highly disturbing and I find life in my immediate vicinity disturbing enough these days. But I am glad Michael Moore has written such a book, criticising (as I’m sure it does) what is happening in the US in connection with kids and drugs. I am horrified already by the casual way in which these ‘calming’ drugs are doled out to children. Children shouldn’t know ANYTHING about drugs. They shouldn’t need drugs of any kind whatsoever. The fact that they do shows how debased childhood has become - how debased adults have become who accept it as normal that a child should need to be sedated. What are the long-term effects? I saw a US Professor (on the internet) talking about Ritalin and saying that it was a short-term measure, and harmful in the long term. Yet they are all still blithely doling it out. Europe will follow where the US leads, never fear. But I do fear!
