Recycling Christmas Cards With Anorak

OVER the newswires we learn: “The public is being urged to recycle this year’s 100m Christmas cards and support a scheme that raises funds for tree planting around the UK, one of the least wooded countries in Europe.”

Sue Holden, chief executive of the Woodland Trust, says: “The UK is one of the least wooded countries in Europe - just 12% of the UK is covered by woods compared with the European average of 44%.

“By recycling your cards, you can help us plant thousands more trees throughout the UK.”
Anorak has, of course, been recycling Christmas cards for an age.

Last year were delighted to receive a card from one climate friendly reader which read: “Baby Jesus Love” and features a picture of the Bay City Rollers dressed as elves.
