The Correio da Manha newspaper “claimed Kate and Gerry, of Rothley, Leics, could be charged with perjury and wasting police time”
But don’t the police waste enough of that themselves?
“They have been warned by their legal team they may have to go to the European Court of Human Rights to get their arguido status lifted”
Human rights? What of Madeleine’s rights?

He has continued to make statements in this vein..”Totally
Innocent”…”Have had nothing to do with their daughter’s
disappearance”….etc etc. All absolute statements of
the parents innocence. No doubt whatsoever..Not..”I believe
in their innocence”, or “I feel they are innocence”.

If I were part of the PJ Investigating Team, I would haul
Mr Mitchell in for questioning and insist on him revealing
just how he “knows” that the parents are so
“Utterly Innocent”.
I would be also be insisting that he tells me exactly
where he was during the period of April 28th through to
May 3rd especially, and also later.
I would want to know if he was present in the McCann’s
apartment at any time during that period of time.
I would consider him to be very suspect indeed, and would
insist that he convinces me that he himself is not
involved in the child’s disappearance.
If as he says…”Utterly innocent”..then he must be privy
to information which so far may have eluded the PJ, and I
would want to know why he has not volunteered such
important information to us, thereby causing serious
delays in the solving the “mystery” of the “disappearance”.
I would consider him as being, at the very least, a
self professed witness who has deliberately withheld
information essential to the enquiry and has deprived
Police of what could be very important evidence.
As he has made frequent and very definate statements
regarding the parents being “Utterly innocent” then he
must actually know what occurred regarding the
“disappearance”.
I would be demanding that he reveals all he “knows” about
the matter.
I think that such an occurrence would result in a hell
of a lot of the Bombast, Arrogance and Self-importance
and Misinformation which emanates from this pink shirted
PR man.
May not solve the “mystery”, but would certainly cause
him to be much more moderate and realistic in his choice
of, and use of language in the future.
Could even lead to answers not yet known as well.

This is a very interesting quote if accurate:

Do I read this to mean that the friend and therefore possibly Team McCann, don’t think they should be arguidos if Madeline died accidentally? Maybe this is the key to it after all. She died accidentally and McCanns and friends consider it none of anybody’s business how they conducted themselves after that!!
