Remember that someone drove to PDL from the UK to deliver that big bouncy castle with Madeleine’s picture on it. I believe there were several trips to and fro the UK on ferries. Gerry’s blog mentions it.
It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that the body could be back in the UK. If so, I’d expect the family to have made visits to the site. Personally I think it’s been well and truly disposed of wherever that may be.
What body Stevo, who disposed of the body well and truly, the abductor or someone closer ?

I know…well said. I can’t believe that people out there really do think the PJ are like the Keystone Cops or Laurel & Hardy. So many people have complained about the PJ not sealing off the apartment properly but I proved that wasn’t true the other day when I found links to photos of forensic cops sealing off the apartment and dusting for prints on May 4. But no…the pro-McCanns still keep beating that same old drum beat that is pointless. The cops haven’t spent over 1 million Euros for a case to go nowhere. There is a massive amount of stigma that won’t go away unless the PJ solve the case and I believe they will. I think it’s just down to how many people are involved and the PJ will want to round up all the perpetrators - not just the ringleader(s).

Thanks C-lou. My problem with posters who come in and make statements is that they are not debating anything. They just disrupt a board because people get deflected into responding to inane comments instead of discussing the possibilities…or…coming up with something new. To my knowledge, Sledgehammer talks a lot but says nothing. That’s no disrespect to the person behind the name…it’s just a blatant fact about his/her postings.

404 Sledgehammer The pj already had statements from the McCs from the time it all began. The clever questioning technique was so that Kate would be able to run back to Gerry and vice-versa.
The police were using all sorts of various coloured herrings the whole time and it looks as if the McCs were swallowing them whole. The FBI and CIA use similar methods. A quick way of putting it is to say that …… if you give people enough rope they will hang themselves……. Just as they have continued to do.

Good points. I wonder though if the story about 7 kids alone together in the same room was the PJ’s way of letting the T9 know that they knew the kids were in another room because they’d done DNA testing? Some of the PJ leaked stories are very strange like that.

REPLY: Neither were the police there when the crime was committed - they seldom are. That’s why we have police. If everyone told the truth and/or didn’t commit crime, we wouldn’t need them. You don’t have to be at the place of a crime while it is happening to work out who did it. No disrespect to you but that’s the silliest thing I’ve heard in a long time.

My point about the DNA testing of other T9 apartments was in relation to misdirection. Ah Madeleine was in our apartment and disappeared from there so check here for DNA and other forensic evidence. Misdirect the police to the wrong place - Madeleine was actually somewhere else that night (hence Oldfield didn’t notice her when he checked).
Second misdirection afterwards - Robert Murat - imply his involvement, focus immediate Police attention on him and then gradually build up that attention by revealing more and more witnesses that saw him.

It cannot be disputed, they said themselves that they left the three kids alone in an unlocked apartment and that is the reason Maddie is not here today..again FACT.

He also insisted that detectives had made dramatic progress in the inquiry and were close to a breakthrough.
He spoke out after appointing his deputy Paulo Rebelo to take over the investigation based at police headquarters in nearby Portimao.
Mr Rebelo has opened new lines of inquiry and has ordered a series of fresh searches. He is continuing to treat Kate and Gerry, both 39, as chief suspects.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais, Mr Ribeiro said: “I am convinced that sooner or later we are going to have a result. I cannot say when. But I am optimistic.
“Many similar cases have lasted longer and were resolved in the end. I think this will also happen in our case. We have an idea of what happened.
“We’ve performed a huge job analysing and discounting hundreds of leads and pieces of evidence. In every investigation there is a key moment, a click that clarifies everything and helps you to reach the end.”

Portuguese police, in a series of leaks in the summer, suggested the diary was important because it showed Mrs McCann’s unbalanced state of mind - a claim dismissed as a smear.
Sources close to Kate and Gerry McCann, both doctors from Rothley in Leicestershire, point out the diary was only started after Madeleine vanished aged three from their holiday apartment in Praia da Luz and contains no relevant information to the inquiry.
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha claimed that letters requesting police seize the diary a second time would be handed in today at a court in Portimao and could be executed this month.
Police are also understood to have applied, as expected, to extend the judicial secrecy surrounding the case, preventing access to the inquiry to both the McCanns and Robert Murat, the only official suspects. All three deny any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance.
A source close to the McCanns said today: “If they want access to the updated diary, they can ask her for it but it is a matter for Kate to decide. It is very personal property.”

Good Morning to Tony Bennet ……. Hello and big thanks for all your hard work during this case. I rang the McCanns Social Services and told them that I was proposing to visit a family-friendly resort in Portugal and would possibly be leaving my three children alone for a couple of hours each night.
I asked if I would be afforded all the same governmental and media help if one of them choked or got stung by a wasp or wandered off or was abducted or there was an electrical fault causing the apartment to catch fire. and then I asked if they would put some guide-lines in the post for me to have read-through and I was told ‘No comment’. Has anybody else had a similar reaction from the social services?

I think having an idea about what happened is one of the most obvious facts of the entire case.

Nobody has any idea of what happened, Stevo, but most anti-McCanns speculate to the point that they make it to look as fact. They have decided that the pool photo is a fake, then they decide that the pool photo is from day 1. They decide that there are 2 Maddie’s, then they decide that the child has Turners and Charge Sydnromes, etc. etc. I have not seen one shred of evidenced published anywhere that confirms any of those “decisions” by the anti-McCann people.
