But don’t the police waste enough of that themselves?
“They have been warned by their legal team they may have to go to the European Court of Human Rights to get their arguido status lifted”

REPLY: A poster on another forum who was connected with Leicestershire Social Services stated that there was an arrangement in place for the McCanns never to be left alone at night unless there was a relative with them in the house.
It is thought that an uncle of the twins has been performing this role. Almost certainly, Leics Social Services will have carried out a child protection investigation under Section 47 Children Act 1989 - and it is very possible that Amelie and Sean may be on the Leicestershire Child Protection Register. Gerry’s blog is curiously silent about all of this! - though of course he has gone on record as quoting official backing for his statement that “I have been advised that what we did [REMINDER: going out boozing 6 nights in a row leaving three young children under 4 alone in a dark and foreign apartment] is well within the bounds of responsible parenting” (a direct quote from his blog, by the way)

matt - round here and in my job ‘IT IS NOT DISCUSSED’ - no directive - but somehow it seems to be ‘bad form’ to even mention this case in passing - which is why i so love anorak - it keeps me sane - however it should come with a health warning and is it more addictive than cigarettes. (IMO)

It seems to use some parameters I have never heard of and so, whilst all the armchair forecasters were forecasting snow in the south-east yeasterday the real meterological (?) data seemed to indicate the conditions weren’t just quite right.

Thanks to all you guys on here for saving my sanity! All the people who abandon their kids for a night out are saying, ‘There but for the Grace of God’ and supporting the McCanns and anybody who thinks they are somebody are so far up Gerry’s arse you can see his grimace and pain in every photograph of him. Thank God that some of us are not kow-towing to the press-machines and monitors. George Orwell prohesied that some animals would be more equal than others and this is being played out before our eyes. Be a doctor and get away with abandoning your kids. Be a doctor and allow your 3 yr old to baby-sit your 18mths old babies. Be a doctor and do something really bad and well-known celebrities will let you use their songs and pictures and do your merchandising for free!!! It just goes to show that there are other ways to get well-known than shooting people in a shopping mall. And you get to meet the Pope. He’s not f*cking daft either!
