Why? The church photo may be from a newspaper - I think the star published this version - and maybe they airbrushed Gerry’s elbow out. Reasonable explanation i would have thought. So I suggest they let us k now, so that we can get rid of this speculation.

If Madeleine was by the pool on the 2nd then there would be independent witnesses to confirm it - if she wasn’t then a photo wouldn’t be enough to convince a jury either way.

Also, one photo doesn’t mean she didn’t die later on the 2nd - so maybe the dispute is a waste of energy?

What difference would it make if the photos were real or fake or what day they were taken on?

Photos are unlikely to be part of the PJs case.

My eye-sight’s atrocious but one of the detectives thinks that JT’s partner looks a lot like RM. Except for the height. A lot of witnesses have placed RM at the scene. The police have peculiar evidence to PROVE he wasn’t but that somebody who looks a lot like him was there. So what about that then? Who the f*ck looks like RM? My eye-sight’s too bad to work it out. His status is an extension due to fear of him going to the media - allegedly.

Regarding the Altar photo, I have done my own analysis/enlargement/zoom and there is an elbow (above the horizontal shadow-line projected along the mortar joint of the rock, which is at about the same level of the edge of the brim of Maddie’s hat). One can also see shadow on the underside of the elbow. You can also see the difference in colour between the rock in the background and the skin (more pinkish) colour. It is definitely there!

I have to agree with you two. The church photo looked like a scan from a magazine with some sloppy clonning to cover the elbow and top of Amelie’s hat, so that M would be more portrait style. It looked like an amateurish but well intended attempt to make an artistic poster.

But, I still believe the “last photo” was one of the first photos taken on vacation and the McCanns deliberately changed the date and lied to the police about it to try to prove M was still around at that time.

I don’t know of anyone who saw M at the pool and only one nanny who said the saw Kate at the pool at the key times.

The honesty of the pool photo was questioned many weeks ago and big discissions were had on its validity.

The investigation by anorak contributors was thorough but the end result was as usual just supposition with arguments for and against photo manipulation. This investigation of the photo could well have been started by the McCanns statement that the time on the photo was wrong and was taken at a different time. Shadow measurements, solar timetables and the like were thrown on to the forum to prove that the picture was indeed manipulated.

So now we have the same image of Madeleine found elsewhere with proof that one of the copies has been tampered with. My thinking is that if the McCann clan read this forum thay would have had ample opportunity to announce that the picture in the church had been altered to remove an offending elbow. It does make sense to do that. It makes the image of Madeleine stand out more and the viewer would focus more on her image the with the least background distractions. Obviously the picture is important to them and a simple clarification would have been easy. But now it looks sinister.

To me it looks like the blurred copy is the original as it was the earliest released.
Does anyone know if the church copy is blurred or is it just the photo taken of it blurred?
Gerry, as pointed out could have stepped quickly out of the picture taking his other child with him, thus leaving Madeleine alone. But why hasn’t this stated by the McCanns? They placed a lot of emphasis on this photo even though it took a few weeks to be released. To clear up any potential conspiracy theories you think the McCann camp would, if innocent, realised the confusion such discrepancies could cause and would have endeavoured to counter them before they arose.

A theory starting to grow on me is that CM is the 10th tapas guy.
Has any investigation been done to place Clarrie anywhere near the McCanns on that fateful week?
Has any connection been found between Richard Branson and CM?
Did Virgin Airlines fly the family back and forth from Portugal at anytime? And does Richard Branson get preferential customs treatment?

I worked on border control in Auckland a few years back and even though NZ is relatively corruption free, certain famous people get favours. As do heads of state etc. I serched and caught a member of a Kings entourage bring in 1000’s of cigarettes but was told to turn a blind eye. No diplomatic scenes wanted. Yet Joe public gets hammered for a sly carton!!

IMO the McCanns sphincters will be twitching a little more in the next few days.

You are wrong - they don’t cooperate they truly do have everything to lose! They cooperated before - they turned over copies of Mrs. McCanns diary when asked (and they were only asked for a copy if you’ll recall); turned over cuddle cat for forensic testing when asked before. Why should they not do the same now? Frankly, if they are doing a ‘charade’ or a con job best not stop it now by refusing to cooperate at this point - that could seal their fate!

I truly don’t think there are any ‘leaks’ just speculations taking place if for no other reason than to sell papers. The new Investigator they assigned to the case is a total professional and I would be quite surprised if he even permitted his staff to dare discuss this case outside of the office.
