Madeleine McCann: Her Blood, Official Tabloid News And Michaela Walczuch Denies
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE: IT WAS HER BLOOD IN PARENTS’ HIRE CAR”
“New results sent to Portugal in the last few days show the blood samples could only belong to Madeleine, it was claimed” – claimed…
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha reports: “The definitive result of the tests leave no doubts for the Policia Judiciaria. The blood found in the McCanns’ car is that of Madeleine as well as those samples detected in the flat”
No doubt? So says a newspaper report that provides the basis to THE WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER’S lead story
Says McCanns’ spokesman Clarence Mitchell: “These reports are very distressing for Kate and Gerry, they are depressed that again wild rumour and speculation is being presented as fact. We wish Portuguese police would just get on with their investigation, come over to England and carry out the interviews with Kate and Gerry and their friends. All those interviews will prove, yet again, that Kate and Gerry have nothing to hide.
“As for the supposed DNA testing, we cannot comment on yet more unsubstantiated rampant speculation in the Portuguese press. It is ridiculous to suggest that Madeleine’s blood was in the hire car because she was never in it. It was hired more than 20 days after she went missing, which means it was impossible for her to have ever been in it”
A friend of the McCanns says: “They were in no way involved in her disappearance, reports like this just add to their anguish. We would also point out that low copy DNA is under review by police forces in this country following the outcome of the Omagh bombing trial”
But it is a sign of police progress, right?
THE SUN front page: “Maddie blood ‘in hire car’”
“The tormented parents of Madeleine McCann reacted in fury last night to new claims that DNA evidence backs the theory they killed her”
KATE AGONY OVER ‘WILD’ DNA CLAIM – Blood specks behind sofa and in car ‘are Maddie’s”. The scent of death?
A ‘wild’ claim repeated in the Sun…
“Now it is being claimed new and ‘definitive’ results from Britain support the police theory that Maddie was killed in the apartment and her body moved in a car hired 25 days AFTER she vanished” – Claimed by Portuguese newspaper Correio Da Manha, from where the Sun gets its news
The Forensic Laboratory in Birmingham says: “Tests are still being carried out. No final report has been submitted to the Portuguese authorities”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE – Blood in car is hers OFFICIAL”
“BLOOD IN CAR IS MADDIE’S OFFICIAL – ‘No doubts’ after test on Renault”
“The findings appear to support the police theory that Madeleine was accidentally killed in the apartment and her parents disposed of her body to mask their negligence”
Only…
“But they come from low-copy DNA analysis – a controversial technique based on just a few human cells which was recently branded unreliable by UK police. Last month, Omagh bomb suspect Sean Hoey walked free after a judge decided this type of testing was not at a sufficiently scientific level to be considered evidence. The Association of Chief Police Officers then announced it was suspending use of the technique in criminal inquiries. And the Crown Prosecution Service in England and Wales is reviewing a number of cases in which it was involved. That means the results in Madeleine’s case could probably never be used in court”
DAILY MAIL: “Did Maddie witnesses mistake this friend of the McCanns for Murat”
As Anorak reprotered yesterday, David Payne, one of the so-called Tapas 7,9 etc., looks not a lot unlike Robert Murat
Mr Murat’s lawyer Francisco Pagarete says: “Robert has always said the witnesses were mistaken. He was not there that night”
“MR MURAT’S girlfriend Michaela Walczuch was yesterday forced to deny claims she had been named as a police suspect in the case. The Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas claimed the mother-of-one, 34, had been made an ‘arguido’, or formal suspect, alongside Mr Murat and the McCanns. Lawyer Mr Pagarete insisted he had been misquoted by the tabloid when discussing her. Police refused to confirm or deny the report”
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “Murat’s girlfriend ‘is Madeleine McCann suspect’”
“The Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas reported that Michaela Walczuch, 32, was made an arguida after a witness claimed to have seen her with a small girl two days after four-year-old Madeleine went missing last May”
He is an arguido. She is an aguida
“A spokesman for the Portuguese police said yesterday that she had ‘no information’ about Miss Walczuch being made an official suspect”
Or not…
“ARE spin doctors taking over the world? - The rise and rise of the profession is not confined to politics: even the McCann family, campaigning to find their daughter Madeleine, sought the help of a former BBC journalist, Clarence Mitchell, to manage their publicity”
DAILY MIRROR: “ NEW LEAD ON MADDY”
British tourist Gail Cooper says she saw a “mystery man hanging around Madeleine McCann’s holiday flat just days before she vanished”. Like Paul Gordon did
Ms Cooper say: “He was horrible looking man , really creepy, unkempt and dirty. He definitely wasn’t Portuguese. He scared me”
Is there more than one creepy man in Praia da Luz? Another oddball?
Says Cooper: “I’m sure this man had something to do with Madeleine’s disappearance”
THE SCOTSMAN: “New claims on blood in McCann’s hire car
“Blood traces found in the hire car used by Kate and Gerry McCann were from their missing daughter Madeleine, according to a Portuguese newspaper”
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “Please don’t make this into another Maddy’”
Amy Fitzpatrick is missing. She is Irish. Her mother lives in Spain. Amy is 15. she went missing as she walked home on New Year’s Day from a friend’s house where she was babysitting in Calahonda near Mijas in southern Spain
“Outside Amy’s home, a gated development called Riviera Del Sol, just outside Fuengirola, children played in the shrubland, oblivious to the fact a teenager had vanished nearby without a trace. Some poked through shrubbery, others rode their bikes. It was a very different scene to that when Madeleine McCann disappeared last summer in Portugal, when locals and ex-pats joined the search to try and find the missing girl. But the family does not want a repeat of the publicity which has surrounded her case. ‘Please don’t turn this into a circus,’ a family spokesman said last night. ‘Don’t make it another Maddy. Let the police do their job’”
There is only one Madeleine McCann – Her story so far

I think regardless of their guilt or innocence they do have a fame addiction. I know who Ben Needham is and what he looked like and I’ve only seen his mother interviewed twice.

If ever Madeleine’s body is found and laid to rest somewhere (UK), I believe the outporing of grief will be as big as it was for Princess Diana when she died.
I think this little girl is in everybodies mind and she will not be forgotten. I hope that if the parents are found guilty, someone does something with regards to changing the UK Law to protect other children from neglect and abuse.

174 - Daisy I agree but we are talking about the british public here who can’t be bothered anymore. We are now seeing the highest cost of fuel, being taxed off the planet, work tyhe longets hours blah blah blah and what do we do? feck all. We haven’t got it in us anymore. in the 80’s we had it. We would stand up for oursleves. Not anymore. This country is ruined. We don’t have a say anymore. People won’t be bothered. We’re all bothered but what do we do about it apart from bicker on here? Nothing. Yes people will care about it but in their own unassuming way and as long as their little world is ok then it will pass and we’ll continue our daily routines as if nothing has happened whilst little madeline will never be found and have justice served and then another well connected family will overstep the mark somehow and ‘get away with it’ cos they’ll be looked after byu who they know and politicians will be able to get away with this shit we face day in day out and yet we shall do nothing about it. People can’t even be bothered to vote cos they know it will be no different whoever is in power. It’s our system from top to bottom that is at fault and always will be. Please, don’t get me started on battery farmed chickens……:)

Daisy, a ‘hairshirt’ is a garment made of horsehair which used to be worn as punishment and penance in medieval days. It had to be kept on for 40 days and was riddled with fleas ,sweat and all manner of nastiness, being beaten with birch twigs just added to the misery

Madeleine the movie: McCanns in talks over film of daughter’s disappearance
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=506750&in_page_id=1770
Morning all
+++++++++
Good morning indeed! That’s just a gross article. (Not having a go at you Annie_M, appreciate you just posted the link to the article.)
Of course, the McCann’s will be in a rush to have such a film made whilst they can still manipulate the media and spin it to show them in a favourable light. How can the McCann’s “turn the story of their daughter into a film”? They allegedly don’t know her story? There is an ongoing criminal investigation attempting to discover what actually happened to the poor girl.
If there is any substance to this story, just who are these odious “sources close to the McCanns”? Why don’t they have the courage to be quoted on the record? And if this is just newspaper rumours, how about Clarence making a clear and unequivocal statement about their intentions in this area?
I do wish also that the media would stop talking about the “Fund”. It’s not a fund, it’s a limited company. A limited company that is currently clearing out about £50,000 per month on a highly dubious contract with a team of detectives who have no experience of finding missing persons. A team of detectives who’s area of expertise is “corporate fraud”.
Notice also the careful placing of the idea that the “Fund” needs more money but is being prevented from entering deals such as this because of the McCann’s arguido status. They are suspects in a criminal investigation. If they genuinely want that status lifted and they really are innocent, why don’t they return to Portugal and leave their expensive legal team at home?
In my opinion, Madeleine’s fate became secondary to the McCann’s media delusions a long time ago.

It was just a comment about how we wouldn’t get one (rather than a request) - the press never does apologise, it just moves on.

Just seemed strange that people expected one.
On the other hand do you think the media may have been gagged, possibly to enable the PJ investigations to proceed unhindered to prosecution?

the really weird thing though, is even though the people lived in poverty, and have all these crappy laws they still seem happier than we are.
and even people in the middle of the bush thought the mc’s were guilty.
even in the jungle for fuck’s sake, so why the bbc can’t see it i don’t know.

I imagine the film will have an 18 certificate so the drug taking/swinging scenes can be included. (IMO and alledgedly of course)

I think people will care and they will make it know to them one way or another. Why? Because there is an innocent little girl in the centre of it. If the McCanns had ripped people off just because and they were caught, the outrage would just be from the people who donated money to their Fund. But because the life of a little girl was apparently lost in a senseless manner, I think the public in general will be up in arms.

If the McCanns are guilty, why do people want an apology, surely JUSTICE for a little girl is the aim?
Besides hasn’t everyone had days of entertainment meanwhile?

‘Reasonable chastisement’ is the term. As long as marks fade, apparently. Primitive shithole we live in now!
January 8th, 2008 at 11:43 am
I’m in favor of a film, as long as I am the director. I can promise that the film will leave film-goers very confused as to what the plot was. I imagine my final shot would be the overturned tombstone of the McCanns, in remembrance of how they “left no stone unturned”. Probably this documentary will have to wait for the McCann’s demise, before being completed. I will gladly create characters based on you posters too. There should be a couple of guys who analyze photographs and prove that the film is a fake, for example.

Morning all. Not so bad tempered today!
I think this news about a potential film deal is brilliant! They really are losing the plot, can you imagine G&K taking the director/producer through the timeline. Each arrival and departure from the table re-enacted, 14 comings or goings in an hour and a half, each covered/filmed with explanation as to what they did, that’s half the film covered…..
I can see the producer saying doubtfully, “let’s try a pre-run,”
Then there’s the number of plates delivered to the table, then taken away to be reheated, and so on. I bet someone could come up with a hilarious sketch.
But really, I think “incredulous” is the only way to descibe most people’s reaction. That’s not a bad thing because it will spread out from the cosy blogs and anorak to eight million(?) Mail readers and beyond. Heh Heh….best since dirty nappies and rotting meat.

i think the McConns and anyone associated with them are now in personal danger of their lives.
by now probably millions of people would be prepared to do what bent social services and the corrupt uk leicester plod refuse to do
punish them
a date to remember:
8 january 2008 McConns signed their own death warrant
ripping fun
maybe that should be the starting point of the film
listening to the wonderful georgie harrison
“if you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there”
how apt
I was syaing this ages ago. I stioll don’t understand why there hasn’t been any public outpouring etc wherever they go. I guess that just goes to show the power of the press to make people belive what they read. i bet you find that even if all the facts come out and it’s 100% true they are involved then even then their is somethign stoppign the media from whooping it all up plus people are so sanitised by it already that they practically don’t give a shit anymore which is the tact the mcconns always wanted to take methinks to practically drown us in their shit so it eventually all goes away cos noone cares anymore and they get off scott free…

i’ve just come back from gambia, where wife and child beating is illegal, but
‘normal physical chastisement’ is fine according to the law.
