Madeleine McCann: Kelsey Lynn Kudia For Hire, Paris Hilton And Propaganda
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE SUN front page: “’MADDIE’ FOR HIRE”
Tonight Kelsey Lynn Kudia is Madeleine McCann. Kelsey looks likes Madeleine McCann. She’s not in Morocco. She;s nopt Bouchra Benaissa. She not in Malta. But for the right fee she might be. Kelsey is a working Madeleine McCann double
Pages 4 and 5: “The boss of a lookalike agency who hopes to make a fortune out of a little Madeleine McCann double said last night: ‘It’s not sinister – it’s entertainment’. Shona Adams reckons three-year-old Kelsey Lynn Kudla’s similarity to missing Maddie could earn her £9MILLION for starring in a proposed feature film about the vanished tot”
Well, someone would have to play the missing child, unless she is found alive and well…
Says Shona, owner of London’s Juliet Adams Model Agency: “If the film about Madeleine is ever made, then the world is Kelsey’s oyster. If someone like Steven Spielberg made it, she could make £9million easily – of which I’d take 20 per cent. She will become a name in her own right and make it as a child model or actress because she’s got her foot in the door”
Just when you thought it was safe to holiday in Portugal…Dum-dum…
Of course, great acting careers have begun with less. Didn’t Tom Hanks play the baby in a Cry In The Dark?
She continues: “And from there, her earning potential is limitless. It’s not sinister. And if the McCanns are upset, there’s nothing they can do because it’s a democracy. I wouldn’t back away from it because, if a film is being made, then it’s entertainment”
Kate and Gerry McCann are “doctors”.
Says Shona: “I wouldn’t put Kelsey in a position of doing anything bad taste”
SLAP IN FACE FOR McCANNS: Sun columnist Lorraine Kelly says: “It makes you recoil to think a lookalike agency would have a Madeleine on their books alongside someone who looks like Jack Nicholson or Paris Hilton”
Whatever could she mean? Neither Nicolson nor Hilton were available to defend themselves…
DAILY EXPRESS: “The Madeleine lookalike on hire for £600 an hour”
Do you want to get your resort or country in the papers? Hire Kelsey to be a “Madeleine” and attract the world’s media to your locale as she is spotted time and time again
Kelsey is American
“PARENTS trying to ‘distract’ police
A source “close to the official police” investigation says: “Who do the McCanns think they are? The discovery of new witnesses in the last few weeks lead the authorities to believe they are at war with a gigantic propaganda machine. The McCanns have some very powerful people on their side - millionaires, celebrities, even politicians”
Says Robert Murat’s lawyer: “Robert Murat does not have millionaires supporting him, nor campaign funds. “He just wants to see his name cleared in this case as he has nothing to do with Madeleine’s disappearance, despite every day people emerging trying to forcibly incriminate him”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE – The £600 an hour lookalike”
Page 7: “MADDIE DOUBLE FOR HIRE”
“A sick mother is touting her daughter as a £600-an-hour Madeleine McCann lookalike,” says the paper, amid adverts for “adult fantasies”, “nasty sex” and FILTH”
She is an “unnamed American girl” - see the Sun above
Says Clarence Mitchell: “This is an offensive way to make money out of Madeleine’s disappearance. This is deeply offensive to parents Kate and Gerry”
MADDIE: THE MOVIE: “Yesterday, Channel 4’s head of documentaries Angus Macqueen said he had attended a meeting with the McCanns’ representatives to discuss a movie. He tells us: “Of course we are interested in making a film about this compelling story. We have a history of making quality films about crime matters”
That’s entertainment: “Meanwhile, producers of US psychic TV show Haunting Evidence have been in Praia da Luz planning their own show about Madeleine’s disappearance”
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns are ready to sack detective agency”
Says a source: “We will carry on the search for Madeleine, but not necessarily with Metodo 3. We are stuck with them to the end of the contracted period. The question of whether it is renewed or not has still to be decided. They have faced not having their contract renewed every since Francisco shot his mouth off… It was made clear what they were doing was foolish and unhelpful”
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “US TV psychics join hunt for Madeleine McCann”
“Three clairvoyants from the hit show will travel to Praia da Luz in a bid to find the missing four-year-old”
Come in Madeleine…
Kate and Gerry McCanns have received “1,500” offers from psychics hoping to find Madeleine. Like the Psychic Barber…
Says Clarence Mitchell: “We did receive an offer and chose on this occasion not to respond. We are grateful for any assistance they bring to bear in the hunt for finding Madeleine. We thank them for their concern and any demonstrably checkable fact is passed on to the police or the private detective agency”
Tune and pick up into Madeleine on the telly…

Cheryl,
I don’t bet, but I’ve watched him too. He might be a good actor, or may be even a great actor, but I thought the same as you said it so well. He wouldn’t risk his reputation and career and he’s no fool. Neither is Smethurst, Branson or Kennedy. They all must have met many conns in their lives. They know how to check peoples background. Which reminds me of… but let’s discuss that later. The explanation of what happened might be very simple but I also see Daisy’s point “the bigger picture”.

A police source said yesterday: “When Kate tucked Madeleine up in bed earlier in the evening, she had the toy tightly in her arms, as she did every night.
“So Kate was terrified when she spotted it had been left in a place too high for her to reach.”

The case against Lindy Chamberlaine - Wikipedia
_________________
Jane, hello there! That case has been on my mind! They weren’t even guilty! John Walsh was interviewed months ago live on TV morning news about the McCann case and with him he had parents who had children missing and never found and other parents who had been crucified by the police and public and not guilty. What a program that was and listening to the parents talk and say how their lives had been changed forever and the hell those went through persecuted by the public and they were not guilty of their child’s disappearance. His child, by the way, was abducted by a paedophile, who has never been caught all these years, and too gruesome to put on here what happened to his young boy and then killed. Anyhow, he came out and said he felt they were innocent in her actual disapperanceand this was the work of an abductor and his heart broke for them. He and his wife had been through it, some of the parents on had been and who would know the signs of the work of such creatures than those who had been victimized by one.

I think you’ll find that the chances of a Dingo or a bear in seaside resort in Portugal is pretty remote.
Unless they escaped from a circus. Out of the frying pan into the fire.

Could be a “particular” child, but could also be an arbitrary child, only provided that the parents are members of the “ruling class”.

Totje, ‘trump card’ (one of my favourite expressions when you lay something you have in your backpocket on someone not expecting it - great way to win your point hands down, by the way) is not the correct usage here.
I know nothing about CM at all, I’ve picked up bits and pieces on here and that is it. Most of it has not been nice from my viewpoint and somethings said outright nasty about him. BUT since I prefer to stand back and stay objective in my thoughts and use my own mind to sort things out, I’ve not been sucked in by things said. I’m not a cynic and have little patience for cynical people.
I’ve watched him talk, looked at his face while he did, listened to him closely on how his voice sounded while talking on various subjects even in defending them - all those things one does objectively in evaluating someone. I do not believe for a second that man believes there is any guilt on their part for the young child’s actual disappearance from the apt. (Leave out Negligence for sake of argument with me please as I agree firmly on negligence on their part and I”m certain he realizes that to but isn’t paid to tell all of you his thought on that).
This man no matter how much they be paying him is NOT going to destroy his own reputation if he thought they were guilty. He knows he’d be ruined and scorned for life.
He has practically lived with these people since right after it happened, he has to know them by now, I can’t believe he is a fool and couldn’t tell if they are not truthful with him…he’d pick up on it - you can’t miss when someone is lying over time…slip ups, various voice changes on what they are saying, etc. just so many little things come out in a person…you have to observe someone closely to pick up on changes and he is there with them all most non-stop.
My money is on him, so to speak!

The case against Lindy Chamberlaine - Wikipedia
Media involvement and bias
The Chamberlain trial was the most publicised in Australian history. Given that most of the evidence presented in the case against Lindy Chamberlain was later rejected,
***the case is now used as an example of how media and bias can adversely affect a trial.***
***Public and media opinion during the trial had been significantly against the Chamberlains.****
Much was made of the fact that the Chamberlains were Seventh-day Adventists (including false allegations that the church was in fact a strange cult that had killed babies as part of bizarre religious ceremonies[2]), that the family took a newborn baby to a remote desert location, and that ***Mrs Chamberlain showed little emotion during the proceedings***.
Police had received an anonymous tip from a man, claiming to be Azaria’s doctor in Mount Isa, that the name Azaria meant “sacrifice in the wilderness” (it actually means “blessed of God”). The caller did not give his name. Claims were made that Lindy Chamberlain was a witch. Another rumour that gained some currency in Australia at the time was that the real culprit was the Chamberlains’ son, Aidan, and that his parents were covering up for his guilt.
The press appeared to seize upon any point that could be sensationalised. ***It was publicised that Lindy dressed her baby in black dresses.*** The dresses were indeed black, and were decorated with little blossoms, lace, and mauve ribbons, very much the height of fashion for little girls at that time

The case against Lindy Chamberlain - Wikipedia
Appeals
An appeal was made to the High Court in November 1983. Asked to quash the convictions on the ground that the verdicts were unsafe and unsatisfactory, in February 1984 the Court refused the appeal by majority. The mixed findings of the judges, however, gave encouragement to the Chamberlains’ supporters.
Release and acquittal
The final resolution of the case was triggered by a chance discovery.
In early 1986, English tourist David Brett fell to his death from Ayers Rock during an evening climb. Because of the vast size of the rock and the scrubby nature of the surrounding terrain, it was eight days before Brett’s remains were discovered, lying below the bluff where he had lost his footing, in an area full of dingo lairs. As police searched the area, looking for missing bones that might have been carried off by dingoes, they discovered a small item of clothing. It was quickly identified as the crucial missing piece of evidence from the Chamberlain case—Azaria’s missing matinée jacket.
The NT Chief Minister ordered Lindy’s immediate release, and the case was reopened. On September 15, 1988, the NT Court of Criminal Appeals unanimously overturned all convictions against Lindy and Michael Chamberlain. The exoneration was based on a rejection of the two key points of the prosecution’s case—particularly the alleged foetal haemoglobin evidence—and of bias and invalid assumptions made during the initial trial.
The questionable nature of the forensic evidence in the Chamberlain trial, and the weight given to it, raised concerns about such procedures and about expert testimony in criminal cases. The prosecution had successfully argued that the pivotal haemoglobin tests indicated the presence of fetal hemoglobin in the Chamberlains’ car, and that it was a significant factor in the original conviction. But it was later shown that these tests were highly unreliable, and that similar tests conducted on a ’sound deadener’ sprayed on during that manufacture of the car had yielded virtually identical results.
Two years after they were exonerated, the Chamberlains were awarded AU$1.3 million in compensation for wrongful imprisonment, a sum that covered approximately one quarter of their legal expenses.

Case against Lindy Chamberlain - from Wikipedia
The Crown alleged that Lindy Chamberlain had cut Azaria’s throat in the front seat of the family car, hiding the baby’s body in a large camera case. She then, according to the proposed reconstruction of the crime, rejoined the group of campers around a campfire and fed one of her sons a can of baked beans, before going to the tent and raising the cry that a dingo had taken the baby. It was alleged that at a later time, while other people from the campsite were searching, she disposed of the body.
The key evidence supporting this allegation was the jumpsuit, as well as a highly contentious forensic report claiming to have found evidence of fetal hemoglobin in stains on the front seat of the Chamberlains’ 1977 Torana hatchback. Fetal hemoglobin is present in infants six months and younger, and Azaria Chamberlain was nine weeks old at the time of her disappearance.
Lindy was questioned about the garments that the baby was wearing. She claimed that the baby was wearing a jacket over the jumpsuit, but the jacket was not present when the garments were found. She was questioned about the fact that the baby’s singlet, which was inside the jumpsuit, was inside out. She insisted that she never put a singlet on her babies inside out and that she was most particular about this. This statement conflicted with the state of the garments when they were collected as evidence. The garments had been arranged by the investigating officer for a photograph.
In her defence, eyewitness evidence was presented of dingos having been seen in the area on the evening of 17 August 1980. All witnesses claimed to believe the Chamberlains’ story. One witness, a nurse, also reported having heard a baby’s cry after the time when the prosecution alleged Azaria had been murdered. Evidence was also presented that adult blood also passed the test used for foetal haemoglobin, and that other organic compounds can produce similar results on that particular test, including mucous from the nose, and chocolate milkshakes, both of which had been present in the vehicle where the baby was allegedly murdered.
Engineer Les Harris, who had conducted dingo research for over a decade, said that, contrary to Cameron’s findings, a dingo’s carnassial teeth can shear through material as tough as motor vehicle seat belts. He also cited an example of a captive female dingo removing a bundle of meat from its wrapping paper and leaving the paper intact. His evidence was rejected, however.
Evidence to the effect that a dingo was strong enough to carry a kangaroo was also ignored. Also ignored was the removal of a three year old girl by a dingo from the back seat of a tourist’s motor vehicle at the camping area just weeks before, an event witnessed by the parents.
An aboriginal man gave evidence that his wife had tracked the dingo and found places where it had put the baby down, leaving the imprint of the baby’s clothing in the soil. This evidence was discounted, because the man spoke on behalf of his wife, but in the first person, according to Aboriginal custom.
The defence’s case was rejected by the jury. Lindy Chamberlain was convicted of murder on 29 October 1982 and sentenced to life imprisonment with hard labour. Michael Chamberlain was found guilty as an accessory to the murder, and was given an 18-month suspended sentence.

I KNOW the not knowing part is the most difficult thing to handle. All other things [even the slurs] aren’t important compared to that.
Closure how sad it might be, makes it possible to recover.
