Madeleine McCann: Kelsey Lynn Kudia For Hire, Paris Hilton And Propaganda
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE SUN front page: “’MADDIE’ FOR HIRE”
Tonight Kelsey Lynn Kudia is Madeleine McCann. Kelsey looks likes Madeleine McCann. She’s not in Morocco. She;s nopt Bouchra Benaissa. She not in Malta. But for the right fee she might be. Kelsey is a working Madeleine McCann double
Pages 4 and 5: “The boss of a lookalike agency who hopes to make a fortune out of a little Madeleine McCann double said last night: ‘It’s not sinister – it’s entertainment’. Shona Adams reckons three-year-old Kelsey Lynn Kudla’s similarity to missing Maddie could earn her £9MILLION for starring in a proposed feature film about the vanished tot”
Well, someone would have to play the missing child, unless she is found alive and well…
Says Shona, owner of London’s Juliet Adams Model Agency: “If the film about Madeleine is ever made, then the world is Kelsey’s oyster. If someone like Steven Spielberg made it, she could make £9million easily – of which I’d take 20 per cent. She will become a name in her own right and make it as a child model or actress because she’s got her foot in the door”
Just when you thought it was safe to holiday in Portugal…Dum-dum…
Of course, great acting careers have begun with less. Didn’t Tom Hanks play the baby in a Cry In The Dark?
She continues: “And from there, her earning potential is limitless. It’s not sinister. And if the McCanns are upset, there’s nothing they can do because it’s a democracy. I wouldn’t back away from it because, if a film is being made, then it’s entertainment”
Kate and Gerry McCann are “doctors”.
Says Shona: “I wouldn’t put Kelsey in a position of doing anything bad taste”
SLAP IN FACE FOR McCANNS: Sun columnist Lorraine Kelly says: “It makes you recoil to think a lookalike agency would have a Madeleine on their books alongside someone who looks like Jack Nicholson or Paris Hilton”
Whatever could she mean? Neither Nicolson nor Hilton were available to defend themselves…
DAILY EXPRESS: “The Madeleine lookalike on hire for £600 an hour”
Do you want to get your resort or country in the papers? Hire Kelsey to be a “Madeleine” and attract the world’s media to your locale as she is spotted time and time again
Kelsey is American
“PARENTS trying to ‘distract’ police
A source “close to the official police” investigation says: “Who do the McCanns think they are? The discovery of new witnesses in the last few weeks lead the authorities to believe they are at war with a gigantic propaganda machine. The McCanns have some very powerful people on their side - millionaires, celebrities, even politicians”
Says Robert Murat’s lawyer: “Robert Murat does not have millionaires supporting him, nor campaign funds. “He just wants to see his name cleared in this case as he has nothing to do with Madeleine’s disappearance, despite every day people emerging trying to forcibly incriminate him”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE – The £600 an hour lookalike”
Page 7: “MADDIE DOUBLE FOR HIRE”
“A sick mother is touting her daughter as a £600-an-hour Madeleine McCann lookalike,” says the paper, amid adverts for “adult fantasies”, “nasty sex” and FILTH”
She is an “unnamed American girl” - see the Sun above
Says Clarence Mitchell: “This is an offensive way to make money out of Madeleine’s disappearance. This is deeply offensive to parents Kate and Gerry”
MADDIE: THE MOVIE: “Yesterday, Channel 4’s head of documentaries Angus Macqueen said he had attended a meeting with the McCanns’ representatives to discuss a movie. He tells us: “Of course we are interested in making a film about this compelling story. We have a history of making quality films about crime matters”
That’s entertainment: “Meanwhile, producers of US psychic TV show Haunting Evidence have been in Praia da Luz planning their own show about Madeleine’s disappearance”
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns are ready to sack detective agency”
Says a source: “We will carry on the search for Madeleine, but not necessarily with Metodo 3. We are stuck with them to the end of the contracted period. The question of whether it is renewed or not has still to be decided. They have faced not having their contract renewed every since Francisco shot his mouth off… It was made clear what they were doing was foolish and unhelpful”
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “US TV psychics join hunt for Madeleine McCann”
“Three clairvoyants from the hit show will travel to Praia da Luz in a bid to find the missing four-year-old”
Come in Madeleine…
Kate and Gerry McCanns have received “1,500” offers from psychics hoping to find Madeleine. Like the Psychic Barber…
Says Clarence Mitchell: “We did receive an offer and chose on this occasion not to respond. We are grateful for any assistance they bring to bear in the hunt for finding Madeleine. We thank them for their concern and any demonstrably checkable fact is passed on to the police or the private detective agency”
Tune and pick up into Madeleine on the telly…

All persons close to a disappearance are suspect.
Especially parents and other family members.
But Official Suspect was taken because of not wanting to
answer Police questions.
Even if the Police put questions which may be accusatory…
that is their job….there is no reason on Earth where an
innocent person would not need to answer…”No…I had nothing
to do with it”.
Police interviews, by nature, sometimes have to be pretty strong.
They have to get to the truth in order to further their Investigation.
But truthful answers rarely get you into further trouble if you are
genuinely innocent.

It seem’s to me that every time the McCANN’S open their mouth by way of interview(magazine or from close family source) they dig the hole bigger, the VF interview spring’s to mind

Carmen:
The Sun newspaper controversy
On the Wednesday following the disaster, Kelvin MacKenzie, then editor of The Sun, a British tabloid newspaper with national distribution owned by Rupert Murdoch, used the front page headline ‘THE TRUTH’, with three sub-headlines: ‘Some fans picked pockets of victims’; ‘Some fans urinated on the brave cops’; ‘Some fans beat up PC giving kiss of life’.
The story accompanying these headlines claimed that ‘drunken Liverpool fans viciously attacked rescue workers as they tried to revive victims’ and ‘police officers, firemen and ambulance crew were punched, kicked and urinated upon’. A quote, attributed to an unnamed policeman, claimed that a dead girl had been abused and that Liverpool fans ‘were openly urinating on us and the bodies of the dead’.
In their history of The Sun, Peter Chippendale and Chris Horrie wrote:
‘As MacKenzie’s layout was seen by more and more people, a collective shudder ran through the office [but] MacKenzie’s dominance was so total there was nobody left in the organisation who could rein him in except Murdoch. [Everyone] seemed paralysed, “looking like rabbits in the headlights”, as one hack described them. The error staring them in the face was too glaring. It obviously wasn’t a silly mistake; nor was it a simple oversight. Nobody really had any comment on it—they just took one look and went away shaking their heads in wonder at the enormity of it. It was a “classic smear”.’
Following The Sun’s report, the newspaper was boycotted by most newsagents in Liverpool, with many refusing to stock the tabloid and large numbers of readers cancelling orders and refusing to buy from shops which did stock the newspaper. The Hillsborough Justice Campaign also organised a less-successful national boycott that still impacted the paper’s sales, which some commentators[11] have given as a cause for a constant drop in price, introduction of free magazines, videos and free soft porn DVDs offers.[12]

Money and/or sex are usually at the bottom of anything in life. It stems from the hunter gathering days doesn’t it?
Papers often try to reverse a wrong by taking sides. Call me cynical but the Sun and its reporters were persona non gratis in Liverpool for ages. I’m sure that it still is in some quarters.

Sorry to interfere, but there is the distance from the apartment to ‘The Tapas’, Gerry greatly underestimated the distance. I accept that it could be defended as an ‘underestimate’ but it might be argued that it was intended to reduce the negative impact of stating the actual distance?
Also the references to ’sedation’ by Gerry, I’m sure he would have had the children tested immediately if he had really thought that they had been sedated by a stranger.
That’s just two, I dont want to interfere too much

You dont have to be sorry to interfere mate. I’m only to pleased to discuss with yourself as your attitude has changed for the better recently IMO. Its just a shame there are still a few arrogant posters who do nothing more than bring the worst out in people.
Anyway back to your point.
Your firST reason I would agree with but I dont constitute that as a lie.
The second again isant a lie really is it. Lets be fair, I dont think the twins sleeping through all the mayhem would have been the most apparent thing to Gerry at that time. In hindsight however, and when the possibility of sedation by a kidnapper becomes increasingly likely he then ‘recalls’ the twins sleeping longer than normal. And of course he may have just said it to compound his theory of an abductor. I feel its a bit like Kate having a ‘hunch’ someone might have been watching them over the last couple of days or whatever. But anyway, its not a lie is it?

If you are genuine about wanting to know what may have happened
to your missing daughter, and wanted to help all you can in finding
her…..you help Police as much as is humanly possible. Sod the Lawyers
advice……daughter’s needs and situation are more important.
——
Matt,
Fortunatly, I can’t compare, because I WOULD HAVE NEVER AND HAVE NEVER left my daughter alone. Therefore, I would have not had the need to panic and make up timelines to cover my neglect, etc. I would have been innocent in that regard and therefore, yes, I would have co-operated with the police (initially). But, if for whatever reason the police than told me that I was a suspect, I would stop all co-operation and follow my lawyers advice.
I come from a country probably not dissimilar to Portugal (after all, we have same roots) and the police in my birth country has been accused of beatings, etc. to get people to confess. Therefore, if I was made a suspect, I would not co-operate because I would not trust them, knowing myself that I was innocent.

“Sorry, but I’m basing that remark about contamination from a published interview I read of an ex Scotland Yard Inspector, not from what the McCanns might be saying. I think it has been established that the scene was not secured by the PJ until much later and several people came and went from that apartment that night. Was there any blood? I don’t know that for sure. Was it Maddie’s? Could she have hurt herself accidentally whilst staying in PDL and like any normal housewife, the mother would have cleaned the bits of blood off the floor? You answer me.”
_____________________________________
First of all you said it was an ex Scotland Yard Inspector. Well that basically means he has no more information than you or I do. He can only be giving his opinion based on his prior career and not anything he knows about this case. I was formerly in the British military…it doesn’t mean I know what’s going on in the military today does it? Beware these so-called experts. If they aren’t connected directly with the case, ignore it…or attach the exact same importance to stories about blood/DNA/cadavers etc.
If Madeleine injured herself, why would the blood be so much that it seeped through cracks in the tile? Why didn’t the McCanns ever state this was the reason?
I’ve read stories of people in that room on the evening of May 3 and in one case I read someone mentioning looking under the bed. Come on…the bed is 2-3 inches off the floor. The crazy stories are so easily discredited with little more than common sense….including stories from the likes of former Plod. Look at the Channel 4 documentary. The 5 former plod got nowhere did they? If they had a brain, they’d have booked a week at Ocean Club and stayed there undercover to do a proper documentary. They didn’t…instead they looked at drains in the resort and told us all that the police may not have checked these “obvious” hiding places. It was absolute nonsense.

Also there are cases where some of the burden of proof may move over to the defence.
As I said in a previous post and you also stated, its a legal concept and we are not lawyers and shouldnt pretend to be lawyers!
Although I am just about to start my second year of law, I am a novice and my 4 decades or experience sometimes makes me think I know things about the law which I have just ‘assumed’ and I am finding I have to shelve my common sense (as the law is often an ass, as someone once said!).
I must admit I dont assume moral guilt or innocence - but I often know them when I see them!

I’ve only ever met nice Liverpudlians (and my Dad loves the city because he lived there in the 1960s ) - so I wont say anything against the place.
But if we were talking about clichés - Liverpool is known for the people being quite emotional when something terrible happens esp. involving children - so I was surprised that the English stiff upper lip was trotted out as an explanation for Kate not crying.
I wouldn’t expect Gerry to cry - but if he was true to Glasgow’s cliché he would be in a rage.
