Am convinced any film deal will be held up until Amelie can take on the role (with approriate fees controlled by her devoted parents). After all the poor little thing was dressed in her ‘lost’ sister’s clothes within weeks.
These people are so vile and ridiculous that they are in danger of simply becoming complete parodies - except for M still being missing it would all just be the most amazing joke.

Reminds me of a really good Swiss friend who came over here with hardly any English. On her first office evening out (quite formal) she announced that she would like the ’screwed prawns’ -
sadly all the restaurant could offer were scewered prawns.

Am relieved to read what you say, Watcher.
It reassures me that the current spin in tonight’s papers about criminals having approached a lawyer on 6th May 2007 to announce the horrible demise and burial in a reservoir of poor Madeleine is just that - spin.
Another ploy to waste police time dragging the waters. Perhaps they will ignore it for the fiction it is, since why would the said criminals not inform the police or ensure any more positive steps were taken. The reward for info was pretty tempting.

Well, Clarence was quoted today as being very annoyed re the lookalike story.
Thought it was disgraceful that any one could possibly think of making money
from that.
He forgot to mention that the “starlet” in their film would be making money
from it.
Funny standards our Clarrie has. Might even say they were double.

My Dutch mother-in-law’s english was good but her pronunciation could be hilarious and Old Smuddy has fond memories of being sent off on his first camping holiday with his mum shouting from the back door: “‘Arre yoo shhoore you hev oooorll yoor tampax?”(Are you sure you have all your tent pegs?”)
If you don’t know the dutch accent, it won’t be funny, but surely Totje will see why it’s funny? Ihope so.

Re not proven rule. Whilst I understand what you mean by…it could be unfair to the innocent ones etc. That also holds true for all the guilty ones that get off. Two way street? I do think though that the law is possibly fairer to the (alledgedly) guilty one. Possibly because the case must be (really) proved beyond (any reasonable) doubt.
