Madeleine McCann: The Gardener Questioned, Marcos Correia Cries Rape And Kelsey Lynn Kudla Says
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE: BRITISH ODD-JOB MAN QUIZZED”
A new suspect?
“An anonymous email sent to Portuguese detectives claimed that Daniel Groom was spotted lurking in an alley close to the McCanns’ apartment on the night Madeleine vanished”
The paper says he looks not too unlike the man seen walking from the holiday complex holding a child. You know, that man with no face…
Says Mr Groom: “I think I am being framed. I am the victim of a smear campaign by someone with a grudge against me… During the week two detectives had arrived in town and begun asking friends about my whereabouts. I rang them after they left a message with a friend. I met them in a car park in Praia da Luz… They were two detectives from the Lisbon area, a good cop and a bad cop. One guy was quite small and smoked a cigar. The other guy was really fat, wore girly sunglasses and kept looking around him all the time”
A good cop? We know all about the bad cops (see the Sun). But this good cop..?
They showed him the email. It went:
“Is it a coincidence that this man started working as a gardener in the area and a child went missing?
“Maybe he walked through the car park at the front of the McCanns’ apartment and a little way down the dark alley between the two buildings where he could see and probably hear that the McCanns were there.
“After that maybe he listened at the window of the McCanns’ apartment for any sign that someone such as a babysitter was there. No television…nothing.
“Did this man initially see the McCanns and Madeleine whilst working on an empty apartment/villa and note that the children were left alone? Did he then come back to watch the McCanns when it was dark and not during daylight hours?”
This is front-page news…
Says Groom: “After a few minutes they said they thought it was all b******t. They said if they needed to talk to me again they would, but they thought they were barking up the wrong tree”
A gardening joke to end. Mr Groom may survive his ordeal
“KEEP LOOKING FOR HER, BEGS GRANDAD” – Says Brian Healey: “There has been so much that has been said and written, much of it untrue and hurtful, but so often it seems to me as if the only really important person in all this has been forgotten – and that’s Madeleine”
Indeed. ‘Nuff said…
“Some people don’t seem to want to know about the real Kate”
As we say, ‘nuff said…
THE SUN: “’Paedo dumped Maddie in lake’”
“MADELEINE McCann was raped and killed within 48 hours of being snatched then thrown in a reservoir, a Portuguese lawyer claimed yesterday. Human rights solicitor Marcos Aragao Correia said underworld sources tipped him off on May 6, three days after the tot vanished in Praia da Luz”
May 6?
Correia says he told the police. He then told Metodo 3, the McCanns’ private detectives. Correia says Madeleine’s body was in a reservoir with a small beach and showers for campers, late identified as the Barragem do Arade reservoir
Remerb when X marked the spot - “Vermoedelijke Vindplaats”
“KATE dad: Back off my daughter” – Says Brian Healy: “Some people don’t seem to want to know about the real Kate. She is such a warm and caring person, as well as being intelligent. But you can’t win because people say, ‘He would say that, he’s her father’”
Why would we care? A child is missing, why is it important we like Kate McCann?
“READERS in fury at ’sick stunt’”
“SUN readers bombarded our MySun discussion forums yesterday to vent their disgust following our revelations that an agency is ready to hire out a Maddie lookalike”
“LOOKALIKE mum: Let us help” – “The tearful mum of a tiny lookalike who hopes to play Madeleine McCann in a film insisted last night: ‘We only want to help’. American Kris Pfister, whose three-year-old Kelsey Lynn Kudla bears a stunning resemblance to the missing tot, added: “I feel for Maddie’s family — I am on their team”
Well, no, you’re not. But you are in the papers. Fame beckons? Tonight, Matthew, I’m going to be…
Quote of the week: “Since people started telling her she looked like Maddie, Kelsey’s been following the news. She cries when she hears she’s still missing. When we read there may be a documentary or film on the hunt, she said, ‘Mummy, I could play Madeleine. I look just like her’”
Here’s Kels-seeeey. (Come, on, Kelsey, you’re on… Smile!)
“People say that I look like Maddie. She lost her mummy and daddy. I want to help bring her home”
DAILY STAR: “MADDIE WAS ‘SNATCHED AND MURDERED’”
“Madeleine McCann was abducted, raped, murdered and thrown in a reservoir, a lawyer claimed last night”
It’s Marcos Correia again. Who told him? He will not say. But the paper notes: “He spent three weeks at the reservoir with investigators from the McCanns’ Metodo 3 agency. Last night he called on the police to search it extensively”
They have done. You can read about it here
Are these underworld figures known to Antonio Toscano?
DAILY MAIL: “Madeleine was ‘raped, murdered - and then dumped in reservoir’”
“Underworld criminals contacted a human rights lawyer on May 6, three days after the girl vanished, with details of her alleged abduction and murder, he said. But when Marcos Aragao Correia tried to tell police, he was ignored, he added”
Or not. The reservoir was searched
“PORTUGUESE police ‘want to keep Madeleine file secret for another three months’”
Says Clarence Mitchell the couple’s spokesman: “We are disappointed, but not surprised given that the police are still investigating.
“We had expected this request, however our lawyers will be examining it and once again we would urge the police to come over and interview who they want to.
“DEATH threats for woman hiring out Madeleine lookalikes” - Shona Juliet-Adams, owner of Juliet Adams Modelling and Talent Casting Agency, says: “”I have had threatening phone calls and death threats. I am not speaking to anybody until I have spoken to the police about my security - I received death threats”
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “McCanns suffer ‘almost inhumane’ police delay”
Kate and Gerry McCann could remain official suspects in their daughter’s disappearance for “several more months”
Clarence Mitchell says: “This is extremely disappointing. We will continue to co-operate with the Portuguese police, of course. However, the delay in resolving the case and eliminating Gerry and Kate is now becoming almost inhumane”
“BAD taste jokes need time to be funny” - An interactive humour survey at the Science Museum’s Dana centre in central London. Only seven per cent of the audience felt that a joke about Bhutto’s death was funny or amusing and only 31 per cent felt humour involving the McCanns was appropriate”
A Joke: “Dr Harold Shipman’s last meal was a curry. He said he enjoyed it but he could have murdered a nan”
FOX NEWS (USA): “Report: Agency Worker Receives Death Threats Over Madeleine McCann Look-Alikes”
“Shona Juliet-Adams, 41, whose agency offers the look-alikes for about $1,174 an hour, said she has been receiving ‘threatening phone calls and death threats’”

Apparently not dumping ones tiny defenceless children in an apartment and going for drinkies and being concerned that others - supposedly trusted medics - do just that, is being self righteous and judgemental!
We are suppoosed to put up and shut up? Dear me, what would a world be like if we were all to not challenge such awful behaviour!
+++++++++++++
Ian… you’re a numpty!
The McCann’s sycophants have admitted to their error in leaving the children, but not the McCann’s themselves in clear and unequivocal terms. Now that their mistake has been admitted to can we get on with trying to find the predatory paedophile that watched the family for nearly an entire week before snatching Madeleine from her bed while she slept…

Personally I’d go back and protect her by being with her.
I must admit it would be great to be able to go back and prevent the McCanns from ‘making their mistakes’ wouldnt it.

___________
You name one poster on here - pro, anti or just plain not prejuding - who has said they are not guilty of neglect? All have always agreed they are guilty of neglect beyond a doubt it is the other issues some don’t agree with and it is their right not to agree and set forth their viewpoints.
++++++++++++++++
I’m more interested in the subtle change of emphasis that follows that admission. Feel free to name people yourself, it’s not something I personally feel the need to do.

Conclusion: I am not sure at this stage if the parents actually harmed the child the day in question or if the child had an accident and then they allegedly engaged in a cover-up. I find it hard to believe.
I have also said, after someone challenged me some days ago, that I would be the first one to apologize in this forum if in the end it is proven that the parents are in fact guilty of all the alleged crimes. I don’t know the truth and neither does anybody else in this forum.
____________
Daisy, you would actually apologize because you had your own thoughts and theories on what may have or not have happened? Do you actually think anyone anti on here would apologize if they were wrong in their theories? I’ll bet you money, Daisy, having watched and carefully read all put on here even if they are not charged the rant will go on to persecute them as long as they live. Isnt Vegemite and Marmite basically the same thing? I used to work at the Guinness brewerey, and some of the waste product is sent away to make Marmite, hence the black colour.
—-
SteveT,
the taste and colour (and even the packaging) is very similar, but Marmite is based on beef extract and Vegemite is concentrated yeast extract. The brewery by-product was probably used in Vegemite, maybe also in Marmite. Vegemite is an Aussie invention, although it is now owned by Kraft.

We seem to have entered a new phase where there are repeated admission of guilt re neglect (not that you’ll ever hear that direct and unequivocally from the sainted ones themselves), allied to claims of panic and confusion in the immediate aftermath of the alleged abduction. This panic and confusion is now being used as a cover in an attempt to explain away some seemingly “odd” actions/statements of the McCann’s? Just my opinion of course.
————————————————-
Yep. That takes us back to the attempt on the mirror forum to find a form of words which would convince people that G&K really were sorry for what they had done.
It also takes us to at least Gerry, with Clarrie sitting alongside him, trying to retrofit the disclosure about Madeleine’s eye to much later on. That stems, I think, from the point that police forces around the world believe that action to have been fatal if there really had been an abductor.
Gerry, of course, tried to slide that one as the alleged abductor doing something to Madeleine’s eye…
The Vanity Fair interviewer appears to have been unaware that it had gone up within hours on the BBC website.

Yes….all those weird attributed quotes re what she apparently said.
In the house….but not part of the interview.
Yet well enough to go out to church alone.
Seems that either Dr G P and Clarence are very unsure of her possible
responses to questions….and are virtually gagging her.
Or….perhaps she is not co-operating regarding the interview.
Perhaps the atmosphere within Orchard House is very tense between
family mambers and asplit is beginning to show.

Chenier,
How mistaken you are! I have many times (maybe you haven’t cared to read them) posted about them (the parents) not telling the truth about certain things. But I do make a division between the neglect aspect of the case and the disappearance itself. I’m not deflecting attention; to be honest, I couldn’t care less to try and convince any of you of anything. I’m merely putting some other perspective to this case, one that some of you don’t agree with and that’s fine with me.
On the other hand, unless there is a good story to be discussed here, several anti-McCanns find it amusing to bombard others who might be sitting on the fence or who might be pro-McCann with silly comments that are of a personal or character nature. Not good, in my humble opinion.
————————————-
I’m not mistaken, Daisy.
I haven’t ignored your posts and I specifically noted that you have posted at length on the parent’s neglect. After all, leaving small children alone for lengthy periods of time is by definition neglect.
Had the McCanns not behaved in a way in which you say they subsequently lied about, there would not have been the opportunity to abduct Madeleine.
No rational person could draw a distinction between the neglect aspect and the alleged abduction aspect. The former allegedly provided the opportunity for the latter.
And I note that you still haven’t expressed any comment on the story, so presumably you feel that you have said all that is needed to be said about it.
Which is remarkably odd coming from someone who professes to care about Madeleine’s fate.
And I don’t suggest that you are trying to convince me of anything; your approach appears to be a generalised spray of whitewash whenever the McCanns are mentioned as responsible for anything more than a tragic mistake which they deeply regret…
—-
Chenier,
Yes, you are mistaken. I have said numerous times that the parents enabled the disapperance to happen. But the actual disapperance is what I question. I have also stated my theory of the possibility of an abductor as well as accidental death. I have also said many times that I’m trying to look beyond the case itself and the Bigger Picture, as I called it. I have also speculated on blackmail, etc.

I was reading through the Vanity Fair article again.
Was struck by the fact that Dr K was not part of the interview.
No direct questions nor answers attributed to her as far as I can see.
Only quotes about her quotes from Corner and others.
Only reference made regarding Dr K’s presence was to say that
Dr K went off out to Church.
Very strange…only Dr G P interviewed in the house…with Clarence
sitting alongside.
——————————————————
Taken together with the ‘incadescent rage’ it doesn’t look good for Kate, does it.
Even the time machine thing suggests, slightly more subtly, that’s she’s bonkers; surely anyone who had lost someone they loved would roll back time to save them.
‘‘I wish I could roll back time and go back to the day before Madeleine was abducted. I would slow down time. I would get a really good look around and have a really good think. And I’d think: Where are you? Who are you? Who is secretly watching my family? Because someone was watching my family very, very carefully. And taking notes.’ ”
Seriously, seriously strange…

Yes i tried the nicotene patches and the gum and failed miserably :sob: . I will try again soon as i really need to quit. Thanks for your support - i may have to go back to alan carrs easy clinic which i’ve tried before and was successful for 8 years - why oh why did i start again???
anyway not hanging around today as it seems to have become a bit like a childrens playground with all that ‘not speaking to you’ ‘you’re lying’ posts flying around.
It always seems to happen when certain posters are around and i believe that is what they are here to do (for whatever reason). hopefully it will be a more interesting week this week - someone posted earlier that there are rumours that the pj flew back to the uk today - so you never know - might have a bit more to discuss.
Happy sleuthing all
