Och! Well that would be why she (Frances Shand-Wotzits) was found dead alone at her home on Seil Island, Argyll.
It is not recorded if there was a butler with a notebook and diary handy but she allegedly did have more than one empty bottle of London Dry Gin about the place. Would that have made her the drunken mother of a whore or grandmother of the future King (William, or failing that, the first reserve our ‘Arry)?
The second would put her on a par with Good Queen Lillibet ll wouldn’t it?
I also seem to remember a similar accusation re sexual freedoms being made against the Queen’s sister: one Princess Margaret, also deceased. Nice to know One’s Family is as dysfunctional as the rest of us commoners.
