AS Gawker head Nick Denton notes, the video of Tom Cruise preaching about Scientology has been on the web for a while. It is the Sun’s “Cruise’s oddball cult rant”.
But it has been removed from YouTube.
You can watch it hereunder, for now:
Given that religionists make videos of heads being lopped off, is this so bad? Let’s ask the guys in the white vans…

Cruise is a complete whacko on this one, and not comprehensible - I had no idea what he was talking about or trying to say. Hey, Cruise, if you want to do “good” in this world, then give all your money away to folks. And that’s the gist of the draw to Scientology isn’t it - that one does “good” by getting folks to “know” (whatever the heck that means) without having to give a single dollar away to, say, the poor (as is heavily suggested in Christianity). No wonder Cruise loves this “religion.” And on that point, Scientology is NOT a religion, it is a CULT. They worship their leader like a god, as Hubbard has required and as every cult leader requires (Scientologists-nutjobs call him “the Source” — give me a break!). They harrass people that are “attacking” them. Their entire life belief system revolves around the beliefs created of their leader, which, as is typical of a cult, require Scientologists to worship Hubbard (unlike Christianity’s free will way to bring you to the love of God, which requires faith and personal decency towards others, not this spreading the “know” crap that Scientologists throw out there). Like a cult, it is completely selfish within itself and selfish in its actions towards others. Finally, Scientologists believe that getting to the state of the “know”, they achieve complete truth. Ya, that’s just like any cult’s “we’re right and you’re wrong” philosophy

“The church isn’t doing a damn thing!”
Wow, Dave seems to know what the Scientologists are doing but he does’nt seem to proud to be one.
The scieno’s are really invading all the blogs today and trying to talk this thing down, it’s
easy to pick them out by their talking points like “get a life, who cares, scientology is no different that any other religion”.

Bizarre! For all the babble Tom Cruise has said, I am still none the wiser as to what ‘meassage’ he is trying to spread about Scientology. No doubt he donates vast amounts of cash and they make him feel real good about himself.

Tom Criuse reveals himself as being a surprisingly inarticulate person and very intense when speaking about Scientology on this video. His conversation about his beliefs fails to explain in an intelligent and simple manner exactly how being a scientologist can bring about great changes in your life or improve the world.
Yes, its true that there is certainly a lot more to learn about Scientology but Cruise during this video seems to be doing a good job of convincing himself about the “wonders” of his religion but doesn’t remotely hit the target when trying to convince others.
Tom if your one of the world’s highest paid actors you won’t get an Academy Award for this performance.

It’s crazy how the press has jumped all over this! Do a search on Google News for “Scientology” and there are hundreds of articles about this one little video clip.
The headlines are all saying that it’s been leaked, that the church is engaged in a furious bid to get it taken offline. It’s nonsense!! The church isn’t doing a damn thing! Youtube always removes stuff it thinks might be copyrighted.
There’s not even anything sensational about this video; it’s just a guy who happens to be famous, talking about his religion. If it was some other Scientologist no-one would care. This isn’t news about some amazing leaked video which the church is trying to supress, it’s just another chance to mock Tom Cruise.
It’s about as interesting as Britney Spears drunken antics. If she wasn’t who she is, who the hell would care about a drunken mother who loses custody of her kids?! This isn’t news, it’s pathetic. Give us something worth reading!!

Cruise is definately a nut job. This guy has lost his mind. Hubbard sure did a good job on him. Totally brainwashed and brain dead. He is not worth listening to. Nothing he says makes any sense. I will probably never be as rich or as powerful as this wanker…but I will always have my brain and rational thought to choose my destiny. Cruise has lost his.

Of course the flaw in my argument is that he doesn’t think he’s make-believing.

I don’t see what’s so wrong with being delusional - it’s not as if he murders people.
I got a Fairy Magic book for Christmas and I will be in the woods searching for them because it’s fun to make-believe.

he keeps droning on about “going for it” and “doing it”, but what exactly is “it”? poor sod, full of his own righteousness and arrogance…. love the bit where he says that he would love to go on holiday but he can’t……?????? bananas

what a load of old bollocks

He certainly is taken by himself, probably practiced in front of a mirror for hours. Just one question: What exactly do you do to make this world a better place? From the video we see you have traveled and met various religious leaders, all well and good, but what have you done. You sound like the character Cramer in Seinfeld, when asked what does he do he replied “I’m doing what I do”.

The video is hardly a “rant”, but is as Penster so rightly points out “extremely boring”. I didn’t watch it to the end - sorry Tom.

The power of celebrity - If you post it, they will come

Removed from Youtube because it’s extremely boring?
