Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann’s Message And McCann Posters For Mari Cortes Luz
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS: “I feel your pain – Kate’s note to kidnap parents”
Kate McCann has delivered a “heartfelt message of support” to the parents of missing girl Mari Luz Cortes
Writes Kate, a “GP”: “I feel your pain, as parents we know what you’re going through…I am praying that Mari Luz is found quickly, safe and well”
Not that it’s all about the McCanns, a Maddy 2. Although: Says Juan Jose Cortes, Mari’s father: “Only now I understand what Madeleine McCann’s parents are suffering”
Neither Mr Cortes nor his wife are named suspects in their child’s disappearance
The McCanns have offered to equip posters of Madeleine with a shot of Mari – 12,000 of them are to be put up in Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands
Mr Cortes says thank you but “We don’t feels strong enough to make a decision”
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “The posters could lead to vital clues in both cases. Mari Luz’s face would sit along Madeleine’s… We just want to help”
Help who?
DAILY STAR: “’I KNOW THE PAIN YOU ARE FEELING’”
“Madeleine McCann’s mum has told the parents of a child feared snatched by the same abductor: ‘I feel your pain.’ GP Kate, 39, sent her words of comfort to the parents of five-year-old Mari Luz Cortes when the McCanns’ private detectives met them to investigate links between the two cases”
How did the papers come to know of this message, and how can knowing help either child?
“POLICE reject claims of link” – Portuguese police do not “believe” there is a link between Mari and Madeleine
Kate McCann is a “GP”
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns comfort lost girl’s parents”
Kate McCann has sent an “emotional message” to the parents of Mari Luz Cortes
THE McCanns will have to wait until September this year to discover why they were made suspects
THE MIRROR: “KATE’S PRAYER OF HOPE”
“I FEEL YOUR PAIN – Kate’s message to parents of missing Spanish girl Mari”
Reports are that police are seeking a “local sex pest” in Huelva
“70,000..the number of kids under 16 that go missing in the UK every year. Only 10 per cent vanish for more than five days”
Any more room on those posters? How are they remembered?
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “McCanns tell lost girl’s parents: We feel for you”
Says a friend of Mari’s parents, Irene a
nd Juan Jose Cortes: “They have been touched by the fact someone who is going through her own turmoil can find the strength to think of their moment of need”

Daily Mirror to its knees
The British newspaper Daily Mirror, following a record number of complaints to the oversight agency media today published a correction to its article on the Portuguese ambassador in London, and his statements about the case Madeleine.
The Mirror was obliged by the monitoring committee to publish this correction in the paper and internet following several hundred complaints against the xenophobic and defamatory of an article signed by Tony Parsons, known for his connections to the right English.
Stephen Abell, Deputy Director and spokesman for the Committee recognized that it is in the article that prompted the most complaints and reactions to this day. Among these complaints, the majority from Portuguese citizens, there was also the formal protest of the Ambassador Antonio Santana Carlos.
The article by Tony Parsons, “Up Yours, senor,” the ambassador accused of being behind the bad situation of Luso-British relations to proceed McCann, calling the diplomat “stupid” and mangeur de sardines. ” Following the intervention of the commission, Tony Parsons was also obliged to send a personal letter of apology to the ambassador, irrespective of the correction of the newspaper.
Carlos Santana has already considered the decision of the Commission of Control of Media as a “balanced, given the way work as usual British media.”
The Mirror was already known in 2004, having published false pictures of acts of torture by British soldiers in Iraq, but in the case of McCann, the newspaper was particularly illustrated by articles critical of the police Portuguese favorable to the parents of Madeleine, signed by Lori Campbell, the journalist who first had accused Robert Murat of involvement in the disappearance of the small British.

”In this connection it is pertinent to highlight Gerry’s contention that he was told by the police child neglect would not be a problem for him. I think he was told this by someone(non-police), in order to convince him to lie about the children being alone. Heavily in all respects this is just speculation, though.”
So was he told this by the police or non police?

Interesting stuff. It just highlights, only a daily basis, just how very little we know. Just when you think you have some idea, up pops another snippet of information. Infuriating. Are we, then, just being invited to join a merry dance by the media?

I hope the Portuguese hound Tony Parsons till he apologises. It’s not just that the British press have been slagging off the PJs - they have been out right racist. Very embarrassing.

Yesterday (I think) there was a cross posting from the mirror forum about this and the Mirror (I think, again) had checked this with HMG and got the answer the letters have not been sent. I’ll try to find the link again.

it didn’t say the letters hadn’t been sent, that was how the mirror forum interpreted it.

The protocol also gives Eurojust a role in seeking “practical solutions” if one member state refuses to cooperate with a request for legal or police assistance from another. The protocol will have to be ratified by national parliaments in the member states.
no idea what the protocol is though, or whether it was ratified or not.

Re McCann’s “offer” to add Mari’s pic to their Madeleine Poster’s…
“”"”Mr Cortes says “Thank you but we don’t feels strong enough to make a decision””"”
So that is how the Spanish for “Feck Off, McCann’s”…is translated into English.
I learn something every single day.

it was team mccann that said bedclothes hadnt been undone yet pictures contradict this unless a highly educated woman who believed her daughter was kidnapped by peados didnt realise that her room would become a crime scene, and tossed the bed in a manic search for maddie while scrubbing the room

157 Robert– “There is another factor, that you can find right at the top of the ANORAK Madeleine McCann page”
I messed up the bold print. So it might have been confusing what factor I was referring to. So I will re-do it.
—————————-
‘Madeleine McCann’
Madeleine McCann: The story of a missing girl, her parents Kate McCann and Gerry McCann, Robert Murat and paedophilia as told by the British press.
January 18th, 2008 | Opinions? : Add your view now! | In: Madeleine McCann
—————————–
But I emphasize that I am only citing an ANORAK website passage. And you can see from my comments in 157 that the issue is complicated. Also, afterwards I noticed that others are coincidentally referring to the report of 7 children being in one room.
Still, a question is, if the McCanns did not leave their children alone, why are they willing to lie and say that they did?
In this connection it is pertinent to highlight Gerry’s contention that he was told by the police child neglect would not be a problem for him. I think he was told this by someone(non-police), in order to convince him to lie about the children being alone. Heavily in all respects this is just speculation, though.
