Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann’s Message And McCann Posters For Mari Cortes Luz
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS: “I feel your pain – Kate’s note to kidnap parents”
Kate McCann has delivered a “heartfelt message of support” to the parents of missing girl Mari Luz Cortes
Writes Kate, a “GP”: “I feel your pain, as parents we know what you’re going through…I am praying that Mari Luz is found quickly, safe and well”
Not that it’s all about the McCanns, a Maddy 2. Although: Says Juan Jose Cortes, Mari’s father: “Only now I understand what Madeleine McCann’s parents are suffering”
Neither Mr Cortes nor his wife are named suspects in their child’s disappearance
The McCanns have offered to equip posters of Madeleine with a shot of Mari – 12,000 of them are to be put up in Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands
Mr Cortes says thank you but “We don’t feels strong enough to make a decision”
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “The posters could lead to vital clues in both cases. Mari Luz’s face would sit along Madeleine’s… We just want to help”
Help who?
DAILY STAR: “’I KNOW THE PAIN YOU ARE FEELING’”
“Madeleine McCann’s mum has told the parents of a child feared snatched by the same abductor: ‘I feel your pain.’ GP Kate, 39, sent her words of comfort to the parents of five-year-old Mari Luz Cortes when the McCanns’ private detectives met them to investigate links between the two cases”
How did the papers come to know of this message, and how can knowing help either child?
“POLICE reject claims of link” – Portuguese police do not “believe” there is a link between Mari and Madeleine
Kate McCann is a “GP”
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns comfort lost girl’s parents”
Kate McCann has sent an “emotional message” to the parents of Mari Luz Cortes
THE McCanns will have to wait until September this year to discover why they were made suspects
THE MIRROR: “KATE’S PRAYER OF HOPE”
“I FEEL YOUR PAIN – Kate’s message to parents of missing Spanish girl Mari”
Reports are that police are seeking a “local sex pest” in Huelva
“70,000..the number of kids under 16 that go missing in the UK every year. Only 10 per cent vanish for more than five days”
Any more room on those posters? How are they remembered?
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “McCanns tell lost girl’s parents: We feel for you”
Says a friend of Mari’s parents, Irene a
nd Juan Jose Cortes: “They have been touched by the fact someone who is going through her own turmoil can find the strength to think of their moment of need”

Yeah, the Church isn’t evil (anymore - mostly).

It’s because Catholics see Communion as the culmination of their unity in Christ rather than something to bond believers (or something like that?). I don’t know what Christ would think.

Well, you certainly should be concerned about who you see about your heart condition. Even for mildly invasive investigative procedures such as cardiac angiography (contrast outlining of the vessels in the heart) , there is a documented death rate and I have personally experienced the death of at least one such patient on the table during the procedure. So you really do not want to just be grateful and accept anyone, unless you are on a desert island with only one cardiologist. Even then, no cardiologist might be better than an incapable one!

The barmy brigade know who they are, people who convict people without evidence are about as sensible as a chocolate teapot.

The police serve 25 years (I believe). If they get the boot before that time they lose all their pension too…..I understand.
Does this not apply to others working within the area to where we pay our taxes as well?

Thanks - the GMC (which I have not appeared before) has considerably greater powers than the Law Society, RICS, ICA, the SFA and the regulatory bodies of all sorts of professions whose members make a lot more than your humble doctors.
Whywould anyone bother to become a doctor - no pay to speak of, decline respect and a lengthy training period
===============================
Well, the ones that I am familiar with did so because they wanted an intellectually stimulating way to help others.
Of course, I am aware that a number of people do so for other reasons, though perhaps less so than in the past…

Well, a patient could refuse consultations by GM, but he could be given a job reporting on heart scans, which could be a backroom job, and the patient really wouldn’t know who had read the scan unless they saw a signed copy of the report. The patient could then ask that the scan be re-reported on, but then the hospital would probably refer the patient back to their GP who could then refer elsewhere. I was under the impression that GM was actually not seeing patients personally at the moment anyway. I would be surprised if he was.

This May 6 article from the BBC about Mark Warner’s baby/child care services at the Ocean Club location does not include any mention of baby monitors or baby listening services (performed by humans).

I would have thought that half the fun of going on oliday with your kids is having the time with them. If you want to listen to them on radio wait until they are grown up and get them an equity card…

Shipman was a world class serial killer on any iew, just as the IRA were a truly first rank terrorist outfit - considerably more competent than the present shower of fourth rate islamist pretenders that we now see “in-action” .
Yet, as is the curse of us British, we never give our world class performers the recognition that they desire.
For the avoidance of doubt, Old HSS in no way condones terrorist outrages or mass murder - even old HSS draws the line well before the same what what

Sally, I take your point. However, to be honest, if I had a dickie heart and I needed help, I wouldn’t be too fussed about the doctor.
****
I think you should be fussed about who your doctor is–unless it’s an outright emergency heart attack. Getting the right doctor makes all the difference. If you don’t like the doctor, that alone can make you unconsciously sicker.

“”"”"Dr Harold Shipman, the GP jailed for killing 15 patients, has been struck off by
his local health authority and stripped of his salary.
West Pennine Health Authority seized advantage of new regulations, announced
in the Commons by Health Secretary Alan Milburn, allowing it to strike a
convicted murderer off its medical list.”"”"”
And then the GMC were forced to act….from embarrassment no doubt.

I really don’t know…. but MW said they provided local monitors because of the lack of electrical compatability in Portugal?
But then they also said the McCanns were offered the baby sitting service but THEN said it wasn’t available at that resort that week. (quiet time for hols/staff shortages)
As I said, I’m certain they weren’t all in the same room anyway but who knows? everything changes depending on the latest chinese whispers.
I see it as absolutely EVERYONE who was in the vicinity that week covering their backsides in advance!! Just in case.
