Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann’s Message And McCann Posters For Mari Cortes Luz
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS: “I feel your pain – Kate’s note to kidnap parents”
Kate McCann has delivered a “heartfelt message of support” to the parents of missing girl Mari Luz Cortes
Writes Kate, a “GP”: “I feel your pain, as parents we know what you’re going through…I am praying that Mari Luz is found quickly, safe and well”
Not that it’s all about the McCanns, a Maddy 2. Although: Says Juan Jose Cortes, Mari’s father: “Only now I understand what Madeleine McCann’s parents are suffering”
Neither Mr Cortes nor his wife are named suspects in their child’s disappearance
The McCanns have offered to equip posters of Madeleine with a shot of Mari – 12,000 of them are to be put up in Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands
Mr Cortes says thank you but “We don’t feels strong enough to make a decision”
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “The posters could lead to vital clues in both cases. Mari Luz’s face would sit along Madeleine’s… We just want to help”
Help who?
DAILY STAR: “’I KNOW THE PAIN YOU ARE FEELING’”
“Madeleine McCann’s mum has told the parents of a child feared snatched by the same abductor: ‘I feel your pain.’ GP Kate, 39, sent her words of comfort to the parents of five-year-old Mari Luz Cortes when the McCanns’ private detectives met them to investigate links between the two cases”
How did the papers come to know of this message, and how can knowing help either child?
“POLICE reject claims of link” – Portuguese police do not “believe” there is a link between Mari and Madeleine
Kate McCann is a “GP”
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns comfort lost girl’s parents”
Kate McCann has sent an “emotional message” to the parents of Mari Luz Cortes
THE McCanns will have to wait until September this year to discover why they were made suspects
THE MIRROR: “KATE’S PRAYER OF HOPE”
“I FEEL YOUR PAIN – Kate’s message to parents of missing Spanish girl Mari”
Reports are that police are seeking a “local sex pest” in Huelva
“70,000..the number of kids under 16 that go missing in the UK every year. Only 10 per cent vanish for more than five days”
Any more room on those posters? How are they remembered?
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “McCanns tell lost girl’s parents: We feel for you”
Says a friend of Mari’s parents, Irene a
nd Juan Jose Cortes: “They have been touched by the fact someone who is going through her own turmoil can find the strength to think of their moment of need”

In that article it says “‘You calculate the risk, but it is so minute that you are prepared to take it. Of course there is a risk of a freak occurrence, but you don’t live your life worrying about a freak occurrence.”
How goofy is that comment? The word “risk” shouldn’t even come into it. There should be zero risk beyond what is normal. It isn’t normal to leave 2 and 3yr olds alone so there should be no calculation of risk. If you have to perform a calculation at all then there’s something wrong.

I suppose it’s interesting that the PJs were lax.
But I still don’t see what checking every half hour was supposed to do if one of the kids had fallen or choked 2 minutes after the McCanns were back in the restaurant?

The barmy brigade know who they are, people who convict people without evidence are about as sensible as a chocolate teapot.

So where does the Stephen Lawrence case fit into that scheme of thinking? Where does the drugged up St Helens granny fit into that scheme of thinking? And worse still - where do those two “convicted on evidence” bastards fit into it after killing James Bulger?
Your black and white thought process is about as sensible as your chocolate teapot.

502 Logic says
A heart consultant does not necessarily “see” the pt. They look at all the reports and give advice, the pt already has a Cardiologist and the Cardiologist would like another opinion (for whatever reason) so then aheart consultant is consulted. At least that is what a consultant does in the USA, they are not considered a referral. A referral is a visit to or from another Dr. I would not feel safe in gmc’s consultation as I previously stated. IMHO IMHO IMHO

Being that this a slow news day, I hope you won’t mind me posting another article about the Ocean Club stay with Mark Warners. This one was published May 9, 2007, and was written by Andrew Oxlade, a father who stayed with his family at Praia de Luz at the same time as the McCanns (and also the editor of This is Money where the article was published):
My experience of Maddie’s resort in Praia de Luz, the Algarve

Basically, your paragraph there is an ethics code. The NHS is a law unto themselves though and ethics codes are only as good as the policing of them. Over here in the USA, almost every professional body or association has a strict code of ethics. I have a real-estate license and any minor infraction can result in the loss of the license along with fines etc. I can’t understand how a doctor with a suspicion of killing/disposing of his daughter can be allowed to carry on in a “business as usual” way. But then again, we’re talking about the world’s 3rd largest employer backing him, paying his salary on a 1 1/2 day/week schedule etc. I know GM is supposedly back at work full time but the NHS handling of the situation is par for the course and is typical of the bad management that riddles that organisation anyway. It’s scandalous that GM hasn’t been suspended from duty pending investigation.

I suppose I should clarify for Sledge - in case he gets uppity about football again.
I have a Protestant father (hence me being a Rangers supporter). I have 2 Catholic grandmothers and a Catholic mother, hence I’m also a Catholic.
I got raised in a nice (posh) village and I never heard anything sectarian till I went to University. I got called a Hun (if your interested - the irony).

While I was researching Mark Warner/Ocean Club child care offerings, I came across this article entitled Happy in a Nanny State and published before Madeleine disappeared (and last updated April 21, 2007). This mother was also enchanted with the child care clubs and nannies and insisted her children go there every day. Apparently, her children were older than the McCanns’ and she reports her kids loved the experience.
