Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann’s Message And McCann Posters For Mari Cortes Luz
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS: “I feel your pain – Kate’s note to kidnap parents”
Kate McCann has delivered a “heartfelt message of support” to the parents of missing girl Mari Luz Cortes
Writes Kate, a “GP”: “I feel your pain, as parents we know what you’re going through…I am praying that Mari Luz is found quickly, safe and well”
Not that it’s all about the McCanns, a Maddy 2. Although: Says Juan Jose Cortes, Mari’s father: “Only now I understand what Madeleine McCann’s parents are suffering”
Neither Mr Cortes nor his wife are named suspects in their child’s disappearance
The McCanns have offered to equip posters of Madeleine with a shot of Mari – 12,000 of them are to be put up in Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands
Mr Cortes says thank you but “We don’t feels strong enough to make a decision”
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “The posters could lead to vital clues in both cases. Mari Luz’s face would sit along Madeleine’s… We just want to help”
Help who?
DAILY STAR: “’I KNOW THE PAIN YOU ARE FEELING’”
“Madeleine McCann’s mum has told the parents of a child feared snatched by the same abductor: ‘I feel your pain.’ GP Kate, 39, sent her words of comfort to the parents of five-year-old Mari Luz Cortes when the McCanns’ private detectives met them to investigate links between the two cases”
How did the papers come to know of this message, and how can knowing help either child?
“POLICE reject claims of link” – Portuguese police do not “believe” there is a link between Mari and Madeleine
Kate McCann is a “GP”
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns comfort lost girl’s parents”
Kate McCann has sent an “emotional message” to the parents of Mari Luz Cortes
THE McCanns will have to wait until September this year to discover why they were made suspects
THE MIRROR: “KATE’S PRAYER OF HOPE”
“I FEEL YOUR PAIN – Kate’s message to parents of missing Spanish girl Mari”
Reports are that police are seeking a “local sex pest” in Huelva
“70,000..the number of kids under 16 that go missing in the UK every year. Only 10 per cent vanish for more than five days”
Any more room on those posters? How are they remembered?
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “McCanns tell lost girl’s parents: We feel for you”
Says a friend of Mari’s parents, Irene a
nd Juan Jose Cortes: “They have been touched by the fact someone who is going through her own turmoil can find the strength to think of their moment of need”

In reality…there won’t even be a bit of paper which ever existed.
But to live in the Dr’s Dream World for a minute….it would have been
a very complicated Calculation indeed.
And the result would have been “VERY HIGH RISK”…..Cancel such Idiotic Plans”"

Coolandcalm gave a link to a story where mumsnet talked about the McCanns leaving their kids being a calculated risk and a risk we’ve all taken at some stage.
I say bullshit to that article and anyone who keeps using that word in the context of what the McCanns have told us they did.
It was my words because I didn’t have the article in front of me to cut/paste from. It may not have been verbatim Garth but you know what I’m on about. GM spoke at least twice in well-documented interviews about the “backgarden” scenario and this is the point being debated….not sticking over semantics about the exact phrase used.

QUOTE
Can I leave my baby alone for a short while?
Never leave a baby or toddler alone, even for a few minutes. There are many dangers in a house for an unsupervised child. Leaving a child who is asleep is not a good idea, either - he may wake up and try to come looking for you. Also, being alone in the dark can be terrifying for a small child.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is no connection with the 5 y/o who went missing on her way to the candy store. Maadalynn’s blood and DNA was found all over the place and cadaver scent was found on kmc and also poor little Cuddle Cat. Her excuse was she had viewed 6 cadavers that week and taken Cuddle Cat in to the morgue with her. It is very unusual for a GP to see cadavers in a morgue and even more unusual to take their favorite stuffed toys in to the work area. IMHO, of course, although what I have typed is all fact and has been reported in the papers.

The McCanns used the Fund to pay for their travel expenses and Mortgage , plus I think their living expenses while in Portugal. I think the Accommodation was free but I don”t know what else. I still believe that they could have paid for posters for Posters for Mari.

Garth,
I’ll post one link after another for you.
The first one you have to scan down, past the ‘don’t leave kids alone in a car’ info. to other dangers from leaving kids alone.

The whole case is riddled with tit-for-tat stories. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if it turned out there was some Team McCann involvement in some if not all of these counter-stories.
McCanns going to make a movie: Result - Portuguese telly say they’ll make a 26 part series
The PJ strikes and McCann counter-strikes are too amateur to take seriously. I just hope when this comes to trial that many heads will be on the chopping block for wasting police time.

can’t say no very nicely put up a long piece in French for us all to read.
My reaction is as you see.
If you can not trouble yourselves to translate nor we will we.
In the recent past there have been daft tricks such as posting in pigeon Russian, Greek etc. The simple fact is we can’t be bovvered and delete the lot.
If a poster insist on being stupid, then I’ll think about about it for a split second before slamming the door. I will then turn the key …because we have other much more exciting things to be getting on with.

Precisely. Leaving the kids alone each night was an accident waiting to happen but is separate and distinct to what did happen. I’m tired of adding “IMO” to posts. It’s been reported that the police believe the parents disposed of the body after storing it in a fridge so why do I need to add “IMO”? I don’t. I firmly believe the police stories over the various conflicting stories by the characters in the plot.

Its one Heluva coincidence,
Last week we heard the excuse that the Mcconns had taken the trip to Huelva to search for Maddie who they believed had been picked up by a travelling circus (they must have been watching Dumbo).
This week we hear of poor little Mari going missing, IN HUELVA, what a bloody big coincidence.
IMO, the Mcconns must be over the moon, what a brilliant thing to happen, now they can show what kind caring people they really are, they can get the publicity back into spain and portugal, the cash back into the fund and brainwash us into believing their abduction theory.
My question would be, is this child really missing? is this a sprat to catch a mackrel or has she joined forces with the infamous manipulating twits known as Metado 3. Just my opinion but im sticking with it.
Just hope the kid is found safe and well.
And NADDO 6 . Well said.

It’s not a risk to walk down the street - or at least a risk worthy of being called that under normal circumstances. Walking down the street can be dangerous depending on the circumstances but leaving 3 toddlers alone is NOT a risk worth considering. Parents like the McCanns who want to hide behind stupid phrases like “it was a calculated risk” are simply admitting to neglect in a roundabout way.

The difficulty is that the writer clearly did not know what risk is.
The term “risk” is very often confused with “probability”, and hence used erroneously.
Risk is defined as the probability that a certain event will take place multiplied by the
consequences arising if it takes place.
This means that an event carrying a very low probability may represent a tremendous risk if the consequences are serious and/or irreversible.
That is one of the things people are taught in medical school…

People might have different perceptions of risk. However, our society/communities decide on standards of acceptable behavior in the care of children. I don’t think any responsible child welfare organization would come forward in favor of leaving two and three-year-olds alone in an apartment or home unsupervised for any length of time, anywhere.

+++++++++++++++
And two or more allegedly intelligent adults allegedly coming to the conclusion that there could possibly be any risk scenario in which it would be acceptable to leave three children under the age of four alone whilst they dined away from their apartment is completely unacceptable. End of.

However, even her father thinks Madeleine is very likely to be dead, as quoted in the Vanity Fair article recently published, yet the parents and their PR rep. insist on working to replenish the Fund. For what?
Personally, I think Mari Luz’s family is wise to avoid hooking up with the McCanns in any and every which way. I hope they continue to decline any offers for assistance from the McCanns.
