Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann’s Message And McCann Posters For Mari Cortes Luz
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS: “I feel your pain – Kate’s note to kidnap parents”
Kate McCann has delivered a “heartfelt message of support” to the parents of missing girl Mari Luz Cortes
Writes Kate, a “GP”: “I feel your pain, as parents we know what you’re going through…I am praying that Mari Luz is found quickly, safe and well”
Not that it’s all about the McCanns, a Maddy 2. Although: Says Juan Jose Cortes, Mari’s father: “Only now I understand what Madeleine McCann’s parents are suffering”
Neither Mr Cortes nor his wife are named suspects in their child’s disappearance
The McCanns have offered to equip posters of Madeleine with a shot of Mari – 12,000 of them are to be put up in Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands
Mr Cortes says thank you but “We don’t feels strong enough to make a decision”
Says Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ spokesman: “The posters could lead to vital clues in both cases. Mari Luz’s face would sit along Madeleine’s… We just want to help”
Help who?
DAILY STAR: “’I KNOW THE PAIN YOU ARE FEELING’”
“Madeleine McCann’s mum has told the parents of a child feared snatched by the same abductor: ‘I feel your pain.’ GP Kate, 39, sent her words of comfort to the parents of five-year-old Mari Luz Cortes when the McCanns’ private detectives met them to investigate links between the two cases”
How did the papers come to know of this message, and how can knowing help either child?
“POLICE reject claims of link” – Portuguese police do not “believe” there is a link between Mari and Madeleine
Kate McCann is a “GP”
DAILY MAIL: “McCanns comfort lost girl’s parents”
Kate McCann has sent an “emotional message” to the parents of Mari Luz Cortes
THE McCanns will have to wait until September this year to discover why they were made suspects
THE MIRROR: “KATE’S PRAYER OF HOPE”
“I FEEL YOUR PAIN – Kate’s message to parents of missing Spanish girl Mari”
Reports are that police are seeking a “local sex pest” in Huelva
“70,000..the number of kids under 16 that go missing in the UK every year. Only 10 per cent vanish for more than five days”
Any more room on those posters? How are they remembered?
DAILY TELEGRAPH: “McCanns tell lost girl’s parents: We feel for you”
Says a friend of Mari’s parents, Irene a
nd Juan Jose Cortes: “They have been touched by the fact someone who is going through her own turmoil can find the strength to think of their moment of need”

catkidd,
possible. PROBABLE, though, with sound facts on tide times, knowledge of movement of sands, etc. otherwise, they’d have been opening themselves up to the risk of all being rounded up and locked away pronto. body gives evidence.
if probable, the question centers on the source of that very specific and specialist information. no?
January 18th, 2008 at 10:47 pm
Yes the barmy brigade are well named, all innuendo and no evidence, no wonder agw has felt the need to give several libel warnings. Discussion is one thing, accusations without evidence are another.

Stevo, I live in the area you were mentionning, I don’t wish to be more specific.
If ever we meet, don’t ask me for a flight with you please. I hate flying. I keep checking the wings, (to see if they aren’t detaching themselves from the plane) and keep listening to the sound of the engines. I tell myself, second after second, : about 300 meters done, good. When we are about to land, I say a little prayer for the wheels to get out in time. The only thing that keeps me happy is to take pictures, standing at the very rear of the plane, and chatting with the other people who pass by. I love the short encounters, with people I’ll never see again. Whatever their age, their country, it is great to listen to them, what makes us alike and the differences. It’s only on a plane that you get the feeling. So I guess I don’t hate it that much after all.

_______________
The best one was a flight from Chicago to Tampa on a 727. I was on the back row and off to a fly in a show near Orlando. I had a pilot friend with me in the row in front of me. As we neared touchdown in Tampa, a 10 foot section of hose came detached under the wing. It was flaying around like crazy in the slipstream. I said to my friend “hey look at that hydraulic pipe come loose…” The bloke next to me nearly had a heart attack! After landing I pointed it out to the crew and it caused a chuckle when they said “darn fuel pipe coming loose AGAIN!”
You really don’t want to know about the bits that come loose, fly off or go wrong in a typical flight.

My sister is a Flight Attendant at Gatwick Airport (doesn’t like me using the term Air Hostess!) and some of the stories she tells me would really discourage you from flying. She often talks of delays and said if the public only knew the reason they wouldn’t step on that flight., but in saying that she would never change job and still insists it’s the safest way to travel!

because none of your friends feel this deep sense of loyalty toward you that can only be rooted in indebtedness. (it just feels that way, btw. no, i haven’t been admiring skeletons in the closet!)

Sleuthing impossible today, as nothing much seems to be hapening right now. We have to be prepared, as in my view the case is going to linger and linger and linger, with less and less information from the newspapers as the time goes I am afraid. We keep chatting while waiting for some news. What else do you suggest, apart from spying on the witnesses, or the PJ ?”
*******
In the absence of new material, go over and over again ALL other things “DOCUMENTED” before and look at details, details …. [like the PJ probably does]. Look back at the “lies”, changes, slips of the tongue, photos, videos and use your senses. Whatever has happened, IMO, these people say less than they know, these people say different from what they know. And the truth lays in a small hidden corner. Find it.
B.t.w. I do like/am interested in all kinds of personal angles, situation, satirical humor, and wouldn’t want to miss that for the world. But … once we’ve started, we should finish. And I think that the combination of cultures, ethnical background, professions etc. makes a hell of a team to try and figure out the “truth”.

702 Marie Nicholas Says:
“Chenier, I like your definition of risk, it says it all.”
It’s not Chernier’s definition. But anyway, it’s not about risks, but about the perception of risks.
There are thousands of deaths every year in car accidents. There are a couple of plane crashes every year. So the children were at a higher risk during their journey to Portugal, than during the time their parents had their dinner in Portugal.
And of course, the travelling risk was easily avoidable. There is no need at all to travel to Portugal for leisure purposes. But nobody would ever say that parents who travel with their children endanger them in an unacceptable manner. How comes?
—————————————————————-
Ferdinand,
On the one hand you accept the definition of risk, but on the other hand you then purport to claim that ‘a calculated risk’ should really be construed as a calculation of perceived risk.
That is nonsense, and the probability is high that you know that it is nonsense.
But even if you don’t, anyone graduating from medical school does know. Doctors don’t make decisions on treatment options by looking at perceived risks, they make them on the basis of real risks.
Putting together spurious claims really doesn’t help; it simply suggests that you are prepared to misrepresent the facts.
That doesn’t reflect well on the people you are defending…

catkidd,
like you, i think she had trouble tearing herself away. we’ve heard of dead babies being kept in freezers because the grieving mother refused to let go.
and paedo is not what any mother would ever want to imagine happened to her daughter and then to go on SMILING and getting on like everything’s okay for months on end. someone should walk her through her emotions….
