The paper says the witness, Gail Cooper, was staying with her family 600 yards from the McCann’s apartment in Praia da Luz.
She told the police of a “creepy man” in the area. A picture of the man has been produced
Gary Thompson, an associate editor at the News of the World, tells the BBC the picture was being taken seriously. Well, it on the front page. “The picture has been passed to Interpol, police in Portugal and also in Leicestershire, so the important thing is - who is he? Where is he now?” he asks.
“We’ll be urging all our readers in the morning to get in touch with the authorities if they’ve got any information at all about this man”
Is he the man who abducted Madeleine McCann? Or was Mrs Cooper listening to The Beatles at the time?

The original photofit issued by Portuguese police showed only a round egg-shaped head and blank face and was widely criticised as being useless. The Sun had an eFit. Jane Tanner’s efit had hair and a jacket
The man is “thought to be aged between 38 and 45. He has sallow skin, lank dark hair, large teeth and a distinctive droopy moustache. The suspect, who is said to have spoken in broken English, knocked on the door of Mrs [Sarah] Cooper’s apartment claiming to be collecting for charity. Mrs Cooper says: ‘He made my blood run cold - he gave me the creeps. My judgment is that this man was very suspicious and could have been the kidnapper’”

The Mirror is on the case. It got Amaral. It got “creepy” Robert Murat. But now Amaral is back. Says the paper: “The move will be a massive blow to parents Kate and Gerry.” It will be “heartbreaking for 39-year-old doctors Kate and Gerry”. Why? Was Amaral the casue of their problem?

The Spanish police are looking for Mari Luis Cortes. Says the Star: “Friends of Kate and Gerry McCann say missing Madeleine might have been found by now – if Spanish police had been involved”
Maris Luis Cortes has yet to be found
Says a friend of McCanns of the Portuguese police: “They acted like real amateurs, so it’s no wonder they don’t seem to be getting anywhere finding Madeleine”
The Portuguese police also named the McCanns as suspects

One of the stylists says: “She was almost in tears as she watched them and my heart went out to her.”

THE News of the World has teamed up with the Association of British Travel Agents and the Federation of Tour Operators to lanch a major initiative to keep our children safe on holiday—Code Madeleine.
The scheme is backed by the Federation of Tour Operators (FTO), whose members take 18 MILLION Brits abroad each year, AND the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA). Among the big names who have thrown full support behind us are Teletext, First Choice, BA Holidays, Thomas Cook, My Travel, Thomson Holidays, Virgin Holidays and Cosmos.

Their employees will be trained in a set procedure covering the six-point SOS plan. Look for the Code Madeleine symbol when booking holidays to be sure staff are ready for action.
Andy Cooper, Director General of the FTO, said: “We’re pleased to have helped develop Code Madeleine and hope it will bring added reassurance to millions. All of our major members have agreed to support and adopt it.”

Add to that Andy Cooper, Director General of the Federation of Tour Operators, quoted by News of the World this summer in connection with “Code Madeleine”.

I take you think Gerry is the guilty partner (along with a friend ) and Kate has been caught up in the deceit.
so, Gerry may has done something to Maddie that Kate is innocent of, he has spun his wife some story about the disappearance of their daughter…(.that Maddie is living in a lovely house in Spain…). and Kate believes him and has gone along with this charade for 8 months.
She either has no suspicion of his story or she is completely under his power.
This is backed up by the Express article, where she is shown as a ‘depressed ‘recluse while her husband goes back to work.
