The paper says the witness, Gail Cooper, was staying with her family 600 yards from the McCann’s apartment in Praia da Luz.
She told the police of a “creepy man” in the area. A picture of the man has been produced
Gary Thompson, an associate editor at the News of the World, tells the BBC the picture was being taken seriously. Well, it on the front page. “The picture has been passed to Interpol, police in Portugal and also in Leicestershire, so the important thing is - who is he? Where is he now?” he asks.
“We’ll be urging all our readers in the morning to get in touch with the authorities if they’ve got any information at all about this man”
Is he the man who abducted Madeleine McCann? Or was Mrs Cooper listening to The Beatles at the time?

The man is “thought to be aged between 38 and 45. He has sallow skin, lank dark hair, large teeth and a distinctive droopy moustache. The suspect, who is said to have spoken in broken English, knocked on the door of Mrs [Sarah] Cooper’s apartment claiming to be collecting for charity. Mrs Cooper says: ‘He made my blood run cold - he gave me the creeps. My judgment is that this man was very suspicious and could have been the kidnapper’”

The Spanish police are looking for Mari Luis Cortes. Says the Star: “Friends of Kate and Gerry McCann say missing Madeleine might have been found by now – if Spanish police had been involved”
Maris Luis Cortes has yet to be found
Says a friend of McCanns of the Portuguese police: “They acted like real amateurs, so it’s no wonder they don’t seem to be getting anywhere finding Madeleine”
The Portuguese police also named the McCanns as suspects

One of the stylists says: “She was almost in tears as she watched them and my heart went out to her.”

I would imagine most people have twigged that the latest picture of the abductor is yet another probable scam to deflect suspicion from the McCanns and once again prolong the investigation into the wrong doings of K & G. So what will follow next.
Of course, a barrage of sightings from around the globe, Mind you there can’t be many men with long hair, a moustache, not designer dressed and of medium build and height ……Can there?
Now here’s the opportunity for someone to get their days fame with their name in the press, and the McCann team to continue taking us all for mugs as usual.

In my opinion, there are certain people aligned to Team McCann who are interested only in is using every nook and cranny of “the law” to prevent discussion of the possibility that the McCann’s, and/or their friends, know rather more about the events leading up to and following Madeleine’s disappearance than has currently come to light, in my opinion.
People who post from the same narrow script are a dead giveaway, in my opinion.

IMO parents should not have to use things such as star charts or naughty steps to raise their children. What happened to good old fashioned child-rearing methods? Heck I’ve raised/am raising three children … oldest 21 …. youngest 5 …. I’ve never resorted to charts or steps to raise one of them … none are druggies/alcoholics/problem children …. all are polite, well brought up individuals. Is this the modern method for lazy parenting? (And just BTW I have probably smacked my kids less times than all the fingers on ONE hand … between the three of them … and they’re all boys!!!)???

Peter O, excellent that you have taken AGW’s advice to heart, so that you are in no doubt, I am neither pro nor anti, I prefer to use AGW’s advice if it’s not true if you can’t prove it don’t repeat it , nice and simple thats why I can say they are innocent without fear of being sued, for at this moment in time that is true, irrespective of what the gum bumper and his cohorts promulgate.

Thanks for your response on yesterday’s thread. I am in general agreement with your observations, though my gut feeling is that the PJ are working on a different theory to the one they were pursuing in Sept 07.
The leaks at that time were all about the cadaver dogs and the “scent of death” on KM’s clothes etc - either those reports were untrue or the Portuguese prosecutor has reservations for some other reason, otherwise I would have expected arrests or charges by now.
