The paper says the witness, Gail Cooper, was staying with her family 600 yards from the McCann’s apartment in Praia da Luz.
She told the police of a “creepy man” in the area. A picture of the man has been produced
Gary Thompson, an associate editor at the News of the World, tells the BBC the picture was being taken seriously. Well, it on the front page. “The picture has been passed to Interpol, police in Portugal and also in Leicestershire, so the important thing is - who is he? Where is he now?” he asks.
“We’ll be urging all our readers in the morning to get in touch with the authorities if they’ve got any information at all about this man”
Is he the man who abducted Madeleine McCann? Or was Mrs Cooper listening to The Beatles at the time?

The man is “thought to be aged between 38 and 45. He has sallow skin, lank dark hair, large teeth and a distinctive droopy moustache. The suspect, who is said to have spoken in broken English, knocked on the door of Mrs [Sarah] Cooper’s apartment claiming to be collecting for charity. Mrs Cooper says: ‘He made my blood run cold - he gave me the creeps. My judgment is that this man was very suspicious and could have been the kidnapper’”

Maris Luis Cortes has yet to be found
Says a friend of McCanns of the Portuguese police: “They acted like real amateurs, so it’s no wonder they don’t seem to be getting anywhere finding Madeleine”
The Portuguese police also named the McCanns as suspects

Gosh… David Icke was right all along. This latest evidence clearly proves Murat is a shapeshifting reptilian humanoid (like most of the Royal Family - Diana had to go after she caught Prince Philip licking her bidet with his real 18-inch tongue).
Princess Madeleine is meanwhile enjoying her new life in the Royal Palace on Planet Draco, having (for obscure occult reasons) been implanted before birth in a scouse doctor in Amsterdam on Planet Earth.

Apparently Madeleine was habitually trying to get into bed with her parents, and to try to
get her to sleep in her own bed she was given a star when she complied. This was probably one of the reasons why Kate wrote in her Diary that Madeleine was a handful. In a way the
practice should not be encouraged, but Madeleine probably needed some loving which on the
holiday was not very evident was it!!!!!!

Okay but there may not be too much difference between the UK position, where you are arrested and told from the off that you don’t have to answer questions, and the Portuguese position where you can start answering questions voluntarily, then change your mind halfway through and elect to be an arguido so you don’t have to answer any more.
But I agree it’s wrong to say that the McCanns have been “arrested” as such. Had that been the case they wouldn’t have been allowed home I imagine.
So I’m still left wondering just what it is they are supposed to have done. If just neglect then it’s unfortunate they have been described as arguidos in Maddy’s disappearance, that sounds a lot worse.
I take it you are sceptical about the cadaver dogs.

The article saying Kate McCann offered to put a photo of Mari Luz on the posters they were
distributing referred to 12,000. As I mentioned in a previous poster Carrefour in Spain
apparently refused previouslyfor the Madeleine posters to be put on shopping trolleys, and
with PDLremoving all evidence of Madeleine and the general feeling of enough is enough all
over Europe the McCanns might find it difficult to distribute these posters. I presumed the
12,000 cost the £80,000 reportedly spent on posters, so if there is another million what on earth are they thinking of!!!!!!!!!!!!

Evening all.
Just come in from days racing down Exeter way.
Didn’t see Jane Tanner etc al. No doubt keeping a low profile.
Grabbed the Sunday papers and only just had time to look at them.
Pardon my french, but what a load of crap.
He reminded me of Peter Wyngarde too.
And .. wtf has this info.take so long to come out.
Sorry but I just think its another of the tales fed by and increasingly desperate McConn duo, who are now beginning to realise the depth of public feeling against them. The fund is drying up rapidly, too many questions are being asked - that they either haven’t got answers too, or can’t remember what they answered when asked previously.

No normal parent stops a child coming into their room.
All kids get frightened / ill etc.
When my beloved son was little he was always told if he needed his mum in the night to call me and if I didn’t hear him he was to come and wake me up.

Possibly.. However Ian, either this lady did or didn’t report this sighting back in May? That surely is a verifiable fact? i.e. She must surely have reported something otherwise it’s just a blatant lie to say her suspicions have been reported earlier, as in May?
So, let’s give her the benefit of the doubt and say she did report it when she says she reported it. That then means the police must have eliminated him from their lines of enquiry? So, why are Team McCann raising it now?
Is this part of the confusion that is being caused to Team McCann by not being allowed access to the PJ’s files they are having to try and guess which bit of evidence to attempt to rubbish next?

Ms Cooper apparently reported her suspicions on May 7, having returned from PDL on 25th April.
I assume therefore that it was the Nottinghamshire police involved.
The ‘This is London’ article makes it clear that :
‘Now the McCanns want a review of all the witness statements’.
