Madeleine McCann: The Witnesses See, A Sketch And Killer Bob
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MAIL: “Madeleine: Four witnesses say they saw suspect pictured in new poster campaign”
“Four key witnesses in the Madeleine McCann investigation could have seen the man shown in a new sketch of a potential suspect, it emerged yesterday”
But there were no witnesses? And “could” and “potential” in one line…
“But four witnesses may have seen the unidentified man - first on the night the three-year-old went missing, then later with named suspect Robert Murat, and finally in Morocco”
“Jane Tanner, who told police she saw a man carrying a child away from the McCanns’ apartment, said she was “80 per cent sure” he was the one depicted in the artist’s impression”
“Isabel Gonzalez, who said she saw Madeleine with a Berber woman in Morocco, said the sketch looked ‘very similar’ to a man she saw immediately after the sighting”
Amanda Mills, 34, from Basildon, Essex, claimed to have spotted a man trying to break into a bedroom window at the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz a week before Madeleine disappeared from the complex.
“Last night she said there are “strong similarities” between the man she saw and the new sketch.
“Nanny Charlotte Pennington’s description of a person she saw with Mr Murat also matches the man shown in the artist’s impression”
DAILY EXPRESS: “New manhunt ‘another diversion by McCanns’”
One Portuguese policeman “stormed”: “The purpose of this exercise by the McCanns is the same as always. It’s another diversionary tactic”
DAILY STAR: “YOU WON’T THROW US OFF THE SCENT”
“Cops blast Maddie sketch as McCann tactic”
DAILY MIRROR: “Madeleine witnesses: This is him”
Witnesses says the sketch cold be a picture of the man they saw. Or it could not be
DEFAMER: Or does the new sketch of the man suspected of snatching young Madeleine McCann look a lot like Killer Bob?
NEW YORK POST: “SKETCHY SUSPECT IN MADDIE MYSTERY”
A picture of the man and he caption: “WANTED – SOUGHT IN KID SWIPE”

For about £400-600 per day depending upon role, plus disbursements, obviously.
Where’s the ironing?

batman - i like it when we pass the time gossiping - with the occassional break for mcc gossip
peter o - did i tell you that courtesy of eby and tesco clubcard vouchers my WHOLE NEW kitchen cost me less tha £600 . Its looks so ggod that i had a ‘grand kitchen opening party’ and even cooked nigellas chocolate fudge for the occassion :grin did have to buy a new jigsaw though as the work surfaces were real buggers to cut - particularly the hole for the sink

I don’t know why it’s in those languages to be honest. I think with the adverse publicity if the McCanns were involved, it would be more bullets in their feet. Infohost is the Ullapool based company that created the official Madeleine website. They don’t look to be involved in this at all.
But…who knows?

Re mobiles in hospitals (sorry off topic but it has gone quiet?)
Yes Totje I agree it seems the rest of Euro allow but not us.
Noseycow I agree it’s probably because of the hugely, outrageously expensive in house phoning scam (along with car parking but we won’t go there) that the ”managers” have installed.
It seems obvious that if one hospital (anywhere) allows mobiles then it must be proved to be harmless. Yet our wonderfull government….no stop! Don’t start me off into ”grumpy old woman”!! Anyway it was most certainly frowned upon in Wales only last month in maternity (no not me!!)

Thats why God gave us dryers! and hangers.
I havent ironed since 95.
++++++++++
Now you see, there’s an interesting point. I was quite happy with my non-iron shirts and hanging my t-shirts and jeans on hangers in the airing cupboard.
Mrs Peter O arrives and tells me that she wants me to appear as smart as possible and so all of the above must now be ironed.
Pretty soon thereafter we need a lady “what does” to iron the things I used to be happy leaving to their own devices.
Someone please explain!

Hope you feel better soon. Is “Microbial Genocide” another way of describing Chronic Airways disease, or Pneumonia? I gave up smoking 18 months ago and have more lung problems
than ever I had when I smoked!!!!! Last year I was rushed to Hospital (first time in Hospital
in 37 years) with suspectedPneumonia, have been trying to shake off Flu for past two months.
The McCanns havn”t got rid of the 12,000 posters yet never mind the million. Since no one
will ever really know what has been spent on finding Madeleine, all this so called expenditure
for circulation abroad could be a a smoke screen to hide the real recipients of the Fund IMO of
course. Wonder what the reaction would be if a few Anorak posters pretended they were going
to Morocco or Spain and offered to help distribute the Posters!!!!!!!

Have you asked anyone what they think of the mc canns, yet?
—————————————————
I like them all too much to embarass them in that way.
The last thing in the world they need is to be tarred with that sort of brush; I have confidence in people who have cared for me over a fair number of years now, who I know would be horrified at the idea of behaving so irresponsibly.
Just one more problem to be laid at the feet of the Frangrant Duo…
January 22nd, 2008 at 11:14 pm
Good grief. I leave you all alone for a few hours and it has degenerated to an Anorak ad break for Morphy Richards.
Have they been arrested yet?

But hey there’s always tomorrow
January 22nd, 2008 at 11:04 pm
Nosey,
Buy that dryer that also does the ironing!!!!
Chenier,
I’m afraid I also missed you are in hospital. It sounds serious, I hope you feel better soon and have many many visitors [like the offspring] to pamper you.
January 22nd, 2008 at 11:01 pm
the government have had to give in as i think it was the office of fair trading slated the hospital phone service costs - so all hospitals have to let mobiles be used in non clinical areas, which many have taken to mean corridors etc - however most wards (except critical care and high dependancy , and some specialist wards) are actually non clinical areas and its ok to use mobiles - though not recommended during doctors rounds or when matrons about

Laptops/computers in hospitals. Brilliant! So how come we can’t use mobiles….??
Grrrrr
Anyway chin up & I hope you’ve had cheery visitors to get you off Anorak now & again!
I was going to do so much today but…didn’t happen! At least you have a decent excuse, I don’t!
—————————————
Mobiles apparently can mess up medical equipment, though the view seems to vary from ward to ward and hospital to hospital. As does access to laptops…
And never feel you need an excuse for a day spent not doing very much; life is too short to waste it doing things all the time!
