Amanda Mills, 34, from Basildon, Essex, claimed to have spotted a man trying to break into a bedroom window at the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz a week before Madeleine disappeared from the complex.
“Last night she said there are “strong similarities” between the man she saw and the new sketch.
“Nanny Charlotte Pennington’s description of a person she saw with Mr Murat also matches the man shown in the artist’s impression”

………………Matty 84 The media have gone with the most popular take on this and that is abduction.
I still believe abduction….. I’ve been to PDL (which is why the story caught my interest initially, I know it well ) and many there think the same way as do the majority of the news media who have been there. Most parents in and around the area are keeping their children closer than before.
I’ve considered the real evidence as opposed to the leaks and whispers and I still look to abduction. My opinion on the REAL facts but still only an opinion.

If we could work out why sledgehammer supports the McCanns, we would be some way along to understanding the overwhelmng support the media editors, ‘journalists’ and TV ‘presenters’ (talentless over-paid people that these are!) are giving them.
Although sledgehammer is perhaps not a good example, he or she seems to have the wit of a Sun reader. However, Garth shows signs of intellect as do some other Pro-McCanns who post here. Maybe we should focus on understanding them?
I suspect its something to do with their own morals and views on adequate childcare and protection - the idea that the world is responsible for looking after their children and they are not (all they are responsible for is paying others). It may be born from their own experiences? Nannies etc?

I, perfectly reasonably, thought you were being truthful.
Clearly I was wrong.
Incidentally, you have not devoted the last 8 months to explaining your views on why Clarence Mitchell should pretend that his ace private investigators had tracked down a vital witness when in fact what really happened was that they spotted an article on the Daily Mirror, helpfully precis’ed by Anorak on January 8th.
Nor have you explained why Clarence should pretend that the PJ had not checked the report when in fact the witness in question had made her report in this country to our police, who concluded it wasn’t worth spending resources on.
Nor have you explained why Clarence should have so disgracefully failed to send a copy of the sketch of the alleged abductor to the Spanish police investigating the disappearance of little Mari immediately the sketch was completed.
There can be no moral justification of such an act.
Unless, of course, Clarence knows full well that Ms Cooper is a few sandwiches short of a picnic and was only needed in the relentless media war of trying to make the McCanns look like responsible parents…
Perhaps you could tell us your views on these points?

I had thought that comments such as ‘no valuables were taken from the appartment’ were unfortunate turns of phrase - but now believe that this is actually how they are thinking, they have made their prioroties clear over the last few months so i should not be shocked - but my god - RENEWED HOPE - they don’t deserve to have kids IMO.
