“Last night she said there are “strong similarities” between the man she saw and the new sketch.
“Nanny Charlotte Pennington’s description of a person she saw with Mr Murat also matches the man shown in the artist’s impression”

I was wondering… Something like:
It may already have come to your attention, but just in case it hasn’t done so, I understand that Chief Detective Inspector Comical Clarence Clouseau has forwarded a sketch purported to be a likeness of man allegedly seen loitering in Praia De Luse in the same year as Madeleine McCann disappeared.
Chief Detective Inspector I’m A Really Important Person is in fact an imposter. True, he harbours delusions of being allowed to be “in charge” and in truth rumours abound that he is now allowed unfettered access to his employers stationery cupboard. However, I can confirm that he is in fact the mouthpiece of a number of parties who are currently suspects in a somewhat significant missing persons case that might just be teensy weensy bit related to the Madeleine McCann case.
I’m sure that these interests were mentioned to you when he passed on this vital new information in relation to the Madeleine McCann case.
P.S. Could you ensure that the PJ receive a copy of the Comical One’s vital new information. Due to an administrative misunderstanding it appears quite likely that Mr Rebello was inadvertently omitted from the circulation list.
