“Last night she said there are “strong similarities” between the man she saw and the new sketch.
“Nanny Charlotte Pennington’s description of a person she saw with Mr Murat also matches the man shown in the artist’s impression”

Hello,
Have been away for a while as no time to post. Keep reading the news regularly, though.
It seems to me that the mcCanns have been offered a helping hand many times by compassionate people and coincidencies - or was that a playful destiny - though that hasn’t lead to a solution of the Maddie mystery so far. And no convenient coincidencies (tragically of course, the disappearance of another girl) nor diversion tactics are going to solve this case if the Portuguese police are to believe. Thinking back I remember old allegations that the Tapas9 can dramatically shed light on the events of that evening and perhaps we are going to find out shortly that this is what happens…
It was amazing to see dozens of sketches of the “abductor” suddenly popping up by dozens of online papers “never heard” before.

Please don’t start trying to be as thick as Sledge.
It was fully investigated by the relevant authorities and DISCOUNTED as irrelevant at the appropriate time. Read many previous postings for the full(er) story.
The poor man has already been eliminated from enquiries and is surely entitled to a quiet life!!

Recent news articles from today are reporting that the PJ police did check out the lead and were able to discover the man Cooper spotted was a local drifter and not connected to Madeleine’s disappearance.

“Last night, sources in the Policia Judiciaria revealed reports of a dishevelled man lurking around Praia da Luz were investigated months ago and found to be groundless.
One stormed: “The purpose of this latest exercise by the McCanns is the same as always. It’s another diversionary tactic.”
Former PJ inspector and now criminologist Francisco Moita Flores said the timing of the McCanns releasing the image was curious, coming only days before the McCanns’ dining companions are due to face further questioning.
He said: “This is maybe the most critical moment in the investigation. They know there is evidence that the girl died and we are on the eve of interrogating witnesses who may undo all the theories.”

Saw Gail Cooper”s interview and she definitely says she contacted Police “here” (presume local station ) on 7th May. If this is true why wasn”t this info relayed by Police at such a vital time, and an Identikit picture faxed to Portugal? If the PJ ignored any info from this witness
and are now taking it seriously heads will roll, if the PJ were never informed of this the U.K.
Police will have some explaining to do. How did the McCanns find out about this woman?

Good afternoon, all!
The circus is getting sinister… Since their Central Casting Villain (AKA George Harrison with a bad hangover, or Killer Bob) probably looks like scores of men on the Iberian peninsula, we can look forward to lots and lots of “sightings”, and probably one or more poor sods having their lives ripped up by the whirling maelstrom that is Circus McCann…
I wonder what would happen if M3 actually find someone fitting the description… can they arrest him? What can they actually do, in theory? If the PJ tell them to get stuffed (which they probably would, as apparently they already investigated and dismissed this bloke as a harmless drifter), then wot?
