Funny that the spanish police did not close the borders… but yet they seem to have acted competently according to the McCanns.
Funny that England does not close borders with Scotland or Wales everytime there’s a missing person reported.
Funny that all the McCanns say is very geared towards convincing Britons of a certain “profile”, that foreigners have abducted their little girl and they are victims of that nasty world out there across the channel that some like to call Europe.

Purely coincidentally, I’ve been thinking how fragile the life on Earth is and conditioned by a complex system humans have no overall understanding or control of. How healthy is it to think a minor change - a change in our planet’s mass, or the climate change or an outside factor - could start a development that could send our little civilization to outer spaces. Several UFO sightings were reported in the USA last week… Apologies for my non-native peasant English.

Couldn’t a fund be set up to collect money to cover the costs of digging up the roads which were under construction at the time of Madeleine’s disappearance? I recall reading a long, long time ago that Portugal would not be digging them up (due to the cost?) unless there were proof that Madeleine’s body is to be found there. Maybe if a collection were taken up (I’m sure there would be enough people willing to give) Portugese authorities would be willing to undertake this. Leaving no stone unturned, you know….

Stevo 531 - I wouldn’t discount anything at this stage.
But if the McCanns were involved I would find it more likely if the McCanns would have paid someone to abduct the girl and keep her at least until the PJ interviews are over and the prosecutor decides on whether or not to press charges.
Frankly abducting the girl and killing her would be indeed a bit far fetched.
Alternatively, it could also be a) a simple coincidence that she was abducted by someone totally unrelated to Madeleine or the McCanns or b) that encouraged by the McCanns financial success and public aclaim the parents of this girl found it could be a profitable business prospect to simulate an abduction.
Who knows…

i found very amusing the comparison in the uk press today of the pj and spanish police.
the spanish police have been praised for imediatly setting up roadblocks and using helicopters with heat seeking equipment etc etc
so where is the little spanish girl?
why are we to praise the spanish police for NOT finding her?

Can you please explain why the official police numbers have been removed from the site and why the only information number is a premium rate number in Spain?
Also, the Madeleine photo taken by the pool seems to exist in two versions. There’s the “official” pool photo and then there’s a different photo of Madeleine without Gerry McCann’s elbow in it. This picture is on today’s Daily Star here: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news
Is there a particular reason that this photo exists without the elbow?
