“Last night she said there are “strong similarities” between the man she saw and the new sketch.

Interesting stuff on the cosmos. I was shocked the other day when reading about some scientists working at Tunguska who claim to have found out what happened there 100 years ago. I was shocked because the Tunguska Event has been repeated several times and most recently occurred over the Mediterranean on June 6, 2002!

I don’t know if someone actually said that they’d not spend money digging up the road. Certainly not the PJ.
But if someone did say that, that in itself is still quite different from saying “they’ll not digg up the road because of money” as suggested by the previous poster.
If the PJ had any prospect of finding the body under the road do you think they’d not digg up the road? No, it’s cheaper to spend time flying up and town to the UK for interviews…

It is always being said here that most of the time the death of a child takes place at the hands of the parents.
Its been said in connection with the Portugese girl whose mother was convicted.
Its being said of the McCanns.
Why is it not being said of the Spanish parents? isn’t it just as likely that one of them fatally injured their child?
I’m not personally saying it because I don’t believe it but I’m surprised that the alleged stats are not being quoted in the Spanish case. Or have I missed it? (I don’t often scroll back now)

I have not seen in the portuguese press any official statement by the PJ about the new suspect. Only some commentators, and the guy that represents the police officers trade union.
As was mentioned before, this may all be part of the McCann strategy to complain that the portuguese are focused on Madeleine’s death and therefore are failing to pursue important leads that support abduction.
That’s how it should be. Everyone has got a purpose in life: Police investigates, Clarence distracts the public, the gutter press sells papers.

The dug up roads story is too far fetched IMO. A road is a foot thick at most. It doesn’t get filled in blindly. You can’t pave over a large squashable chunk of debris or the road would cave in.
I know what you’re saying but personally I think the roads being dug up is a red herring.
