Little Mari Luz Cortes has been missing for about a week now. Too soon to know what to make of the case. A shopkeeper saw the little girl about the time she was supposedly to have been out buying her treat, confirming part of the story the parents gave.
I’m sure that the vast majority of the public worldwide were in Kate and Gerry’s corner the first weeks after Madeleine’s abduction. Don’t you think that’s true?
However, even Mari Luz’s father states that their family, including the parents, should be considered suspects by the police in their investigation until they are able to be ruled out. And I’m sure that they are/were being checked out to see if their story rings true.
I am concerned that they are following the same path as the McCanns so early in the investigation: setting up a fund, discrediting the work the Spanish police is doing as not satisfactory/not sufficient, looking for a wealthy backer to fund the hiring of a private detective agency. This makes them look potentially guilty (or just plain stupid) by association to the McCanns’ tactics, to me, imo.
I think it’s too soon to be able to make a call on the Cortes case. If the Spanish police announce they suspect the parents are to blame and that they have incriminating evidence that points to the parents, I will believe them.

However at one point an unnamed source from the british police did question why the pj had not sent her matress over for forensic testing - allegedly IMO etc etc

Good point. But it’s always been a feature of the story that MW didn’t change any sheets or receive a request to. Isn’t this aspect one of the many blow-holes in the McCann alibi?

I read the Mirror Forum article about the PJ knowing where Madeleine’s body was moved etc. but I can’t see where this is verified and backed up with more evidence. Is it just hearsay or did I read too fast and miss something?

Quick question - maybe tested already:
If Madeleine died of over sedation she would most certainly have thrown up in bed, before eventually getting up and accidentally falling or other.
Was it Tanner and O’Brien who went to the room to check on her child who was ill. Could this be just a way of getting rid of the sheets of the bed where Madeleine was sleeping without raising suspicions?

immediately, the little hint of pink in Gerry’s sunglasses look like it matches the colour of Madeleine’s clothes.
But indeed the position of the pool reflection is bizarre. Is there a credible way to examine this further?

One thing I’ve always wanted is a higher resolution image to work with. This is the best hi-res version of anything to do with the pool photo that I’ve seen to date. There must be a better version out there in some ad agency but I’ve tried loads and in some cases you have to pay and subscribe. I have joined some agencies to get access to better McCann photos but alas haven’t found the last photo in a better quality…yet.
I agree. The pink in the reflection seems to match but as there’s lots of pink in the Madeleine case it’s not surprising.
The reflection itself is unusual.

Is it possible that to dispose of body, Gerry arranged for a local chappy (for a large financial reward) to “collect” Madeleine’s body at around 9pm on Gerry’s child check. Tanner to substantiate seeing a vague, unidentifiable person carrying lifeless body off.
I believe that the ”local chappy” was Tanners own other half…..

It appears that the Hammer may have been to clever for the posters, who see themselves as superior. The link to the Government site explaining the procedure for the letters is self explanatory, there is no way the Portuguese will meet it, this makes the Home Secretary’s job a lot easier to refuse the request.
