Interesting story, but don’t you think it would have been more expedient to have some kind of ‘accident’ befall the blackmailing doctor than to go through an elaborate charade to protect said doctor? It would raise less questions, take less time and money, and prevent said blackmailing doctor from trying to play this threat card ever again in the future.

Interestingly, the Times Online says in a headline “Kate and Gerry McCann release PHOTOFIT of Madeleine suspect”.
E-Fit has been out since 1984 and is used worldwide to identify potential suspects in crimes. It is a standard method used by police forces everywhere…including the PJ.
