“The disappearance has been linked to that of Madeleine McCann from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, although police said they did not think the two cases were connected.
Ms Fitzpatrick yesterday said that her only daughter is “still just a kid”.
“She is only 15 and she has disappeared without trace.”
Amy Fitpatrick was 15 when she vanished after leaving her friend’s house near Feungirola, in Spain, at 10pm on New Year’s Day. She set out on the 20-minute walk to her own house, but has not been seen since.

You posted your mobile number in here when you got in an argument with a poster who goaded you into providing it.
If you got a text from bullmonkey or someone else that’s nothing to do with me and you should take that up with him. I can’t text the UK from the USA so it definitely didn’t come from here.
Another poster gave herself away in here after moaning about me for 4 hours. Then she had the audacity to blame me for it. Mods and Admin even made a posting to clarify this was the case.
I called you Gaz…but only after someone else had called you it. Like someone else called coolandcalm “Bernadine”. Someone suggested in here that Bernadine sells her books through Firestar’s online store. These are the people who then say I was immoral for complaining to a University about a plonker who was in daily violation of the University’s code of conduct…and acting far more immorally than I ever have.
I haven’t divulged your email address and have no need to. I have no need to divulge anyone’s details. But…consider this. If you got bombarded with abusive email and you ran the risk of a family member reading it would you happily let that prevail? No, of course you wouldn’t and no right minded person would expect you to let it carry on. Coolandcalm and Firestar think differently for some bizarre reason.

Based upon what I have seen and heard in various media reports since last May, it is my opinion that the McCann’s, and/or possibly some of their friends and family, know somewhat more about the events leading up to and following Madeleine’s disappearance than has currently come to light.
Now forgive me, but I don’t regard that as a libellous statement. You and your kin may not like it, but it’s not libellous.
Much of the discussion that you and others are partaking in with regard to libel is designed to frighten people into believing that they cannot hold and express reasonably balanced opinions about this case.
Administrator: We are not out to stifle debate at all and I sincerely hope the above comment was not meant as a oblique reference to Moderators, me, the Editor or anyone else involved in trying to keep this site out of the law courts. You are correct in saying your assumptions as stated above are not actionable. a stiff solicitors letter perhaps if anyone could be bothered with a cyber name. We are bothered. Fight, scratch, kick, punch and bite if you like just do not pull hair, gouge eyes or use knives or guns.
Gratuitous insults and libels do get out attention and may end yours.

Do you actually know anything about how/what the UK local police and the PJ did in respect of Gail Cooper’s alleged sighting? You’ve made me think now…… the only places these items are going out, is in the UK press in English where none of us can do a damn thing anyway! where is all the stuff translated into Spanish and Portuguese.
Further to that even in the early days everything was in English which proves IMO that it was just made to appeal to English sympathies! (which includes USA and Australia and many other English speaking countries)
So the campaign has NEVER been about the issues that it should have been.

Right…but in any lawsuit you can file a suit as easily as anything. Proving your case is normally the burden of the plaintiff.
I’ve seen little proof of libel because first of all, the McCanns are working…Kate isn’t, but that’s out of choice. GM seems to do everything normal - play golf, go to the pub etc. Beyond that, the public has donated $4Million to the McCann family.
There’s little evidence of any harm.

May be people [pj] made mistakes because this is not a ‘common’ crime like a theft or so.
May be too many people tried to interfere in the investigation. We can’t be sure [yet].
However even establishing this, it doesn’t alter the things that occurred.
What’s more interesting [imo] is that there are no official declarations for a long while.

I wonder if the so-called inconsistancies in the statements of the T9, are really that important, because it seems to take months to re-interview them. Why is it not checked during May-August, before the McC’s were made arguido’s?

Re the libel issue, it will be under English and/or Scottish legal system.
With respect to any other nations , their legal system is irrelevent in this regard.
Also remember too that Robert Murat can press charges if he so wishes.

What was stated was that if you had a complaint and contacted your ISP about it, they could legitimately trace the IP address and contact the offending party’s ISP and probably find out who it was causing whatever trouble.

I was in Federal Court last week on a course. One category of case filing is a frivolous case. They are usually thrown out - because they’re frivolous. But, they have a purpose…they get a message out in the open and into the public domain by using official channels. Plus they stay on the court record forever.
Libel needs to be proven. I doubt the McCanns could claim they have lost money because of what’s been written about them.
