“Mari Luz Cortes vanished on January 13, as she went to buy sweets from a local kiosk in the Spanish town of Huelva, near the border with Portugal. A massive search for the five-year-old is ongoing.
“The disappearance has been linked to that of Madeleine McCann from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, although police said they did not think the two cases were connected.
Ms Fitzpatrick yesterday said that her only daughter is “still just a kid”.
“She is only 15 and she has disappeared without trace.”
Amy Fitpatrick was 15 when she vanished after leaving her friend’s house near Feungirola, in Spain, at 10pm on New Year’s Day. She set out on the 20-minute walk to her own house, but has not been seen since.

Ms Tanner is on record - panorama - as saying that she didn’t see his face.
It was only LAST WEEK that ms Tanner said that she thought Ms Coopers efit ‘could be’ the same man.

Firstly, we know the PJ didnt take Tanner seriously. Why? Who knows. But what they should have done is put together an e-fit of this person, not some scrawny pic of a man with a parting in his hair. That is the first indication as to the unproffesionalism of the PJ.
The second point is that the sighting by Cooper was indeed two weeks or whatever prior to May 3rd. But if you’re going to try and track someone down then you dont just ignore a statement, you do something about it. They again should have recognised any similarities with Tanners sighting if indeed there were. Again, an e-fit or artists impression should have been put together. Its a matter of illimination afterall. They havent got much evidence with regard to an abduction and I can see why. They are not interested.

While you’re entitled to express an opinion that the lack of information pointing to an abduction is because of some disinterest by the PJ, you actually have no proof that it’s their alleged disinterest that leads to the lack of information. The most likely explanation is that the PJ are a competent police force doing a competent job in a difficult case and there simply isn’t any evidence that points to an abduction.

Well thanks for acknowledging the fact that Im entitled to an express an opinion. And I have no proof of what exactly? I am merely giving you an opinion based on my understandings. Now, if you’ve got nothing more to add in the PJ’s defence other than ‘the most likely explantion’ then you have no foundations for your assumptions either and indeed have no argument.

But Garth, you’re not debating, you’re judging. All of your endless whining in here starts from the probably incorrect assumption that the PJ are a bunch of incompetent case fixing numpties.
I start from the position that the most suspicions looking people involved in this case are the parents themselves. The parents and the team they have assembled around them who predominantly appear to expend much of their energies rubbishing the PJ and the investigation. I haven’t a clue what the McCann’s may have done, but I am fairly convinced that they know a lot more about what happened in the lead up to and following Madeleine’s disappearance, in my opinion.

I was thinking about the 2nd AND 3rd May and also the older children in the party. When I was nearly 4 (more years ago than I’m prepared to say) I caused an injury to a relative of mine that landed them in A&E and I can still remember the incident now. Point being that if you do or witness something bad you never quite forget it. I agree that the twins probably wouldn’t have much to say but I would say that there’s quite a difference between a child just turned two and a child approaching four years of age.
I wonder what the law would be if the authorities wanted to question a child but the parents didn’t give consent - plus the problem of language barriers etc.

you will see how many times after madeleine went missing that the “family” went to the zoo. My granddaughter loves the zoo, but once or twice in a year is enough - but I cant imagine kids of the age that the twins were would want to go quite so often - sandcastles would be more interesting. If I were in p de l - I would be checking the zoo area- just in my opinion anyway.

Now writing about these things [for some of us in a foreign language] is not easy and “delicate” to be understood by - let’s be honest - for the greater part complete strangers.
We all [must have] had seemingly insurmountable happenings for which nobody has been able to really prepare or train us: death of loved ones, losing loved ones = separation, serious disappointments, financial troubles, frustration, agony, anger, unfair treatment … and see: we’re still there

Maybe as many have said the reason they screamed abduction was they believed her to be too sedated to leave on her own.. but perhaps she did?

No No NO abduction only, even K’s mother thought she may have wandered off but after only 1 1/2 hours and maybe even before that it was definitely abduction…………..No other possibility and no independant thinking allowed not even a proper investigation.

I have had the blessing of caring for 20 babies to children in the last 15 odd years from nannying to minding, and being a parent, some for up to 5 years.
So thats 20 two year olds, one to one , parent, nanny, minder, aunty,
most almost everyday.
This last year I have had off since my mum died.
I have first hand knowledge of parents and children and the body language, and the social face, etc……

There is not a cemetary at the church - well only a couple of very old graves. It’s all been landscaped since May so I suspect there was a good search. The current cemetery is in rua de cimiteria about 100 yds from OC, over opposite Estrela Da Luz apts. Get it on Google earth. I’ve walked it - can’t see how you’d make a new grave without being noticed. Many of the graves small, for ashes etc. Well kept place.
No, more likely scrubland .(animal wildlife) - short walk away for a fit person - or over the cliffs I’m afraid is more likely. all very accessible.
