Madeleine McCann: Gail Cooper Says And Amy Fitzpatrick
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
THE SUN: “Potential Maddie witness snub”
“The British woman who may have seen Maddie McCann’s kidnapper has NOT been quizzed by Portuguese cops”
Gail Cooper says she saw a man. An artist’s impression of the man has been released
Gail, of Newark, Notts, says: “They never contacted me. He must be found, even if it is to rule him out”
IRISH INDEPENDENT: “Mum vows to continue search for missing teen Amy”
“Mari Luz Cortes vanished on January 13, as she went to buy sweets from a local kiosk in the Spanish town of Huelva, near the border with Portugal. A massive search for the five-year-old is ongoing.
“The disappearance has been linked to that of Madeleine McCann from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, although police said they did not think the two cases were connected.
Ms Fitzpatrick yesterday said that her only daughter is “still just a kid”.
“She is only 15 and she has disappeared without trace.”
Amy Fitpatrick was 15 when she vanished after leaving her friend’s house near Feungirola, in Spain, at 10pm on New Year’s Day. She set out on the 20-minute walk to her own house, but has not been seen since.

There would be a scandal if it ended like that. There was plenty of publicity about Soham, but Huntley’s trial went ahead. In the case against two footballers, Bowyer and Woodgate, their trial actually collapsed because of a newspaper article, but there was a re-trial that went through to its conclusion. Hogan, in the papers today, his trial went ahead.
It would be a sad day if a UK court made a ruling that effectively meant it had no faith in the jury system.

But Garth, you’re not debating, you’re judging. All of your endless whining in here starts from the probably incorrect assumption that the PJ are a bunch of incompetent case fixing numpties.
—————————–
Now now now, you’re getting all silly. Firstly when I say judge, I dont mean the PJ the McCanns, I mean the people you’re debating with. Your judging moiself. And just remember,
I was posed question from Noseycow. I gave her my opinion based on my understandings. I concede I may be wrong. But who are you to Patronise my goodself when you have no further knowledge!
And again you bleet about my ‘probable’ incorrect assumptions. Its only improbable in your eyes but no less improbable than the McCanns having more knowledge about her death in mine.
So better we debate rather than play a game of attrition hmm?
I start from the position that the most suspicions looking people involved in this case are the parents themselves. The parents and the team they have assembled around them who predominantly appear to expend much of their energies rubbishing the PJ and the investigation. I haven’t a clue what the McCann’s may have done, but I am fairly convinced that they know a lot more about what happened in the lead up to and following Madeleine’s disappearance, in my opinion.

I think you have a point. A bit like buying a car or a laptop. If you don’t like it, or it doesn’t work the way you want it to, trade it in for another one.
I don’t mean it to sound as harsh as that but, in our family, we’re expecting an overdue baby and everyday we’re on the phone to each other. IVF is another thing. I think (IMO) that there is more to the IVF thing that we’re aware of. Reported earlier on, that JT was present at M’s birth - could she possibly have been a surragate mother? K Mc doesn’t look like she’s given birth to any body - let alone twins. My sister had twins and she was as big as a house before the birth. Mind you that was quite a few years ago. But in reality, does she really look like she’s had three children?
Just an observation… that’s all

One of the last MF posts:
snipped quote..
Unfortunately if charged here the McCanns would never face trial.
An application would be made under Abuse of Process rule stating that the adverse publicity that the McCanns had received would make a fair trial impossible.
The granting of such applications are rare but as no case has ever received the amount of publicity that the McCann case has one cannot see how it could be refused.A famous case where this rule was invoked was R v Taylor & Taylor the appeal against conviction of two sisters charged with murder.
This would explain the apparent PR blunders being made by Clarence and the change in opinion of the Mail’s published comments.
The McCanns legal team could well be engaged in a policy of stirring up adverse publicity in order to ensure that an application is successful.
For example did the McCanns really need to receive 2 months mortgage payments from the Fund or was it done as provocation?
The McCann receive letters containing £10 to £100’s in cash to their home in Rothely so did they really need to publicly take from the Fund?
It is doubtful is Clarence would make the mistakes he makes unless it was intended.
end snipped quote
……………………………………………………………………………………………………….
The closure of the Mirror Forum shows Clarence has succeeded in stirring up so much adverse publicity that a fair trial is impossible
Has this been the intention of the PR machine all along?

Maybe if the body was put in the tip, the perpetrator actually didn’t care if a third party found it, but things didn’t work out that way.
