“Mari Luz Cortes vanished on January 13, as she went to buy sweets from a local kiosk in the Spanish town of Huelva, near the border with Portugal. A massive search for the five-year-old is ongoing.
“The disappearance has been linked to that of Madeleine McCann from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, although police said they did not think the two cases were connected.
Ms Fitzpatrick yesterday said that her only daughter is “still just a kid”.
“She is only 15 and she has disappeared without trace.”
Amy Fitpatrick was 15 when she vanished after leaving her friend’s house near Feungirola, in Spain, at 10pm on New Year’s Day. She set out on the 20-minute walk to her own house, but has not been seen since.

I believe that certain subjects where deleted and the posters just put them back up again. Some of the pro’s were apparently posting some of the nastier posts with the intention of getting the topic closed down and it would appear that they were succesful.

The Team McCann objective is to have total control of all media sources, in my opinion. The key point here is about controlling the message, the tone, the precise words etc. The objectives seem to revolve around making Kate and Gerry the victims, painting the PJ as incompetent and raising money, in my opinion.
Pretty difficult to see how that might prejudice a “fair trial” here in the UK since the media coverage has on the whole been favourable. Even lots of the stuff that was reproduced here in the UK from the Portuguese and Spanish media was presented in a fairly xenophobic “look what those horrible people are saying about our beloved Kate and Gerry”.
I don’t doubt that if charges were ever forthcoming that they’ll play the unfair trial card, and lots of others, but the trial is unlikely to occur in the UK and trials in Portugal generally take place in front of three judges and no jury. I believe there are some very rare circumstances in which trial by jury is possible in Portugal.

I predict that by ground hog day - everything will be out in the open and charges will be forthcoming. Clarrie has not fooled anyone - anywhere. Everyone can see through him and anyone with an ounce of common sense would swipe him out of the equasion in one foul swoop. I dont think for one moment that the pj, the british police or the media are taking Clarrie seriously - he is the only source of “quote” from anyone in Rothley- so without him nobody would get anything concrete or otherwise from the McCamp. The papers need him - the McCanns should realise by now that he is nothing but a hinderence to them. If you glance back through his quotes - what a lot of tosh -contradictions by the barrow load - nothing substantial - just waffle. What I really find disturbing is that in every interview, both in the media and on TV, first and foremost the pleas from Clarrie and the Camp are to remove the McScums from suspect status - and only in passing do they mention finding Madeleine. I hope in my heart that Madeleine was taken to be sold to a childless couple who will love her. I KNOW that this senario is so very, very, unlikely - but any other situation does not bear thinking about. whatever the real truth behind this very, very sad situation the McCanns need to be very very severely reprimanded. After all - the reason they do not have Madeleine is because one way or another they neglected her
